A great jacket! Wind proof and waterproof! Fits a tad smaller but great length and style. Highly recommend (this is my 4th HH Jacket purchase and second of this style! I own 3 personally). This one was bought for my daughter as a present and she’s 5’7” 125 lbs and likes roomy but not super baggy fit. She has the medium and it’s perfect for her. She could’ve worn the small but likes to layer and have extra room. It’s quite flattering! Wore it at Disney when it was raining +12C and was very comfortable with a sweater on underneath.

Great quality jacket with a nice fit and shape if you are wider in the hips and smaller in the chest and shoulders. I am between a medium and large in long jackets, and went with the large in this one to allow for layering hoodies and warm sweaters. It's light weight, not for really cold days, but completely waterproof. Nice tall collar and good sized pockets fit my phone. Also has an inside chest pocket. The hood is large, but doesn't stay rolled inside the collar very well. I'm adding a piece of velcro to keep it tucked away when not in use.

I bought this for a trip to Scotland at Christmas time. We haven't had those frigid, wet temps here yet, but plenty of chilly rain. I stay dry inside, although I sweat if it's above 50 degrees. Going to be an excellent choice for winter weather! The soft lined collar and pockets are a plus. The hood is generous and stays up. I don't have a problem with blocking my vision as someone else commented. Elastic cuffs keep the rain out of my sleeves.

I have gotten a number of compliments on the fit of the jacket. However, it is a slim fit, so if you want to wear any additionally layers under it I would size up. I have small wrists and I find the cuffs are quite narrow - perfect for myself, but might be a bit tight on someone else. Jacket keeps you dry. Only thing I don't like about it is the double zipper, but I just find all double zippers annoying when you are trying to zip up in a hurry!
I'm happy to give this review because I hope the designers of the coat will see it. This coat had everything I was looking for, for a very reasonable price. I could have loved it. I don't like 100% elastic cuffs and this has just a small part of the cuffs elastic. I wanted one that has a piece of cloth between the zipper and my throat so I'd never have a cold zipper touching my skin. This coat has that. It was the perfect length. It has a two-way zipper. However, oddly, the hood isn't functional! First of all, it's huge. It does have the two elastics, one on each side, near the front bottom of the hood. To tighten the hood, you tighten these elastics. This result of this is the hood coming down over your eyes, so you can't see. But then usually there's another ... I love the way this coat fits, just a nice shape. The lining is just enough for cool weather and not the puffy style I would wear if it were below 40 degrees. It’s a little tight for me to layer with a thick sweater but if I lost 10 pounds it would be perfect. Currently 170, 5’6”. Bought XL which equals size 14 in this brand. Keeping it because I like it so much.
I was looking for a longer jacket for walking the dog. This is perfect for me. It has a zipper that can be unzipped from the bottom for a little extra room when bending or sitting in the car too. It has a good hood that can be concealed in the collar which is a good size to keep me covered but I can still see without it flopping forward. The jacket even has an inside pocket which I didn’t even see until a week later. I am very happy with my purchase of this jacket. It is well made and will last for years.
This is my second purchase of this jacket. I love the length and the feminine cut, the two zippered outside pockets and single inside pocket, the capacious fold-away hood, the two-way zip and placket with fasteners, the high soft collar, and the silky lining. It is a true-to-size fit although I size up so I can layer a fleece under it. The coat is windproof and dry and is excellent for hiking. I bought this black version to wear in town for going out in the spring and fall as the finish is more discreet than my first coat which is still going strong and is my go-to 'field coat"Love them both!

Having said that, I was also needing to replace my raincoat so it turned for the positive that I accidentally ordered this.So far out Winter in Pemberton has been mild with temperatures hovering between 4 and -1 during the day. I adjust my laying accordingly and luckily have a 3/4 lightweight down jacket that fits comfortably underneath. It will remain to be seen how efficient it will be when the temperatures dip lower.The Amythyst is a beautiful shade. The Medium fits well on my 5'7" 135 pound frame with enough room to layer under without feeling stuffed in.The 3 star rating is because the cuff is fairly snug...and I am small boned...so I am now shopping for a ... This coat was almost exactly what I was looking for: A windproof, waterproof jacket with zip outer pockets that was long enough to cover my butt. Helly Hansen make quality products and this jacket is no exception. My only complaint might be that external pockets could be a smidge deeper and ithe addition of venting under the arms as this is very insulating so it doesn't allow the body to breathe. Sleeves were a bit long which is normal for my short frame but you can snug up the wrist snaps tighter so it works. Zippers on the jacket (dual slide) and pockets work smoothly. So very happy overall and have worn it outdoors this winter over top of a fleece liner jacket with plenty of warmth. Definitely intended for Spring & Fall but with that extra layer underneath I will ...
