We were looking for an alternative to a big BBQ as we are now only 2. The second priority was to go electric and dispense with the nuisance of the gas bottle emptying mid cook. We already owned a Baby Q for camping which we are very pleased with. The pulse seemed to be a good option. Like the Baby Q it has to be preheated - but the Bluetooth sends a message to our phone when it is ready. At my age I considered this a gimmick but the Bluetooth it is actually useful! (We can also see how the meat is cooking using the probes without opening the BBQ). Heat control is easier than with gas and cooking is easy. We already had a roasting trivet and purchased the flat hotplate as an extra. I prefer to cook without the flat hotplate because we get a better result. The plate ... The disadvantage it that it takes up a lot of the cooking area.We also like the fact that it is easy to clean and we can put the flat hotplate in the dishwasher. And we can use SS cooking tools.Overall it is a very good unit for a couple of us. We are glad we didn't choose the smaller 1000 as we can cook on the 2000 for visitors. I am not sure that it is the right choice for a big family but it is very good for couples who entertain a few friends. As its electric so it is good for the environment. Lunchtime it is running off of our solar panels. We are very pleased with our choice.

I purchased this grill when it first came out a few years ago. We live in a condo and had to switch over to electric. I have only used gas and charcoal grills in the past and very was skeptical of an electric grill. I have used the grill now hundreds of times and this grill is amazing. It is hands down the best grill I have ever owned. Period... I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I love the probes and the included app for my phone..I have never had a problem tripping breakers and it heats up very fast for me. The grill gets very hot (600 degrees) and I have never had a problem searing anything. One of the worries I had was cooking large roasts and the electric burner not being able to keep up with the heat demand. I have cooked several large roasts and have ... The juices from the meat you are cooking fall onto the electric burner and turn to smoke. The flavors are amazing...Bottom line, this is the third Weber grill that I have owned (one gas, one charcoal, and now one electric). This is by far my favorite!!! The heat is so controllable that I never burn anything anymore. I cook about twice a week with the grill, everything from fish, to burgers, to steaks, to large roasts... Love this grill!!!

I wanted to love this grill so much. Every time it failed me I tried a new meat or recipe. You can't make a smash burger, it does not get high enough heat. My chicken wings today got an eror4 and shut off, those are in the garbage now. I have had this for four months and tried so many times and it is not good. What a waste of money. I have anxiety how much I spent on this hunk of junk. I'm waiting for my takeout as we speak because my expensive farmers market meat is ruined from the grill just turning off. This was my last straw. It never keeps heat, this was a mistake and I want my money back

I have had a Weber charcoal BBQ for a long time but when visiting friends I realised that their gas version was so much quicker, easier to use and just less faff. However as we have recently carried out an eco refurbishment of our house, and have gone to 'all electric' I looked into the Weber electric BBQs which could run on the excess electricity from our solar panels. Although I was initially guided towards their new Lumin range, it just didn't feel as substantial as the Weber Spirit and Genesis gas grills. I then looked at the Pulse which is much heavier and very well made with the only downside being the cost but having used it now for a couple off weeks, I am glad that I paid that premium.I went on one of the Weber Grill Academy courses - if you have never ... It was a thoroughly enjoyable 4 hours, working together under the guidance of an experiences chef to create a full 3 course meal (including pizza, two roasts, pudding and all the trimmings), using a mixture of gas and charcoal grills (unfortunately they don't yet have electric grills to try but the experience and functions of the gas versions are almost the same).Weber do a slightly cheaper Pulse 1000 but this has only one cooking zone - once you have been on an Academy Grill course, only the two zone Pulse 2000 will do so that you can fully experience the direct and indirect cooking methods! If you want fresh homemade pizza, also buy the pizza stone - cooks fantastic pizzas in about 5 minutes - what's not to like?
The Pulse 2000 grill is great! It does everything that my Weber Genesis grills did. It creates same savory flavor, but better control, easier to use (no propane tanks running out at the wrong time). It heats up quickly and independent of the chef, so I can spend more time with family. Its accurate digital temperature setting is particularly helpful over traditional grills. I like that I can monitor it from my iPhone. For a couple, a smaller family, get togethers with friends it can’t be beat. It will easily cook enough for me and my children and grandkids. When a more smoky flavor is needed a wood chip smoke box accessory can provide that flavor. My only negative is the grill doesn’t “snap in” or lock into the cart, so in order for you to wheel it back to the garage ... MoreThe Pulse 2000 grill is great! I plan on purchasing a couple of long black zip ties to fix the issue, but Weber should have caught that during their design?
I wanted to love it, this is an expensive electric grill. The only grill I can have at our apartment. It does not hold heat. I can not make smash burgers, I can’t make much. It only works in the summer when it’s 90 degrees out. If you need to keep it open - not a chance. It’s been four months and I hate it. It gives me anxiety with how much money it is. Today we got an error 4 notice. I use this expensive grill to meal prep chicken once a week. Don’t waste your money. It won’t keep the heat and you can’t get the grill and flavors you want.
I love my grill. Obviously does not give the same results as gas but it works as an adequate replacement for my NYC patio where only electric is permitted. I love that it syncs with an app so I can chill while the temp sets. I’ve also figured out how to get a sear - I just blast it to 500F and leave the meat in there for a few mins before reducing the temp. I even managed to grill amazing tandoori chicken last weekend. So far so good with this barbi! Waited several weeks for the cover to come back in stock so I can finally leave it out all the time now. I recognize some of the issues which others have pointed out - the control panel doesn’t snap in, it sometimes doesn’t give a good sear and the controls should have just been digital, but I can live w these minor ... Owned one of these for nearly 3 years now and couldn’t be happier. We had two outdoor powerpoints already installed but I suppose you could run a lead through a window and plug in.Controls are very accurate and produce evenly cooked food. I also slow cook ribs for a few hours with a water dish on the grill as well to maintain moisture. A stainless steel rib holder from Amazon allows you to cook three sets of ribs at once. The reason for not giving five stars is that cleaning can be a bit tedious especially if you are like me and leave it for a while!
In the move from gas/carbon energy sources to electric, the Pulse 2000 should not be missed. It is an outstanding barbecue and even better if one uses the iGrill features and its four temperature probes. These probes are linked by Bluetooth to an iGrill APP on one's phone...and remain linked providing constant temperature of the meat cooking. One can then easily achieve perfect grilling technique for rare, medium and well done steaks. The Pulse 2000 was bought because there was 6.5kW of solar power on the roof, and effective use of this 2400w barbecue was a no-brainer!
I was reluctant at first to purchase an electric grill, however, once this little beast pre-heats there's nothing it can't cook! I get amazing grill lines on beef, chicken and fish. The accompanying app also takes all the guesswork out of cooking new things as well. Highly recommend if you're in the market for one of these. Super simple setup and cleaning too. It's lived outside in the coastal Carolina humid weather and covered when not in use and so far no signs of any rusting or staining from the environment. Highly recommend the easy use of this product. Only thing left to figure out is how I can get it connected to my google/alexa smart home and then we'll really be in business!
