It's a plastic construction with thin stainless for the blade holder.Its quality far exceeded my expectations.

I bought this today in-store and as soon as I opened the product there were a multitude of scratches and marks on the product which cannot be rubbed off. Very dissatisfied.
I think I am just a newbie, but I would have bought a real full blade and just sharpen it. I bought this to trim under my nose as one razor kept missing that spot. I have found another solution.
