First up - I'm an unashamed coffee snob. Only use locally roasted and freshly ground beans, etc etc. I'd heard how good these things were and as someone who camps, a decent flat white has escaped me to date. No longer! This little machine is sensational. There is an art and method to it, which is pretty easily and quickly learned, but I give it an easy 5 stars for both quality of the unit, and quality of coffee it produces. Seriously - if you know what you are doing, have a good bean and a good grind, it will make a better coffee than pretty much any expensive espresso machine at home! The Barista kit is a must. Freshly roasted really helps. (Thank you Montague Roasters of Narooma for your awesome coffee beans.)This thing lives in my car camper now, and I use it every morning instead of buying the 2nd coffee of the day. It's already paid for itself within 2 weeks.Cannot speak highly enough of this unit ! Thanks Snowys.

I have the nanopresso with the pod adaptor so i generally just use Nespresso pods. It makes as good a coffee as a proper nespresso machine. Very simple to use, just boil water on the stove put a cup into the machine and after about 8 pumps on the plunger propper espresso coffee comes out. I have a bonsen kitchenaid hand held milk frother and with this little aid i can get a perfect capaccino.

The best thing that we have purchased so far. My partner is polish so loves espresso coffee throughout the day. Now can have anywhere and anytime. We take with us on all our day trips and overnight trips. We have also purchased a coffee grinder and use it with the nanopresso, all packs very nicely into the coffee bag we purchased as a kit from Snowys. Excellent service from Snowys, arrived in Sydney from Adelaide in 1 day even with COVID restrictions. So impressed. Highly recommend to anyone.

Exceptional Espresso!!
24 January 2019

Just took delivery of this a couple of days ago and have to say we are very impressed with this little machine in terms of the quality of espresso it produces, its relative ease of use for a manual machine and the clever design and high quality of build. Have only done a half dozen shots so far and they were all indistinguishable in quality from our very expensive bench top model! Bought this for travel and fully expect it to meet all our coffee needs. Also bought the pod adaptor and found that was even easier to use but with a noticeable drop off in espresso quality, but still acceptable. A marvel of clever design in a small package at a very reasonable price (on sale). Highly recommended.

Great for coffee addicts
21 May 2020

I have bought two of these after losing a part from the first - so it must be good! At 50 this one is exceptional value. I recommend also investing in the "Barista kit" which will let you make double espressos and includes an invaluable tamping tool (cannot think why this is not in the original). Only slight criticism is that the coffee can never be quite scalding hot, but there's no way round this as you're pouring the hot water in to pump through the coffee with this gizmo. Really good find, both for those who want to make coffee out and have access to a kettle and also for those who want espresso coffee but have no room in their kitchen for a machine (or cannot afford one).

Great way to get a nice shot of espresso
20 November 2019

There is a little learning curve, but that is normal. Once you get the coffee amount and grind right and use really hot water (preheating is a must) you get a nice cup of espresso. I like getting a single serv as most espresso machines really target a double shot and are struggling with the single shots. For 8gr of coffee I don't think you can get better espresso than nanopresso does. Cleaning is easy and you do not need to descale. I find myself more often than I thought I would, to be using nanopresso in-house instead of my home espresso machine, both for convinience and quality of produced espresso.

Love our portable coffee maker
7 April 2022

We love this product, together with the Barista. We have a decent coffee machine and grinder at home, but I reckon this makes better coffee. No need to leave the campsite and try and find the best coffee in the local shops, this delivers. I took a copy (enlarged) of the instructions for our first time away, as there are quite a few different components to work out and pack away properly. As with most Snowy products, watching Lauren doing the demonstration also helps.

Makes a good shot
4 July 2022

This device is great & it makes a great shot of espresso with ample amount of Créme. It does take some practice shots to get the right grind & how hard to tamp down on the grind for a smooth shot(shots). At first I ground my espresso beans to fine & then tamped down too tight such that I had a time getting the liquid to come out. Be sure that you have the water container on correctly before you turn your Nanopresso over as some very hot water will spill out over your hand. I did this too. It is easy to clean—just follow directions on this. Let parts dry completely before putting it back together & back into its case. Good luck.

Six stars: indispensible

I used to be a lightweight gear snob. When someone recommended I buy one of these (and all the accessories) I rolled my eyes and thought 'Glamper'. I was wrong. He was Enlightened. I was an Idiot. I have had mine for over six months and I use it every day. If you want a decent hit of coffee you'll need the Barista kit and I highly recommend picking up a Blacksmith Camping Supplies coffee bag and the large protective Nanopresso case. This gives me a dedicated hot beverage bag and it also fits a Thermos Tea Infuser which I fill with boiling water every morning so I don't have to fire up my Trangia every time I want a brew. Read all the instructions as the most common problem I've found is a build up of pressure. This is easy to rectify (buy the right grind and watch how you pump). Also, if you don't have the patience to pump your coffee and want instant gratification this may not be for you. This is 'slow' coffee and it is worth the effort. Once you've perfected your system it's almost as quick as brewing something up at home. The photo was taken inside my tent on a wet and really windy day (the photo isn't great as a consequence). I had boiled water first thing in the morning and I was able to have a coffee while bunkered down. I use a shot glass for my espresso and you can clearly see the crema.

Wow!! best coffee maker.
9 July 2021

I thought this would only be my hiking and biking go to brewer but its so much more. The crema on the espresso is unrivaled to any of my brews at home. The moka pot is put away and I cant see myself using it for a long time. Nanopresso is easy to use and so quick. I would recommend buying the Barista attachment too to make double shots and in turn longer coffees like americano and lattes. Great piece of kit all round. Experiment with coffee types, grind size and tamping to achieve best results...a few tries is all it takes.
