The Vox VX50 is fantastic Keyboard amp that can also be used as a Keyboard Monitor. I use the amp for practice & when playing live I run my Keyboards through the PA & use the Vox VX50 as perfect Keyboard Monitor next to me. With 50 watts of power I can easily her what I'm playing over the rest of the band. It also use the LXR plug in as a Vocal Monitor. Because of it'sversatility I highly recommending this Keyboard amp to all Keyboard player's, you won't regret it. AMS has a wonderful payment plan for everyone that I use with all my purchases otherwise I couldn't afford some of the nice gear that I have. Thank you so much AMS for all you do.

So small and light, it's almost toy like. A fantastic sound, considering this. Nice and clear at loud volumes and i reckon it will be loud enough for my synths at a small venue. It sounds better than my old solid state keyboard amp with a 12 inch speaker, and is only 1/4 the weight.

For the price, size & weight, this is clearly a practice amp. However, it is surprising how good it is, and how much it pumps out! There would be no problem using this in a small venue. At full volume, standing close to it, it was uncomfortable on the ears! I was expecting the dynamic range to be a bit weak, but the bass is good, & the mid & upper registers really shine. The only comments I can make against it are:1. It's plastic construction. It will require a bit more care, however, it does seem reasonably solid, and no doubt, this makes it light, which is what I wanted in a practice amp.2. Sound reproduction is good, however, realistic sounds from a keyboard or synth are not completely faithfully reproduced. It's not bad by any means, but compared to my ... This compact, light weight, attractive amp is my new pride and joy. Every note on my e piano rings clear and true. Love that I can use as a PA when I hook up my iPod. I live in an apartment and it sounds good enough that my next door neighbor said he can hear the piano sometimes at night and loves the sound so much he wants to come sit on my couch and listen while I play. No noise complaints for me! Could not be happier with an amp. This amp is the business 100%.
Overall:Amazing how much sound comes out of this incredibly light amp. Is it loud enough for a high volume rock band? Well….not by itself but put the line out through a larger unit and this thing smokes! Full range great quality sound and tube warmth and at practice it’s fine all alone. Word of caution. Specs are incorrect. There are no effects or phantom power built in seems like an honest mistake. Sure beats lugging my Roland KC500 (70 lbs) around and if I need more volume I put it through my Mackie Thump 12 (30lbs). All bought from zZounds they are the best for speedy shipping customer service and payment plans. Buy this amp but not from anyone else. You will not be disappointed.
This little thing is awesome. Perfect for at home but so lightweight too i will use it as a monitor for rehearsals. No bells and whistles but for the price its great. 2 inputs and 1 line out is huge for this price.
So far so good. Great sound, compact and lightweight - really happy with purchase.
Lightweight, portable, sounds amazing and looks really cool. I was torn between 2 amps but chose this one purely because I preferred the look.
Wonderful lightweight toy amplifier that sounds nothing like a tube amp and is worthless for live performance, even in very low volume venue. Used it during a low volume rehearsal to amplify a Casio keyboard that previously was run thru a Fender Acoustasonic Jr. with good results (I needed the Fender for a stereo guitar test.)I bought the amp based on all the RAVE REVIEWS others have put out there and was immediately disappointed. They all must be using it for recording or low volume techno music perhaps? This amp. MAY BE good for that - I dunno! What I DO KNOW = in a live setting it is acoustically a dead fish covered with a wet blanket. In other words it does not punch through and mingle with the mix of 3 guitars and 4 vocalists, so was useless to me.I sent ... In other words it does not punch through and mingle with the mix of 3 guitars and 4 vocalists, so was useless to me.I sent back for a refund - and for half the price of this toy amp I bought a used Peavey KB100 keyboard amp in like new condition that will work great from keyboard and electric drums. The Peavey is what I needed - but it is a heavy (40?) beast.... Worth it for the 15" speaker low end. If you are looking for a versatile Keyboard, Bass, Acoustic Guitar amp for live use do not waste money on this Vox. Check out the Peavey KB or KB/A series.BTW - All my current electric guitar amps are VOX. Love their tube powered classic guitar amps! Not this plastic toy amp.
THIS AMP IS THE SIZE OF A LARGE LUNCHBOX & SOUNDS LIKE IT! All the online reviews for this amp are great, so I bought one to amplify a keyboard in a low volume live venue with NO drummer. A couple guitarists and a bass player. I've used the Vox 4W AC guitar amps for years in church setting and love them (with an upgraded speaker.) I expected similar quality sound from this amp. What a disappointment!!For my needs it sucked. Maybe all the online review writers are using it for low-volume techno music recording playing by themselves in a studio setting. If you are looking for a good LIVE MUSIC keyboard amp don't waste your money & time with this amp - unless you intend to mic it into the PA system or somehow capture/control it in the mix.
