These work really well for indirect, I mucked about with thick aluminum foil but doesn't do the job as well. With it you get the legendary Webber air flow without the higher heat. Perfect for roasts.

I have been using these trays since I bought my weber baby Q. They are absolutely brilliant for roasting all types of meat even sausages which can also be placed on the rack above tray. Every thing comes out perfectly cooked with no mess to clean up at end of cooking. Only the rack needs a quick clean in soapy water.
These convection trays are great. I used to just use a piece of aluminium foil double folded underneath the trivet. That worked OK but the first time I tried the convection trays the results were much better. Heat circulated much more freely through the vents and indirect cooking was more even and consistent.
Do you need something to protect the bottom of meat if you’re roasting in the Weber Q for an extended time. You CAN use a double layer of our foil and cut some slots to let any fat drip away but the convection tray from Webber does a better job and makes the setup very convenient – can’t go wrong. You could even reuse them a few times if you’re careful
I purchased these trays a couple of months ago, they were damaged in the box when I received them and took a little bit of straightening for them to be useful. They are extremely delicate and I am not sure I would buy them again. On the positive side it makes washing up a lot easier
Obviously spreads the heat evenly to produce a beautifully cooked roast. Have now done three pork roasts with great results and crackling to die for.
Much better value for money when you receive a free $10 BCF voucher! End result, $4 for 10 trays but I still have a steel oven tray (drilled out) for back up.
Very expensive for what they are. One use and almost impossible to use again. A cheaper metal reusable tray should be available for less than $20.
