I have used numerous Binoculars in personal and professional life. These Binos have amazing clarity and quality is outstanding. I would highly recommend them for anyone in the shooting, hunting, or outdoors community. Whether you will be using binos on a daily basis or every now and again, these are the ones for you.

I purchased a set of Vortex Diamondback binoculars for for my daughter when she started hunting because the price was right and I didn't want her to possibly damage my Euros. While hunting with her, I left my Euros in the cabin and she let me use the Diamondbacks for glassing some deer. It was the first time that I used them outside and was impressed with the clarity. Fast forward a few years and I was in need of a more powerful set of glasses as I had drawn a sheep tag. I checked out all of the big name (read high dollar) binoculars along with the Vortex Viper HD. The sales man took me outside at my request to compare them in the natural light and I chose the Vortex. I glassed 23 rams on my hunt and the Vortex Viper HD were critical in judging them. When the time comes to replace the other brands that we have, it will be with Vortex

It all started with the Viper PST I bought used from a good friend. It then turned into a Venom RDS, then Viper RDS, then a Crossfire II. I had always wanted a solid set of binos but was afraid to pull the trigger. I ended up picking up some Viper HD 12x50's even though I heard they might be a little more unstable while holding. These setup great. Clarity is awesome. Really happy. I also decided that if im going to pick up a higher end of binos, to sink my teeth into a decent spotting scope. Of which I decided on the diamondback. Super happy with all my Vortex optics. Still waiting for a zoom lever for my Crossfire II though! Gives me piece of mind to know that if anything happens the VIP warranty is there.

Highly recommended. Extremely clear glass. Very durable. Easily manipulated. There is a one eye focus that locks in then just use the top dial to focus in at different ranges. Friend dropped off the side of a Mountain in Wyoming, watched them tumble end over end for what felt like an eternity, friend went down and found them. Only damage was scratches on the housing and one of the eye pieces doesn't screw in and out as easily as it used to. Still fully functional, used them for 3 more days before we headed home.My only con would be the weight. With the harness it's not too bad but with just the neck sling it can feel like a lot wagging around.Overall I'm a huge Vortex guy. I highly recommend all of their products. Buy some. I love eye strain and not knowing if that's 2 or 4 points! Said no one. Ever. They are worth every penny and the best bang for your buck for saving your eyesight from strain and getting clear visuals on your targets. I spent a week hunting mule deer in Nevada glassing wide open spaces and absolutely love these binos. My buddy with the "other" green bino company binoculars and spotting scope was converted and could not believe I was picking up more critters than he was while glassing. A vortex spotting scope is definitely on my wish list. I also got the chest harness with them and they have been comfortable and durable. Hopefully I never have to use the warranty but its nice to know that its there. I think this 12x50 magnification is the best for anyone ... MoreBuy some. These binoculars have been great. I carry them with me often. They are certainly heavier than the ones I had been using the past few years. The 12x is really nice out west where you spend a lot of time looking through glass. You do experience more eye fatigue with the 12x which I knew was a possibility and they are not as bright as the 10x50's or 10x42's in my opinion. I have wildlife in the backyard often and keep these handy. I use them on scouting trips as well looking for deer and elk in CO. I would purchase again as I am not disappointed but if I were to do it over again I would probably go with the 10x50's. I have a Sig Oscar 3 handheld spotter that I can use for greater magnification but the 10x50's I think would create less eye strain when used over long ... MoreThese binoculars have been great. These are probably the most clear binoculars I have ever used. The 12x50’s can be a bit much if you are hunting in the trees but during elk season we are in and out of the trees a lot. So I chose these so I have the extra magnification when we set to glass areas further away. The vortex case makes carrying these very easy too and I don’t really notice the extra weight. Highly recommend the 12x50’s.
This is the only set of binos I own. After first purchasing them, I sold everything else I had because I didn't need them anymore. I use them for EVERYTHING. From being able to watch deer across a corn field 15 mins before shooting light, to prairie dogs in the plains, to calling coyotes through the river bottoms and sand hills. If I'm hunting they are in a bino rig on my chest. I was using a lesser quality bino made by another manufacture for a very long time, I had some out of state buddies come and do some doe management with us and they all ran vortex. They were picking deer out in the woods well before and after daylight that I didn't even know were there. Now that I have mine, I'm right there with them. The Vipers are well made, nice looking and tougher than nails. Glass is crystal clear and allows extended viewing hours because of the way they pull in light. These Binos rank right up there with best outdoor investment made.
I bought these binoculars a year and a half ago and they have been great! I tried out many models and sizes in the store from other brands and in Vortex from the Diamondback to the Razor and settled on these. In my opinion, they simply had the highest performance to price ratio. I have used my Vipers to successfully hunt and harvest deer, elk, bear, antelope, predators, and birds. The 12x50s work great freehand or even better with the quick attach tripod mount. I am able to pick up and assess animals at 3+ straight line miles. They have performed nearly flawless in harsh conditions from 100F to -30F and have been fallen on, dropped, lost (and found), submerged, frozen, grimed, dirtied, and otherwise field abused. The only small issue I had was one of the adjustable ... MoreI bought these binoculars a year and a half ago and they have been great! The only small issue I had was one of the adjustable eyecups stopped functioning properly. I was able to send them in over the off season and Vortex fixed the problem, no questions asked and at no cost to me. They also cleaned up the binos and sent them back looking almost new. Great product, especially at this price point, and great customer service! You will not be disappointed with these binoculars or this company.
ive had these binos for 3 years now, they're fantastic. I've used them on a moose hunt in Maine, scouting for bears in the catskill mountains, andfor targeting waterfowl hunting locations. they preform excellent in low light, are near indestructible, and not overall too heavy to have on your chest either. they're a great budget performance optics option if you ask me, and id recommended them to anyone.
