Because WD40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits. WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements. WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts. WD-40 gets under grease, grime, and gunk. WD-40 non-aerosol formulas also dissolve adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape, stickers, and excess bonding material. WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and hold firmly to all moving parts.

Where was this can my whole life? The most annoying thing was going to use my can of WD40 and finding that I lost the straw, But the smart straw stays attached! I never have to worry about losing my straw again! This can of wd 40 has 2 features, the straw stays attached and is a bit longer, and reaches a good amount of space. Or when the straw is in the down position you can push down on the top and it sprays if you need it for a larger surface. I was able to stop my chair and patio door from squeaking with ease. I know the next time I need to grab the straw will be there. WD40 once again proved what a great brand they are, always giving us reliable, great quality products.

I love WD-40 and use it a lot around the home. I'm also a production weaver and use WD-40 as part of my regular loom maintenance. Think pulleys and metal on metal parts, things that need to hinge or slide, preferably without any friction to cause wear or annoying noise. The product works great. However, my one complaint in the past has been that I always need the precise stream application, and I'm forever losing the straw. Sometimes losing the straw down in the loom as I try to pinpoint application. Argh! This Smart Straw with integrated straw affixed to the can ensures that I always have the precision application stream on hand, and I never lose the straw as I try to get the perfect angle in my machines. That's brilliant product engineering and a great value.

WD-40, one of the greatest products ever. Just last night I used on our squeaky door that leads to the garage. (I know using it on the hinges may cause dirt to build up, but it still works for me!) Having the straw built onto the nozzle is also fabulous--it's difficult to lose it and it gets in most super tight spots. I remember the old days when the straw came taped to the can....it was good for using the first few times, and then at some point the straw would inevitably disappear. This can also allows you the option to use it without the straw for larger areas. It does a fantastic job of cleaning up some rusty spots on older tools. For me, this is one of those "basics" you need around the house to help you out when you need it.

I'm a ground maintenance worker at my local state park, and this trusted shop standby has a new use - preventing camper's fees from ending up in the wrong hands. Let me explain. We have a camping fee drop box that is pillaged at night, mainly from non-campers stealing camper's fee envelopes. What they usually do is that they take a wired coat hanger, place some adhesive on one end, and fish the envelopes from the slot. Coming from a tech background, I know that the WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a really effective dissolver of adhesives. To this product's success, it has successfully dissolved wet patch roofing adhesive to CatchMaster Bulk, the very same or similar glue substance used on many rodent glue traps. It even leaves no residue behind so that no envelopes are ... MoreI'm a ground maintenance worker at my local state park, and this trusted shop standby has a new use - preventing camper's fees from ending up in the wrong hands. It even leaves no residue behind so that no envelopes are easily rippable. If there was one question I'd ask, that would be "What happened to the non-aerosol-based WD-40 Multi-Use Product Trigger Pro?" It had a very nice spray area as far as I've read, and I'm wondering if it will make a comeback. With this product being over 50 years old, it continues to astound me. My grandfather and father used and introduced me to it, and I'm a fan of this humble spray can. Thanks!
We use WD-40 on everything, so I was super excited to see the attached straw. (We've lost countless straws over the years). I love the idea of the straw, but there are definitely a couple flaws. 1- after using the straw to spray something, there is almost always extra WD-40 in the straw... which means when you close it, the product in the straw drips or flings everywhere. 2- there is no using just a little WD-40 when using this product- it's either all, or nothing, depending upon how much pressure you put on the spray button. Overall, I really do love this product and will definitely be buying WD-40 with the smart straw again. Knowing its issues, I can prepare myself for next time (just keep a paper towel handy). WD-40 with smart straw is easy to apply either sprays or stream to the rusted parts. It is also effective in removing the rusted residues and keeps it from rusted again. Other than usual used on rusted area, I also found out I can use it on some other things. The battery holder of my kid car's remote control got rusted and I sprayed WD-40, left it for 5 minutes and wiped it completely, let it dry for a day, and the control worked again. I was very surprised. I highly recommend this.
WD-40 in my opinion has long been the go to product for squeaking hinges, hard to loosen bolts, and much more. It's a handyman's best friend and a product that everyone should keep in their house. This "spray 2 ways" bottle even allows for more options with the traditional spray method, or you can remove it to allow a wider spray for more coverage. Whether the area you need to spray is precise like a single hinge on a door, or you're trying to cover a larger area like when refurbishing an old engine, this bottle of magic will make your life easier. You can also use this for preventative maintenance on machine parts that you want to keep working smoothly or outdoor objects that battle the elements and tend to rust or stick. I’ve been very excited to try the WD40 Smart Straw. Our doors in our house have been squeaky for too long. The product was extremely easy to use. No instruction manual needed however, there are some instructions on the can if needed. The can has two dispensing options – a straw (stream) and a wide spray. The straw (stream) is a great addition to get into those tight spots and doesn’t make a mess either. The wide spray is nice to cover a larger area. The product as a whole works really well and the dispensing options are great. No strong smell either, which is nice for my sensitive nose. This will be a great product to always have around the house when needed. I would recommend this product to anyone!
I'll preface this by saying I haven't purchased WD-40 in years and found the Smart Straw is the absolutely best upgrade. No more losing the straw for precision application times! I was wary but found the straw was super easy to lift up and lock into place and easily flips down for storage and out of the way for broad spraying times. The large spray button is easy to press, even with gloves on. Living by the coast, rust is a way of life. I'm a home gardener and WD-40 is invaluable to maintaining my pruning shears, shovels, hand tools and for keeping stacked planters from sticking together. Around the house, WD-40 removes stains from stainless items as well as marks on tile. So many uses and my sturdy can will always have the straw.
This product worked so quickly. My door lock was getting hard to turn and I was afraid my key was going to bend or snap in half. A quick squirt into the lock took care of the problem and I can turn with ease now. I also like that it was mess free. Its nice that the instructions are on the can so I can always reread as needed. But it is so easy to use that instructions are really only needed for the first time user. I will be using it in the future for tools and other items both in the garage and in the house. The can is a generously large, so a can will last me a long time, but I will buy another can when I use this one up. Nothing else works like this product to my knowledge.
