BEST HEARING PROTECTION - I GIVE YOU MY WORD

Why I think its good, especially for shooting:1) Low profile which is nice when shooting rifles2)Tight fit, but not too tight at all. I have a big head and I did not feel uncomfortable after wearing it for 2 hours. Also, with other hearing protection, from cheap stuff to even other brands meant for shooters, sometimes when you turn your head, the cups unseal letting in noise.3) Awesome hearing protection. I have some cheap muffs and another decent brand of muffs and neither of them come close to the value and effectiveness of these. Again, when you bend your head they don't unseal. I usually wear double protection (muffs+foam plugs) but with these I didn't need to. For $12-$13 you just won't find anything as good for this priceHope this helps! I promise you won't be unsatisfied!

Basic, on the small side, but work well enough.

These are adjustable, they slide up and down about an inch on the thin metal forks that hold the muffs (see pics). Even at max extension they just barely fit me if I'm not wearing a hat, and I'm bald. For me they are sufficient for indoor / range use or short sessions outdoors. For extended use I'd want something a little bigger. They seemed uncomfortably tight and rigid at first but after wearing them a bit and getting them well and evenly seated on my ears they are comfortable enough -- I even wear them at my desk in the office to block out distractions to keep me focused. Not the greatest, but they are very affordable and get the job done -- these sufficed to protect my hearing at an indoor range with shooters on both sides of me so I'll keep them in my go bag. ... MoreThese are adjustable, they slide up and down about an inch on the thin metal forks that hold the muffs (see pics). Gun stores usually offer some form of rudimentary and cheap ear-pro in their stores. I would reccomend getting a pair of dedicated or electronic ear protectors before you send over $20 on something that not only barely reduces noise but is also bulky and awkward - it did not fit over my small baseball cap as a lot of other better-fitting earphones do.

These are well enough made for the price. But they are extremely stiff and fit uncomfortably and tight on the head. The ear opening and the ear pads seem to small for all but maybe children, leaving the tops and bottoms of the ear pinched or folded over. In fact I had to go back and make sure I didn't accidentally buy youth ear pro. These are basically unusable even as backups. I have other Walker's and they are great, but also four times or the price

Good for pistol and smaller cal long guns

I bought this for range use as a backup pair and it worked very well for Pistols and smaller caliber long guns. Id recommend better protection when using shotguns and hogh power rifles but still did the job. Id just recommend better protection for long term use.

Great outdoor, very good indoors

I've had muffs that reduced noise a little more than these do, but that's because of profile of these Walkers. The comb height of any rifle doesn't matter with these. The thinness of the lower half allows you to bring the stock in nice and tight without lifting the ear muffs off your ear. If you're at an indoor range with a .30-06, .308, or 6.5 CM, and it's still too loud, put a pair of foam earplugs under them, all will be perfectly quiet then. Well worth the price. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my concealed carry class, and although the website rated it at NRR 31 (28-31 recommended for gun ranges), the packaging actually showed two ratings in the bottom rear corners: 22 (real ear) and 31 (physical, OSHA adjusted). Despite my concerns that the rating would be too small for the range, the other reviews stated it worked well. Therefore I stuck with it, and I would agree that it did its job in the gun range. I could still hear the instructor while the sounds of gunshots were muffled enough to not hurt my ears. It did take some getting used to on the adjustment side, and where the wire meets the plastic on the muffs does look rather weak, however it was a good buy for a newbie such as myself. Not good enough
19 August 2021

The price was right, but I have had two problems with these sound muffs. First, the ad may say it is a 31 dB sound reduction, but I did not find that true. When mowing my lawn, there was some reduction in sound from the mower, but just not enough. I kept trying to press the muffs tighter against my ears to get more sound reduction. Secondly, the muffs are held onto the headband by spring action that is very tight. When removed, the muffs would fold up and snap tightly closed inside the headband and I had to pry them out, bend them down and fit them to my ears. Quite annoying. I returned them for a more effective product.

Just received these muffs and thought the wrong set was sent to me. Cabela's lists these muffs as canceling 31 decibels. The package these muffs came in clearly says they cancel 22 decibels of noise. Quite a difference Cabela's. You dropped the ball on this order. I would have never ordered these muffs if I had know this. There was also no return shipping or receipt info in the box. Got to do better then this Cabela's if you want my continued business. There are so many other outdoor shops out there that value their customers.

I got these to hopefully failproof my earplugs that I got recently to combat my neighbors fan war tactics. The earplugs were too big for my ears so they'd eventually pop out especially during sleep and I'd even end up losing one until I'd make my bed.I was able to find noise cancelling earmuffs and settled for this pair because of the price. They arrived about a day early and came well packaged. I tried them on and could still hear some noise but WITH my earplugs in - these muffs are just right for surviving fan wars and I look forward to using them together for future loud parties under my bed at 3 am, as well. The muffs are snug but that's totally what you want, trust me. They survived my tossing and turning in bed but I did have to try not to sleep on my sides because it can become uncomfortable to your ears with pressure over time.Plus, if I ever go target shooting, I will be prepared! For now, they have a spot reserved on my lamp by my bed just waiting for the opportunity to be used again.
