Great product, the only issue is that the clamps cannot handle more weight than the standard weight for each dumbbell. Even though this is only with exercises like hammer curls or overhead tricep extentions. You'd have to buy stronger clamps to support the extra weight.

Purchased 2 of them and being a regular gym goer, I loved the feel of it the very first time. Well designed good looking pair of dumbells with a burly shafts. The hooks too seem perfect and can be relied upon though some people might be doubting its strength based on its appearance. Overall a perfect pair for home workout and definitely a class above the rest in the market and hence worth every penny

The disc collars are loose and slip VERY easily. It's extremely dangerous for any form of overhead/vertical movements as they're practically going to drop out and have the potential to cause some serious injury. On my first day of use, I was doing tricep extensions and the collars completely slipped off. I could have gotten hurt and the weights damaged the floor. Also, even if you're doing horizontal movements or what not, the collar will get loose and the plates will start to shift. This can also cause potential injury for your wrists. The fact that it can only support a maximum vertical load of 6kg is pretty ridiculous, furthermore the disclaimer isn't even on the main product page, it's hidden in some sub tab. I have been using this dumbbell for a long time now, enjoying my workouts with it and getting fit. You will grow muscle, but don't expect to get like Schwarzenegger. On the bad side, the clips have released open twice, making the weights fall and doing an ugly injury in one of my toes recently. So check them every time that you are going to use your dumbbell and NEVER put it in vertical position.I had the previous version of this product. The clips were so much better and never got open. I don't understand why they decided to change them.I would recommend this product making the customer aware of its flaws
Great set of weights, but please beware when buying this to use with the Rack 900. This set of weights comes with the 175cm version of the barbell and the position of the weight-plate-stops built into the bar leaves VERY little room between the inner-most weight plate and the rack 900 stantions. Placing the bar back onto the rack after a set of benchpress it tricky to aim. To help with this situation, i used one set of the supplied collars to space the weight plates further out on the bar, but this was a pain because you only get three sets of collars and so I was constantly having to swap the collars from the barbell end of the barbell to a dumbbell when i moved between exercises. It also reduces the number of weight plates you can fit onto the bar. I have just ... MoreGreat set of weights, but please beware when buying this to use with the Rack 900. I got 2 20 kg sets with some extra 5s. I like the feel of the bar. It’s solid. They even sell plates that make a 20-25 kg dumbell possible.BUT...the clips are terrible and the limit of 6 kg vertical is a MAJOR flaw. Hammer curls are thus out of the question. No triceps extensions. Oh, and when I try to do butterflies with 20 kg (not vertical), the clips keep popping off. I’m disappointed with the clips. I hope to find better clips elsewhere but the 28 mm size is so odd that I don’t think it’s possible. If you want dumbells for the granny, these are perfect. Also: What am I supposed to do with so many 1 kg discs? Toss them like frisbees?
Just received two sets, and as a stand alone barbell they are nice, hence five stars. My only disappointment is, I purchased the set for the weights, not necessarily a barbell. My assumption is, they are based on kg, hence standard one inch weights will not fit on the bars, and are slightly loose on a one inch bar. I also can't place a spring clip on the bars to add strength to the supplied snap-on collars. As to, would I buy these again, the answer is no.I also paid $25.00 for each barbell, which is reasonable, but when making my review they appear to have increased in price to $44.00. As already stated, they are reasonably priced at $25.00, but not even remotely worth $44..00.
I have the older set with the spring clips. Been very pleased with them especially in the current pandemic. However, I have noticed that the chrome plating (layered directly on the steel) is peeling off and leaving shards on my exercise mat. I found out because a piece cut through the skin on my hand so now I have to keep cleaning the mat down and looking out for shiny bits of sharp chrome plating. Also a chunk came off one of the springs. It would be better to leave off the chrome plating altogether to prevent this happening as it its only a cosmetic function.
Bought 2 sets of it. There are a number of issues with the product. 1) what is the point of giving a collar which can handle only 6kgs on a dumbbell of 10kgs? i am always worried that the collar will slip and a serious injury can happen. 2) the collar is poor quality - it is not able to attach correctly due to which the discs rotate when doing simple bicep curls....it is really irritating as it causes a wobbly motion. Overall not happy with the buy.have been a frequent customer of Decathlon, and haven't complained in the past, but this one time i would say this product deserves it.
Would suggest people to get this kit only if they plan on working out from home on a long term. I personally have no plans to return back to the gym till the pandemic stops and that offcourse is going to take some time. The quality of the product is top notch. The power coated cast iron plates look and feel expensive. The rods are heavy and flawless. Trust me, Your flesh and metal sessions are going to rock.
