I previously had a VS retractacord for 13 years which I loved. The switch broke so I needed a new one but read reviews that the new version wasn’t as good so ended up getting the 5Q instead. It’s a great dryer- faster and lighter than my previous one. The speed in which it dries my hair does make it a bit more fluffy - but I generally straighten it after so it’s not a problem for me. Reasonably quiet and light to hold. I really miss being able to retract the cord and fold up to fit nicely in my draw or bag and would have loved if the new retracord was good, but happy with my choice of the 5Q

This hairdryer has some power! I'm really happy with the result of blow drying my hair. Nothing fancy for me, I just point and brush. The hair remains soft, dries quickly (medium length hair), doesn't puff up and fly away. It is powerful, and have used different speeds to control drying of fringe compared to back and sides.

I first bought the VS black super2400 hair dryer but was unsure if it was the right one so bought the VS 5Q as well (unbeknown to me during the online buying process that Myer do not do returns on hairdryers!!). I have to keep both. Both very good at keeping frizzies away, both quick drying but I think the 5Q is better at making hair look shiny and healthy. I would definitely recommend the 5Q for salon look dried hair. Very powerful hair dryer and dries in much less time than my old VS dryer.

This hairdryer gets my hair dry super fast — and it’s not even on the highest setting! I mainly use a hairdryer to dry my hair, and not so much for styling, but it does work well when I style it too, as the accessories concentrate the hot air to very specific sections and it’s easy to add a flick or a curl. The hairdryer is surprisingly quiet given the blast of hot air it produces.
High quality unit - easy to use with a cool air function. lightweight and dries the hair in no time. Just be mindful (and can happen with any dryer) , my hair did get caught up in the vent at the back of the dryer, there is an overhang of about an inch and a half before you see netting to stop hair going in further - something to be mindful of , especially if using to dry kids hair. Otherwise, very happy with the dryer.
I purchased this as my last hairdryer also a VS is over 20+ years old and was noisy and left my hair frizzy. This one is much quieter and dries my fine wavy hair much faster. I love the longer cord and the slightly light weight meaning it's easier on my arms and hands whilst using it.
I bought this hairdryer and I have the frizziest of hair. It is stronger than my turbo one that died after 20 years and could not work out why it was not getting my hair straight enough. With much thought I decided to change the nozzle and straight away my hair got straighter and straighter. I put my old turbo hairdryer's shorter and thinner nozzle on and my hair straight away produced all that moisture and steam I need to get my hair straight and I have since had so many comments on how good my hair looks. The dryer is brilliant BUT it needs two nozzles to choose from. One shorter and small for extreme frizz and the one that you have provided is good for general drying
I have super thick hair and this hair dryer completely dries my hair in less than 5 mins! So smooth it doesn’t need straightening and also doesn’t get too hot it damages my hair, just super high speed drying! Great purchase! Would recommend!
Having only used cheap hairdryers before, I have just discovered that a good hairdryer is worth it! There are 3 very distinct temperatures plus cool shot and 3 fan levels. No overheating or cutting out on high. I use the mid temp and mid or high fans and style my hair in a fraction of the time and hair is not dried out at the ends. Love the diffuser for a more curly look. The finish of the dryer is also different and provides an exceptional grip. Strongly recommend this dryer, great for all types of hair, long and short. Love it!
This powerful hair dryer is for someone looking for quick hair dry in a few minutes. My sister wanted to buy Dyson hairdryer after she used this. She changed her mind and bought it straightaway without second thought. She said that she does not need expensive Dyson this hair dryer is a game changer. She love it as do I.
