First up - I'm an unashamed coffee snob. Only use locally roasted and freshly ground beans, etc etc. I'd heard how good these things were and as someone who camps, a decent flat white has escaped me to date. No longer! This little machine is sensational. There is an art and method to it, which is pretty easily and quickly learned, but I give it an easy 5 stars for both quality of the unit, and quality of coffee it produces. Seriously - if you know what you are doing, have a good bean and a good grind, it will make a better coffee than pretty much any expensive espresso machine at home! The Barista kit is a must. Cleaning is a little fiddly, but a necessary evil, but making good coffee is a ritual anyway right ? so I don't mind it. It's compressed and hard, which shows you the pressure this little wonder has. LOVE IT!Make sure you use a quality bean that is ground the same as you would grind for an espresso machine. Freshly roasted really helps. (Thank you Montague Roasters of Narooma for your awesome coffee beans.)This thing lives in my car camper now, and I use it every morning instead of buying the 2nd coffee of the day. It's already paid for itself within 2 weeks.Cannot speak highly enough of this unit ! Thanks Snowys.

Camping, Dog Shows or Office this is fantastic

Since I received this plus the Nespresso Adapter, Barista Kit & Large protective pouch. I have used it multiple times. Camping, at dog shows, at work it works a charm , best accessory I’ve purchased. I definitely recommend putting hot water through first before you put your coffee through or you may end up a with a cooler cup. Paired with a jetboil stove you have quick portable coffee without the need for electricity or big bulky machines.

Small, lightweight, easy to use and makes a darn good coffee! The Pod Adapter is handy, but if you want a really great coffee, stick with a grind. I think this actually pulls a better shot than my machine at home. Grab a $3 battery milk whisk and you will be sipping Lattes with the Lizards and Cappuccinos with the Koalas. (This is where you expected me to slip in a Bad Dad Joke about drinking Long Blacks with the Red Bellies, but that would be silly... Snakes don't drink coffee, der!)

Excellent coffee anywhere anytime
22 June 2020

The best thing that we have purchased so far. My partner is polish so loves espresso coffee throughout the day. Now can have anywhere and anytime. We take with us on all our day trips and overnight trips. We have also purchased a coffee grinder and use it with the nanopresso, all packs very nicely into the coffee bag we purchased as a kit from Snowys. Excellent service from Snowys, arrived in Sydney from Adelaide in 1 day even with COVID restrictions. So impressed. Highly recommend to anyone.

Great Tasting Espresso
28 October 2023

I love the bold and rich flavor that this little gem produced. It is fun to use. Comes with a very nice case for travel. I love it. This very well made espresso maker would make an excellent gift for that special someone who has everything.

Love our portable coffee maker
7 April 2022

We love this product, together with the Barista. We have a decent coffee machine and grinder at home, but I reckon this makes better coffee. No need to leave the campsite and try and find the best coffee in the local shops, this delivers. I took a copy (enlarged) of the instructions for our first time away, as there are quite a few different components to work out and pack away properly. As with most Snowy products, watching Lauren doing the demonstration also helps.

Lower Your Expectations
11 March 2023

Unfortunately I purchased it with high hopes. However, I found the process to be a hassle, and the resulting coffee fell short of my expectations. Despite using just 8 grams of coffee, the machine produced something that resembled espresso but was not quite the real deal.As a coffee enthusiast, I was disappointed with the Nanopresso's performance. I would not recommend this product to others who are looking for a true espresso experience.

Lower Your Expectations

If you are use to classic espresso taste that comes from great real machines, this product isn’t for you. It gives you some kind of coffee but not an espresso. Definitely not a barista-grade result, sorry :( in addition, there is too much hassle for receiving just a single shot. Totally dissatisfied.

Makes a good shot
4 July 2022

This device is great & it makes a great shot of espresso with ample amount of Créme. It does take some practice shots to get the right grind & how hard to tamp down on the grind for a smooth shot(shots). At first I ground my espresso beans to fine & then tamped down too tight such that I had a time getting the liquid to come out. Be sure that you have the water container on correctly before you turn your Nanopresso over as some very hot water will spill out over your hand. I did this too. It is easy to clean—just follow directions on this. Let parts dry completely before putting it back together & back into its case. Good luck.

Six stars: indispensible
15 November 2021

I used to be a lightweight gear snob. When someone recommended I buy one of these (and all the accessories) I rolled my eyes and thought 'Glamper'. I was wrong. He was Enlightened. I was an Idiot. I have had mine for over six months and I use it every day. If you want a decent hit of coffee you'll need the Barista kit and I highly recommend picking up a Blacksmith Camping Supplies coffee bag and the large protective Nanopresso case. This gives me a dedicated hot beverage bag and it also fits a Thermos Tea Infuser which I fill with boiling water every morning so I don't have to fire up my Trangia every time I want a brew. I flush the Nanopresso with boiling water which also heats up my glass (nothing worse than lukewarm coffee on a freezing morning) and I give it a ... MoreI used to be a lightweight gear snob. Read all the instructions as the most common problem I've found is a build up of pressure. This is easy to rectify (buy the right grind and watch how you pump). Also, if you don't have the patience to pump your coffee and want instant gratification this may not be for you. This is 'slow' coffee and it is worth the effort. Once you've perfected your system it's almost as quick as brewing something up at home. The photo was taken inside my tent on a wet and really windy day (the photo isn't great as a consequence). I had boiled water first thing in the morning and I was able to have a coffee while bunkered down. I use a shot glass for my espresso and you can clearly see the crema.
