It is much nicer and more portable than its predecessor. Yes, it makes good coffee, but I tried it with boiling water. I preheated the machine with empty hot water. It still gave me lukewarm coffee. The only problem is that it does not make the coffee as hot as it should, but the consistency and taste are very good.

I have been reading a lot of google reviews about this product. There seem to be quite a few people saying the coffee they are making is cold and the machine does not function properly.I am a certified barista of 16 years and I can assure you this machine is amazing. These people with negative reviews simply do not know how to correctly use the Minipresso GR2.I have used all types of at-home coffee makers, and this Wacaco product is THE BEST I have ever used. Better than a Breville Barista Pro, better than an Nespresso machine, better than a French Press, better than Turkish coffee, better than your standard drip machineIt makes perfect espresso, and it costs a fraction of what other espresso machines cost. And learn how to use it CORRECTLY!

Preparing an espresso on the go is a good thing. Easy to use, compact and practical to transport and, last but not least, very simple to prepare. However, and this is the unfortunate thing why I would not buy the product again and cannot recommend it to my friends, is that the espresso, which is generally ***** hot, is pressed out "undrinkably" cold due to the pumping process. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed about this and cannot enjoy my espresso.

It has two little containers that seems are meaning to carry your coffee with your miniexpresso but they do not close, so almost all caffe end falling. So I use my own little container to carry the caffe. Then, I have tried with fine grind, medium grind and coarse grind but with all types takes a lote of time to get an small expresso. It is easier to just putt the coffee in hot water and then use an small filter. It was a good idea but I think is not what I expected that was an easy and functional way to do my own caffe.Currently I cannot remove the caffe part since I tried to do an expresso, I start to push it, the caffe never came out and now seems both parts are stuck with the pressure that is in the middle. I am waiting so see if the pressure release and I can separate them but seems I will need to use brute force and almost for sure it will get damaged, it last me less than 2 weeks. Go and by a French press.
I started to do some research on espresso machines recently, and came across the Minipresso GR2. I’m a sucker for good advertising, and felt that Wacaco saw me in that addiction with their early morning surf coffee. So, kudos to you guys. Based on the price and the positive reviews, I had to get one. So far I’ve loved this machine. It’s easy to clean and disassemble, which in the land of espresso I think is important for longevity and taste quality. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the espresso taste using both the 8 gram and 12 gram formats. The end result has good color, texture, and some nice crema. I’ve used a more course grind that true espresso enthusiasts would croak over, and got a great drink. I’ve also used my nicer grinder, and had an even better ending taste. ... MoreI started to do some research on espresso machines recently, and came across the Minipresso GR2. Does this replace the far more expensive manual press I also have? No, but that one also isn’t traveling, camping, early morning surfing, etc. You name it, this little Minipresso can come with you anywhere. Now I just hope Wacaco sends me their scale as my Christmas present.
I’ve taken the Wacaco mini presso GR2 around the world for portable espresso. Use it every day while abroad. Airport hotels, apartments, anywhere that has boiling water. Use it with the sub minimal nanofoamer and 1zpresso Q air.
It has two little containers, seems could be used to storage your coffe carried on with the miniexpresso but they do not close so almost all cafe falls. And in the other hand, i tried with fine grind, medium grind and coarse grind but with all takes a lot of time to get the expresso done. I just spent 2 weeks living out of a van in Iceland with my wife. We used this every day and I couldn't be more happy with it. I can’t wait to take my Minipresso on all of my future camping trips and travels. I’ve finally found the perfect espresso maker for travel. Perfect espresso every time!
This is an amazingly useful little gadget. It works really well and make a really good esspresso at home or on the go. I definitely recommend this for traveling or just at home. Perfect for long road trips or for the jet setter that travels the globe.
You get a tiny espresso and not strong enough.Coffee chamber is small and water tank also small.Could have a NS capsule adapter.Size and portability are the main strengths.Need to improve on espresso output.
