I am rapt with the Vortex Fury 5000 binoculars - thank you. Great service from Jacob's Digitzl - prompt and polite. I actually paid for them twice (I'm not very electronics savvy) and they rang up and sorted it out. The binoculars are fab - better optics than I expected, and the range finder is an amazing new experience and very straight forward to use (even for an old fella like me) Watch out rabbits!

Almost a perfect score

It's a great product overall. I hesitantly give it four stars instead of a perfect score because when I look through my regular Vortex binos versus these, this pair suffers a slight image degradation issue, especially in low light. Other than that, the ability to range-find, change reading brightness, select units, etc. is fabulous. I love not having to switch from binos to rangefinder. Made the difference between bagging the last beautiful buck in the freezer.

Spent about 2 hrs. familiarizing myself with the functions and adjusting the straps to fit me. Did some measuring distances in my neighborhood with very responsive feedback info on hard targets. I'll find out how soft targets respond this hunting season. My only concern is with the 2 buttons that work the on and function mode. With gloves on, these buttons are not distinguishable, even with bare fingers, there not. (Chg. the couture to an indent and raised bump) Only thru. repeated use you will be able to unconsciously work these. So far satisfied with my investment.

Few things to be aware of!

One thing I find very useful are the reviews from actual users hence my taking the time to give my opinion on my recent purchase of the Fury Binoculars on a week long elk hunt. First the good: The Fury's are very clear. Weight is good and price is very fair for range finding binoculars. The not so good: I had some issues that are causing me to return them. First was the diopters. They are constantly falling down when not in use. the right one ended up so loose it completely fell off. Luckily it happened in the snow and I was able to backtrack and find it. I used electrical tape to keep it in position for the rest of the hunt. The focus rings are also very easy to come out of adjustment and the eye piece itself is very hard rubber and pretty uncomfortable when doing ... MoreOne thing I find very useful are the reviews from actual users hence my taking the time to give my opinion on my recent purchase of the Fury Binoculars on a week long elk hunt. Another issue was in bright conditions you could not see the display even on the high setting. the range finder works, but you have to move the binos to a darker area to read it. The last issue for me was the button used to do the ranging. they are flat and you have to try and find them or take the bino down look where they are and then go back and find what you wanted to range. I do think they are durable and optics are clear but I'm returning them and going to bite the bullet for the Leica.

I LOVE these binos. I bought them after two other buddies did and using theirs easily convinced me to spend the money on these. The glass is extremely clear and the rangefinder is really easy to use. These pick up ranges easily and they are angle compensating. For bow hunting it is so much more efficient to be able to look through your binos and range all in one, way less movement. I highly recommend these binos, especially for bow hunters.

Good for the price

Let me start by saying I really wanted these to replace my Swarovski binoculars and separate range finder and get it all in a single package. The range finder works perfectly. Accuracy is spot on with Swarovski and maybe a little faster. 1,200 yards is easily achievable in a standing position and with a solid rest I got a tree at 1,590. The glass is fairly good but not the same as the top 3. Swarovski is brighter and has better definition, especially in shaded areas under trees and shrubs. Construction is very good and it is well balanced. I do wish the ranging button was more defined. It will be hard to find with gloves on. The diopter focus will move easily and could have been stiffer or put in a better place. Overall this is a well made product for the price and ... MoreLet me start by saying I really wanted these to replace my Swarovski binoculars and separate range finder and get it all in a single package. Mediocre Glass, Expected Much More from Vortex
13 October 2020

I am a big Vortex fan, i have a pair of Razor Bino's and a Razor Spotting Scope. However in my opinion they missed the mark on the Fury HD 5000s (at least at this price point).I picked these up few weeks ago, after using in the field it was apparent that the glass used is not of the same quality and precision of the Razor HD or Viper HD Lineup. Needless to say I returned these to Cabelas for a refund.I would also like to add these wear very heavy. If you are to purchase be sure to have a good harness because you will need it for all day hunts. They do come with a vortex harness, but i found it to be uncomfortable and difficult to adjust.Pros: Outstanding Warranty & Customer Service, Range Finder Works WellCons: Glass is Mediocre at best, Heavy & Bulky

These bino’s are excellent. Clear, accurate, and as advertised. You’ll appreciate not having to carry a separate range finder. I’ve had them dialed in at 4200yds. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is I haven’t had a chance to use them in season yet. I’m confident that 5th star will come with use.Being hyper-critical, the Fury weighs more than I anticipated. Also the harness is a cheesy. Neither is a deal breaker, but I’ve had to get used to the weight.I would recommend the Fury.

These are great binos. Even better waranty. They are very clear and the AB solution is very cool. But, Sig has already been doing this for a couple years with the Kilo3000BDX, which are hundreds of dollars cheaper. The biggest advantage of the Vortex over the Sigs, Vortex warranties the binos and electronics for life where Sig only warranties the binos for life and electronics for 5. That may be a factor for some folks. But how many people aren't going to be looking at the latest technology 5 years from now? These Fury's are great, but for about 25% less, I am going with the Sigs.
