I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason. I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all. The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness). Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40.The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm. A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1.5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length - my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look. The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimming

We've used Wahl clippers for about 30 years now and, with the exception of 1 of them, have been very happy. I think recent manufacturing has decreased the quality and that was the case on the pair bought a few months ago.I cut hair (at home). I got these after researching the best clippers of 2024 in various magazines from professional recommendations. I decided to stick with the Wahl brand. These were a gift for my 30 -year-old son's birthday. (By the way, I ordered for delivery before the date but they arrived 2 days AFTER the date... not AT ALL happy about that part. WM tried to blame it on the seller but i pointed out that WM was both the seller and the fulfiller, so... they didn't ship on time and FedEx let it sit in my city for 2 days, but back to the product ... MoreWe've used Wahl clippers for about 30 years now and, with the exception of 1 of them, have been very happy. My point is, order extra early if you're on a deadline.)The kit comes with numbered guards. They do run a little bigger than the other guards ran, but that happens. Start bigger and work your way down to the size you want, then note it. It also includes a little bottle of oil, cleaning brush, and the electrical cord. I really liked that it charged and then I removed the cord and cut his hair with only the clippers. And the clipper is nice and lightweight, which is surprising because it's still great quality and does a nice job. You don't have to repeatedly go over the areas you just cut trying to get the stray hairs left behind on the first 2 swipes. It generally gets them all in the 1st one or two runs, nice and clean. Makes for a faster cut!Con: You really can't flip this over and use it to clean the hairline on the neck, above the ears, and sideburns because, at least according to my boy, it pinches the skin and feels like it's cutting him. You have to use it in the usual direction, but that's okay because it still gives a clean line.Last note: I know prices are always changing, so I don't know what they'll be when you read this. But when i price shopped for this specific unit online, I narrowed it down to quick availability from Amazon and WM. When I mentioned "great price" in the header, it's because when I bought this in late July 2024, it was almost $50 cheaper here than on Amazon. If this helped you, give it a thumbs up. Have a great day!

I bought these because I often travel to places where barbers that cut black hair is rare. I gotta stay fresh, regardless. For the price and performance, it gets no better. I recommend these clippers for EVERYTHING except edging and balding. These and a good detailer are all you'll need. I've had mine for about 3 years now. Built tough.

I just recently got the Wahl cordless magic clip from Sally Beauty because I wanted something that would last to start cutting my own hair and bought the CoolCare with it as they recommended it to keep the clipper oiled and rust free, plus it’s in a spray so much easier and faster to apply than reguler clipper oil. It’s also a very big bottle so they said it should last a really long time.I only used the clipper once so far and It works great. The fact that its cordless is a big plus because you don’t have to manage the cord while using it. You can tell the coolcare really helps to clear any stuck hair and that the motor runs alot smoother after applying(can also be used just to cool the clipper blade when it gets hot! )This morning I decided to try on my older ... MoreI just recently got the Wahl cordless magic clip from Sally Beauty because I wanted something that would last to start cutting my own hair and bought the CoolCare with it as they recommended it to keep the clipper oiled and rust free, plus it’s in a spray so much easier and faster to apply than reguler clipper oil. The motor runs alot smoother(not as noisy). I also noticed that where I had to pass multiple times before with the beard trimmer, it was alot less after applying the coolcare.
They seems fine. I am no barber. I cut my own hair pretty good and these felt fine. I cannot give a barber's review. the styles they have have perform is far beyong the quick cut I perform for myself. the back line off of the neck went smooth. little trims here and there were very easy. What I can shout about was how fast this product arrived. i did not expect it today. my neighbor called me to tell me of the package on my porch. I was not even looking for it anytime soon. It's expoditious arrival was impressive.
I have had a fantastic experience with the purchased machine! I would definitely recommend this machine to others. It has brilliant power and the battery lasts for ages.
Amazing same clippers same as ones I had
Have searched for a reliable hair clipper for years without much success until I popped into a couple local barbers to see what they were using. They all had these Magic clippers and informed the same that they were the best, lightweight, excellent cut and practical. Had them now for a couple of years, they give a clean cut without pulling, the kind of cut that you can place your palm over and the hair just sticks up and gives a nice feel to it. Have tried to buy another one but as Wahl will know they have not been ins stock for over a year. Did purchase the Legend but it was not as nice in the hand so returned it and saw that these were back in stock. Would like to get hold of the anniversary model when it becomes available, looks like these have passed me buy for ... MoreHave searched for a reliable hair clipper for years without much success until I popped into a couple local barbers to see what they were using. HIghly recomend the Magic, it has been restyled and has a beautiful finish to the paint. Highly recommend.
Brought this pair to replace my existing (exact same) pair which died after about 3 years. This pair seem ridiculously loud compared to my last pair and every other pair of wahl’s I’ve used over the last 20 years while barbering. And to be honest I don’t think they cut as good as the last set did I would question if they were fakes but as I brought them direct from Wahl they can’t be so think it’s time I try a different brand maybe andis or babyliss from now on.
I rate this listing badly not for the clippers themselves. As near as I can tell they are in perfect working condition, I have not used them. I rate this listing badly because they are very clearly used, there is hair on them and in the very beat up box. I find this very upsetting as I had no idea from the listing that these were returns or pre owned in any way. I’m not super upset about them being used, I am very upset about not being told they were. They came with everything and the oil bottle is still sealed.
