The Minipresso NS2 is the new generation of the well-known Minipresso NS. Smaller and lighter, it’s even more portable while still offering amazing espresso quality through the use of NS CAPSULES. The advantage of brewing with a capsule is the coffee is already ground, measured, and tamped with higher precision in a condensed hermetically sealed package for perfect preservation of all the flavors of freshly ground coffee. There is very little left for error, so your espresso looks and tastes great cup after cup. The use of capsules is also more convenient, mess free and makes your espresso machine easier to clean after use. The Minipresso NS2 is definitely your best choice to quickly enjoy up to 60 ml of delicious espresso at home, in the office, and on the go. Note: Minipresso NS2 does not heat up water. NS Capsules refers to Nespresso Original capsules and compatibles. Note that some original capsules might not work well with Minipresso machines. The Wacaco Minipresso NS2 is suitable for both men and women.

"Unlock the piston from its travel position and pump a few strokes to pressurize and extract delicious espresso with generous crema." is what Wacaco says.37 pumps is what it actually takes to get a single shot of espresso from this unit. The espresso tastes nice, but it takes many more pumps than advertised.

I purchased a Nanopresso with NSadapter about 3 years ago and love it. I took it on trips, long drives and even when visiting friends who only serve instant coffee.Very easy to use and easily creates great espresso. When the Minipresso NS2 came out I gave my Nanopresso away and purchased the new machine with the hope that the smaller dimensions will make it easier to take on travels.Unfortunately together with the smaller dimensions it is now extremely dififcult for me to use the pump. Extracting espresso now is difficult and I tire after extracting less than half of a shot of espresso.I think this issue should be made known in the description so people with weakness in upper limbs will be aware and purchase an easier to use machine like the Nanopresso.

After a steep learning curve we are able to make superb espressos with the Wacaco MiniPressoNS2. Actually the first attempts were a bit disappointing. But adding some barista precision we managed the process of getting superb espressos. The precision was based on temperature management. We pre-heated the equipment by filling the water container with a round of hot water. Nespresso cup inside, to be pre-heated too! Waiting some minutes for the heat to exchange into the machine and throwing the residue water. (“Some” equals 5 minutes on a watch.) Refill the container immediately with fresh boiling water in order to keep the temperature in the machine. Then do the pressure job. Rich foam and superb espresso will fill the (pre-heated!) cup. 80 ml is not really enough volume for a decent coffee. It means that Lungo capsules are not of the correct consistency. It needs an accessory to increase the volume. On more than one occasion I've encountered the 'ball-valve' popping off from the outlet. Despite having re-tightened a few times, it persists in doing this.As this is pressurized from the rear with a small spring, it has a tendency to ping off.I nearly lost it the first time I used the pump.If you're disassembling the unit for cleaning next to a sink...it may get lost down the waste/plug hole.Sometimes the capsules are crushed and you get seepage around the sides of the capsule, so - more water than coffee ends up in the cup.If you use plastic based capsules, they can sometimes split. Do not use compostible capsules (as per instructions) - they barely make it through the use in a Nespresso machine.Capsules with a foil apex, can also produce inconsistent results. Best to use the variety that have a full one piece aluminium shell. The coffee taste is only as good as the water and the capsule used to produce the finished product. There are a few niggles, but it gets used daily (still).
I love the perfect size and portability of this, and the simplicity of design. It's great for traveling, and will now be a part of my routine packing for trips. I grew tired of traveling to places and having to look for a nice coffee shop to buy my daily coffee, along with the rising prices of the drinks. This gives me the same quality espresso as I get from my Nespresso machines, and without any mess from grounds. I wish the top lid for the water compartment would close a little more tightly -- a gasket would be nice, but overall very pleased with this.
Well, it works, limited cleaning options, as per instruction prevents certain elements from being cleaned, leaves a weird left coffee smell, ocassionally have to clean it with espresso machine cleaner. Produces what is expected of a nespresso, portable, small. Limited water volume, I usually pull lungo, so that's a disappointment.Overall it works; portable nespresso, brought it over half the world already with me.
I have been using the Minipresso NS1 for the past 2 years. Recently bought the NS2 and am very pleased. All the improvements to the product are thoughtful and user friendly - from the drip tray to the larger water compartment, lighter pump and almost as many bars as a table top coffee machine. Impressive! Love it!
I have all the models, this product is really bad.A rubber (white) fell off and was lost. While I taking out the coffee (gently, unlike previous models) there is a noise of cheap plastic.Probably because I know all models well, I really feel the difference.Too bad, I'll go back to my previous and excellent model (Nanpresso).By the way, I was in Korea last month, (with the MINIPRESSO model) an amazing country, delicious food, lovely people.Thank you and health
Really handy size and does a great job. I travel a lot for work and this, in the case I also purchased, is light and portsble. The only hint I have, after using it a number of times now in the past week, is to prewarm it with some boiling water, flush through and then put the pod in, add more just boiled water and pull your shot. Doing this will save it siphoning the heat from the cold assembly so much when pulling your shot.
The water that did not pass through the capsule comes out as it is.I exchanged it, but the same phenomenon appeared on the second product I received. If you extract 10 capsules, 3 will succeed and the rest will fail.I tried several way, but failed.Even if you change the capsule. Even if you try to adjust the pressing speed, it fails.
