A great entry level portable grill. Heat distribution is fine. It doesn't take a long time to assemble. Cleaning it isn't bad as it disassembles quickly. It has worked well for me since I bought it in 2018. The only 2 drawbacks are the ignition system and wind. I can light it with a long lighter... But above average wind will be a nuisance. If you are looking for an emergency backup for cooking.... I might opt for the Q1000. It is double the price, but is virtually wind proof.

Bought for a light weight grill for travel in SUV or truck. This was a replacement for one I had for many years and got left out in the rain and just got rusty and nasty. I expected a new one, same version to be the same. What I got was a different designed grill top. I preferred the older version with the tent over the flames, and just a normal chrome grill for food. What I got was NO tent, but a porcelain covered plate with a few slots in it, so food is not cooked as I like it. Shame on Weber. Don't fix what is not broken. I almost returned the grill, but found other companies still make the tent and chrome grill. Solution, throw away whatever was included, but old style grill and tent, and move on.

As long-time campers, we've owned many tabletop gas grills. At the beginning of a recent weeklong trip, we opened our 4 yr old grill to discover the metal grate was in pieces. In searching online for a replacement, I was delighted to find Weber offers a basic tabletop model. Ordered it from Amazon for delivery to the campground the next day, and we were back in business. This grill cost a little more than its competition, but its quality is far superior. It cooks hotter, is built sturdier, and will be far easier to clean and maintain. We have a Weber Genesis grill that is more than 20 years old and going strong. I'm delighted to finally have a camping grill that won't need to be replaced after only a few seasons.

Overall a good product. I guess you have been making this grill for maybe 40 years.2 complaimts-1. The broiler pan sitting right over the burner is really stupid. Meat & BBQ sauce stick to it like baked on enamel. Apparently you started doing this in about 2015, versus the flavorizer metal lid & the stainless steel grate, like what most gas grills have. I bougt DelBBQ grate & flavorizor bar, well made stainless steel products. They are so much easier to clean. I used olive oil & HD Aluminum on the broiler pan, to no avail. Mission Impossible to clean. To Cruise would have declined this assignment. The flame bloews out easily witha wind over 10mph. Also, with fatty meat, like ribs, that smoke a lot, the flame may go out from too much smoke; so, like some ... MoreOverall a good product. Also, with fatty meat, like ribs, that smoke a lot, the flame may go out from too much smoke; so, like some suggest, I leave it cracked, maybe 3/4" on one end.I also cover the bottom with HD alunium to catch the grease.I cooked a 6 lb slab of ribs that filled the grill. They smoked to perfection, took about 2 hours on Med.I also bought the adapter to hook up to a 20/30lb propane bottle, much more economical than the little bottles. This should be the #1 option that you promote.
I picked this little grill specifically for making my lunches at work on my 30 minute lunch break. When it comes to gas/charcoal grills it’s always Weber for me. This grill is perfect for a quick grilled meal I’ve cooked burgers, hotdogs, sausage, etc. with this and it gets plenty hot, very fast. 750deg. F. In 10 minutes! There’s plenty of room for 8 burger patties and numerous sausages/hot dogs. I haven’t experienced any flare up problems due to the grills surface design. Easy to clean and light weight to move around and store. I did also purchase the adapter hose to be able to use a regular 20lb. Propane cylinder because using the grill as much as I do the one pound propane cylinders would get a little pricey and the larger cylinder will last me over a year using ... MoreI picked this little grill specifically for making my lunches at work on my 30 minute lunch break. I kept the body of the new BBQ, Kept the internal gas channel of the new BBQ. Swapped back to the old regulator, swapped back to the old ignitor (The new one didn't work well - then didn't work.) I swapped the internal grill and diffuser. I kept the new grill in case I do just veggies that are loose. Now I'm back in business. I like the wood handles - so I'm going to refinish them and swap them out as well. But hey, I got a new grill body. My old one was very used. I use this ALL the time camping and LOVE how compact it is. I just like the features of the old one better - and now I have it. I'm a simple person, I like simple operations that work well.
This is my 3rd Go Anywhere and there is something wrong with this new one. There is no difference between the low and high settings. I’m considering keeping it bc all I do is steak, chicken and burgers so I don’t really need a big range but I would expect a working temperature gauge in a Weber grill. Bummer. Also as is common knowledge the new grate is terrible. You have to get an after market grate to not have burnt bits all over your food if you don’t scrub it clean after every use (what’s the point of grilling if you are scrubbing as dinner cleanup, gross).
Bought this grill expecting great performance as we've grown to expect from Weber. Unfortunately, out of the box our grill failed to light with the ignitor even though the ignitor spark was visible. After lighting with a fireplace lighter, the grill failed to stay lit more than five minutes. We contacted Weber and they very helpfully sent us a replacement regulator. Unfortunately, after the replacement part was in place, we had the same problem. Having spent more time on this than I wanted to, we cut our losses and returned it. Very disappointed.
I own 2 older models. As shown in the pictures the new grate style is much different from the original style. The new model also lacks the lower heat diffuser above the heating element, exposing it to whatever drips down. The original grate style is only offered in the charcoal version of this grill, which I will have to spend and additional $34 to make the conversion back to the original style. The lower heat diffuser is not offered by Weber. I can not use this as it is. It is not the same as my others.
Bought this on recommendation from a friend. It is perfect for us as a couple although the first time we used it it was for six of us and with careful staggering of cooking times we managed a splendid bbq. The grilling plate did require a good soak afterwards so in future I will spray it more liberally with plenty of oil to prevent sticking of food. We bought a cheap folding picnic table to sit it on and I placed a foil tray with sand underneath the grill but there was no dripping onto the table and the inside was easy to wipe out with kitchen roll and then a wet cloth. We think an extra leg clip would be helpful so that you can have one on each side and a minor quibble would be the angle of the gas canister makes it awkward to screw on but perhaps we will get the ... MoreBought this on recommendation from a friend.
