Purchased this paint Monday night. Painted first coat Tuesday to cover treated pine decking previously pained with mission brown Walpamur Fence Paint. Looked a bit patchy so pained second coat on Wednesday. Looked ok and appeared dry and fine to walk on. Last night it rained and the paint has now mixed with the standing water WHY! The paint was dry cannot understand why mixed with standing water. NOT happy Jan. Can only assume defective batch. See images dry first coat, standing water and mixed water and paint

Bought this to stain an old bench, and chose it as it was cheapest. The first coat was swallowed up by the super dry wood. The second coat really came through nicely. Make sure you mix well. A little goes a long way!

Do yourself a big favour and steer clear of this fence Finish. The word "finish" could not be farther from the truth. I purchased 6x1 pine from Bunnings for my front fence and also this paint to finish the job. Well the 6x1 was 5 star quality, but this paint fails on all fronts. Firstly it requires at least 4 coats to make an impression, and secondly, because it is so thin, the pine soaks it up like a sponge, requiring twice the amount of paint for the job. The good news is, Nick from my Bunnings store allowed me to exchange it for a better quality paint. Full credit goes to Bunnings for this. Another store would have told me to go jump. Now I can come back and by a ship load of paint for my eaves and roof. Well done Nick. Unfortunately I can only give one star as I ... MoreDo yourself a big favour and steer clear of this fence Finish. The word "finish" could not be farther from the truth. I used this to paint my boundary fence with a paint gun coverage was good added 10% water to each 2lt pot helps thinning with spaying. Definitely needed two coats for full coverage. Otherwise good product would recommend.
I have used a fence stain before with average results. Thought I would try this product on new house fence and it is great. I used one coat only and covered approx 15 metres of fence. What I liked was that it provided excellent coverage yet, I could still see the woodngrain through. Maybe a 2nd coat would cover that but it's not what I wanted anyway. Still got another 10 metres to go, so will be getting another tub.
We painted our fence a couple of months ago and used this paint. The colour is great and it went on easily. I did not have any problems with the lid as some other reviews have mentioned. As there are gaps between the fence palings we chose not to spray and used brushes instead. One coat has done the trick.
Quality fence paint. I used 54L to spray paint my boundary fences (450m2 block, side & back fences). I prepped with a pressure washer a couple days prior. The paint went on really easily, and I only did one coat. Has a nice thickness and I didn’t need to dilute it for the sprayer. The lids are a pain to get off. But the paint itself is good quality and the charcoal colour is lovely.
I bought Jarrah color (not sure other colors' quality), this paint is very thin, in comparison to other brand fence paint I ever used , its not good for refurnishing old timber due to poor coverage, after painting with it 2 layers still not much difference --looks not been painted. in the end we decided to use some black Taubman all weather paint on hand , to paint it all over again, that paint is 3 times thicker than this Walpamur paint , we have to dilute it with water to work with . and one coverrage is enough to bring to shine.
I bought 10 litres of this stuff, jarrah colour. Absolute garbage! Coverage was as you expect from fence paint, but after 3 coats, next to no colour at all! Fence was previously painted so timber in aged but reasonable condition. This rubbish soaked in and disappeared! 2nd and 3rd coats: next to no improvement. Total waste of money and 3 to 4 hours work, including prepping the fence. Wouldn’t use this crap ever again! You all have been warned! Try peeing on your fence instead: you would get a better result!
I thoroughly mixed the tin with a drill paint stirrer, then applied this to my paling fence with a Wagner 690 sprayer, and it went on with very little obvious colour pigment, as if they've thinned it out too much with a moderately thick transparent liquid. After coating one fence section, the paint colour was barely noticable, while the paint is visibly running down the palings, and pooling on the railings.I will be returning the unused 9.7L to Bunnings.I expect a full refund, as this paint is simply not fit for purpose.Lesson learnt - you get what you pay for. I'll stick with the more expensive Dulux Weathershieild from now on.
