Have had this just over two weeks now.Aesthetically looks great, and does a great job of soaking up the sweat, wipes down easily after use.It comes rolled and wrapped, so did take just over a week to fully lay flat once opened. May be a bit bulky if you wanted to roll it up after each use.It does dent fairly easily from cleats or turbo trainer feet, but these do return to shape after a few days.Yes it is slightly pricier than other brands, but it is also one of the biggest available. So provides a nice large footprint under your bike.If your sole focus is just protecting your floor then go for a solid rubber matt. But as a protector/sweat catcher this does exactly what's required.Overall a solid product, that would suit the home user with a dedicated space to ... MoreHave had this just over two weeks now.Aesthetically looks great, and does a great job of soaking up the sweat, wipes down easily after use.It comes rolled and wrapped, so did take just over a week to fully lay flat once opened. Th me best sweat mat I’ve ever owned I gave one to my brother and bought it again! If you’re cycling on a rug this will save you from ruining it. It’s the perfect size for a bike and trainer with plenty of room around for extra sweaty days. It covers and protects any floor tbh plus it looks sleek and it is a super thick mat.

This mat was defiantly designed to be put in a spot where it stays there. Unfortunately I don’t have the space to leave my kickr set up all the time so I have to roll up my mat when I’m done and store it. This mat does not like to roll or unroll! Also when it gets walked on with SPD-SL It leaves deformations in the mat that seem to be semipermanent. So far I can tell everywhere I’ve stepped on the mat with my cycling shoes on. Prior to having the kickr mat I had an Amazon basics workout mat that I might be switching back to…The kickr mat does seem to protect the carpet from sweat, so it’s got that going for it. I can’t say it’s any louder or quiter with the kickr mat, compared to my other mat.

Smell of product was not fantastic and as I bought two it took a few days for it to dissipate. Coverage of the floor is great and does what it is supposed to do. Still has a curl to the end which was most tightly rolled in packaging 4 weeks since laying out. As a development piece could look at improving the smell which may well be related to materials used to make it. Ideally looking for more ‘natural’ environmentally friendly materials may help this. I like the product it does what it is supposed to and the size is appropriate.
Looks decent but quality is questionable. Put a hole in it with a shoe cleat fairly easily. Probably wouldn't buy again. Have other Wahoo products that are great such as the kickr core trainer so wouldn't be deterred from buying Wahoo again.
As the summer months approached, the sweat got heavier and my poor carpet began to smell. As an indoor bike fanatic (i actually prefer static bikes to cycling in London) so I do a lot of indoor sessions. However during lockdown the smell from my man cave got ever worse and it was time to buy a mat. Knowing that Wahoo is the best in the business, i bought this without reading any reviews and it came ever so swiftly from Sigma Sports. First impressions was that it was a generous size - it's designed for a bike and a kickr so longer than i really needed but no probs. Second, i put on my fizik shoes with road cleats and stepped onto the mat before climbing on my exercise bike. Second, i put on my fizik shoes with road cleats and stepped onto the mat before climbing on my exercise bike. Horror of horrors, the cleats left huge impressions on the thick rubber and i thought i had ruined the mat. However, the rubber springs back quickly and no marks are left. Phew! It's a brilliant piece of kit and if you're into the indoor scene then there is nothing better. Feels like it will last a lifetime and looks great. And as for the smell? Well that's gone and i simply wipe down the Wahoo mat, job done. Highly recommend it.
If you use a trainer indoors, whether it is a Wahoo trainer or not, wheel on or off, you need a floormat. While a yoga mat can do the job somewhat ok, the Wahoo Kickr Trainer Floormat is much better.First thing is the size of the mat. It is larger than a yoga mat and it will fit any size trainer and bike combination. This helps keep all sweat on the mat as apposed to getting all over you floor.Second, it reduces noise and vibration much better than a yoga mat. Being that it is slightly thicker and less pliable than a yoga mat, the Kickr Floormat absorbs sound and most vibrations. This is extremely useful if you are in an apartment or you need to keep noise at a minimal while training.Thirdly, the Kickr Floormat prevents slipping. If you are on a wood or tile floor one issue while training can be slipping, or movement with your bike and trainer. I have had this issue in the past. With the Kicker Floormat, there is no more slippage.Lastly, cleaning the Kickr Floormat is easy and simple. Just a simple wipe down and your done. You can also use normal household cleaning products if you need to.I recommend the Kickr Floormat to anyone using an indoor trainer.
I've ridden Inside Ride Rolkers for two years and recommend them highly but never really could focus on hill training because to get the watts up high enough you either had to pedal in the highest gear or nearly fall off because adding the magnetic resistance kept you from attaining the speed to remain upright without careful attention. I knew I needed a trainer but none of the ones I've tried were worth anything for training above 150-170 watts. I researched the wahoo and gave it a try. I'm thoroughly impressed. It can simulate a real road ride with intense hill training and 400 watts is very obtainable. Now it is still a rigid trainer with those limitations of no freedom of movement like rollers, but it destroys the legs as a trainer should with excellent ... MoreI've ridden Inside Ride Rolkers for two years and recommend them highly but never really could focus on hill training because to get the watts up high enough you either had to pedal in the highest gear or nearly fall off because adding the magnetic resistance kept you from attaining the speed to remain upright without careful attention. It can simulate a real road ride with intense hill training and 400 watts is very obtainable. Now it is still a rigid trainer with those limitations of no freedom of movement like rollers, but it destroys the legs as a trainer should with excellent resistance variability. It has so many settings that muscle confusion is a constant if that is what you want or it can provide static training. I've only used it for a week but it is my opinion that battling the cold to get a hill workout in will never be first on my agenda to do now that I have this tool. I will still use the rollers to work on technique but power training is with the Wahoo Kickr.
There is nothing magic about a plastic mat, however, the KICKR Trainer Floormat is the perfect tool for the job. It’s the perfect size to contain sweat and drink drips during training, and it’s light weight and durable. The floormat is the essential barrier to keep the floor under your training area clean; especially carpet.
Having looked at a number of reviews of various different turbo mats, I was persuaded to buy the more "premium" Wahoo mat. Unfortunately after the first use, the mat began to fall apart and tear. I was hoping the premium price tag would be reflected in the robustness of what initially felt like a solid product, but it tore up incredibly easily. I understand that with some hard use and sweat exposure the material could degrade over time, but it didn't hold up to its first week of use - very disappointing! It dampens down the sound of the turbo fairly well and prevents any movement of the turbo, but as a member of staff at Sigma admitted to, an off cut of carpet works just as well - so maybe I'll go down this route. In summary, definitely not worth the hype at the ... MoreHaving looked at a number of reviews of various different turbo mats, I was persuaded to buy the more "premium" Wahoo mat.
