Description Weber BBQ Briquettes are designed to burn long, hot and consistently. Weber BBQ Briquettes have been shaped to light faster than other char briquettes, without compromising burn time. Because of their shape and grooved surfaces, Weber BBQ Briquettes are ready to use in approximately 25 to 30 minutes (approximately 40% faster than other brands). Weber BBQ Briquettes are brilliant for indirect cooking like roasting and baking. As their performance is so consistent, they’re also the perfect fuel for long, low and slow smoking. And, because they light up so quickly, they’re also suitable for direct cooking (grilling).

Have bought about 3 -4 bags previously to this and the quality has been excellent have been easy to start in previous times . Go open up a new bag to do a low and slow trying to light a small amount and they are just crap they are all crumbly they don't want to burn they just cracked and fall apart when trying to light weber has lost its quality and quality control as there product standard has drop big time very sad to see when u are such a iconic brand

Really poor. Used the chimney and 8-9 fire lighters to try and get these lit. Nothing caught. They self exstinquished shortly after the fire lighters were used up. Think you need to get the hair dryer or blower on them as well. As these would not catch alight. We tried twice on the same coals with no results

Really like these Briquettes. They keep their heat and are more efficient as you dont need to use as many. I tried many others but always go back to Weber's.

I bought my Weber briquettes from Coles(Bracken Ridge). I used them 2 days after purchase in my Weber Jumbo Joe, these were the worst Briquettes (Charcoal) that I have ever used. I used and entire box of firelighters, and had to heat new briquettes 4 times. After 4 hours of disappointment due to lack of heat and constant crumbling, I eventually finished all my food off in the oven.
These are great! They take a bit to get going, but once they do they burn long and hot.I've had a lot of success doing low and slow briskets and pulled pork, a myriad of roasts both conventional style and on the spit, have grilled burgers over them and have even baked beer bread with them. Have tried other brands but nothing else compares.
Always used heat beads because they were always $3 cheaper and once I tried these weber briquettes I will never go back to heat beads. These weber ones reach a higher temp and last way longer than other brands. Perfect for indirect BBQ cooking and I'm pretty sure they would be perfect for pizza cooking too. Plus the taste of the meat comes out AMAZING!!
Wife bought me a bag of these thinking they were charcoal. I was also thinking, yep - Webber should be good fuel. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The first clue should have been that they're not even labelled as charcoal - they're just a fuel pellets with undescribed contents. They take forever to light (even using a chimney starter) compared to proper charcoal and good grief, do they carry on! - constantly popping and spluttering, showering ash and embers into whatever is underneath. They do last a while but don't burn cleanly away (leaving lots of unburned briquette bits and gritty ash), nor do they have anywhere near the heat of good charcoal. Worst of all, they have zero flavor or charcoal character. Little to no fragrance and what does come off ... MoreWife bought me a bag of these thinking they were charcoal. Their barbecues are great, but this fuel is the total opposite. Bag went straight into the bin.
Don’t buy this stuff unless you’re planning to use a blow torch to light it. I ended up emptying my chimney and using some lump wood I had instead. May as well stick with heat beads.
After not being able to buy "heat Beads" due to out of stock, I purchased the Weber Brickettes 10kg bags 2 off around August '22. They worked great until part way through the second bag and then I couldn't light them. I was not happy! I tried several times but no go. I then put some lump charcoal into the base of the fire chimney with Brickettes on top. I figured that due to the huge amount of rain we had received, the Brickettes being kept next to my Weber BBQ's under the verandah, were subject to high levels of humidity and had absorbed moisture. I lit the Chimney with the lump charcoal in the base filled to the top with Bricketts and wha-la! hot coals again. This may also be the case where someone has had the Brickettes fall apart (due to Moisture). This may also be the case where someone has had the Brickettes fall apart (due to Moisture). I now keep my Brickettes in the warm (hot) shed on a shelf to keep the moisture at bay, as these are 100% natural Bricketts without binders. Other than this experience, my Weber Brickettes are just fine. I use wood chunks or chips to impart wood flavor to the meat. I've been BBQ'ing for 53 years and still learning new techniques. I have owned 10 different BBQ's, mainly Gas and Charcoal, 6 have been Webers, I still own and use regular 3 Charcoal Weber BBQ's. Trusting this may help someone to achieve the outstanding results that I have experienced with my Webers. Note: lump Charcoal alone gets very hot and I personally would not recommend using it as a sole heat source fuel, Brickettes are a better solution.
Just bought these from Mitre Ten thinking they would be great because they have the Weber brand. Boy was I wrong. These are absolute rubbish. I can't even get them started. Plus they stink.I will never buy them again and I will now think twice about buying any Weber product.
