I bought the Super Taper because I wanted a reliable, good quality clipper at a reasonable price. Very happy with the purchase, easy to use, it has a nice solid feel to it and it cuts the hair cleanly and effortlessly. If you want a clipper that continues to work and deliver good results every day then you cannot go wrong with this and I can see why its the worlds most popular Wahl clipper. The only negative is I would have liked some more clipper combs included, a No. 5 & 6 with those already supplied would be ideal.

Bought these to replace a clipper from a different maker. These are a far superior product and give a good result. The flex lead is extra long so that I am not restricted too much in respect of where I can use them. My previous clippers were rechargeable which was fine but the battery packed up after about 2 years so decided to go for one with a lead for the better service life (hopefully). These are quite heavy and chunky but that gives me no concern it just makes me feel that they are more robust and well made.

I have had my Sterling 4 clippers for over 10years, so I thought maybe I should buy a backup. I love the aesthetic of the super taper. But they are noticeably louder than the Sterling 4. Also, the plastic covering feels clunky and ... cheaper. For the price, they do a fine job. But it didn't feel like an upgrade at all.
After 15 years of use, I dropped my old trimmer on a hard surface. So careless. Having purchased the new one, this is my opinion:Just as efficient and always guaranteed to give a great cut.The old one was made in the USA, this one in Hungary I believe. The only difference seems to be a slight reduction in quality of the plastic casing. It feels less substantial. Hence only 4 stars.The motor, blades and performance are as good as ever. I sincerely hope, barring carelessness, that this one will last as long, if not longer..
You can't go wrong with these, whether you're a pro or a home cutter. These are like the Technics 1210 vinyl players, you'll never need another one because they are the industry standard across the planet. The clippers are well designed and built, the weight is just right and they're not loud when in operation. I payed around 45 for mine (brand new boxed accessories etc) they're worth twice that easily. Fantastic tool and a must have.
This is literally my first hair clipper and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The quality is amazing. The hair cutting experience is a 10/10. I got this for self-use and it’s very good. You don’t feel the need for the cordless version to be honest. A 10 out of 10 from me! If you need a hair trimmer and you don’t want to spend over 100£, then this is the one you should go for.
Only had one other pair of hair clippers and they were excellent, lasting nearly 17 years and used twiced weekly. Those clipprs were by Babyliss bought in a boot's chemist shop for jut £25. Having used the new Wahl Supertaper clippers they have the look and feel of quality. The don't have the cutting range that my Babyliss pair had but they do give a close even cut and are fine for me. My old clippers would take me down to skin and bone with the shorteset cut and is why I didn't used that setting. I would have liked a decent case to keep the clippers and accesories in safekeeping, in fact they came with no kind of case which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately I do not like the product. It doesn't do its job properly. I tried it using it twice, the blade is not sharp. I will have to buy something else that is fit for purpose.Overall, product is poor.
I bought a set of Wahl super taper clippers direct from Wahl uk to replace my old ones that are over 30 year's old!I was really pleased to see that they are still being made to the same high Standard/ quality as the old ones and yes they work perfectly.A lot of companies these days are cutting corners and selling cheap versions of their product ( at the same price ) to maximse profit. I'm glad to see that Wahl has NOT followed suit. Highly recomended.
