Excellent choice for my elderly toothless cat

After receiving a few sample packets of this pate for felines, I am sold. My elderly cat has very few teeth and consuming her previous dry food became impossible without soaking it in broth. She has previously not been a fan of soft food. This grain-free pate contains the essential taurine, which my vet explains is often missing in grain-free pet foods.

He was still eating his dry food and cookies, leading me to start the arduous task of finding a new wet food to please my feline friend. For an hour, I walked around petsmart looking at each brand. Of the ones I chose, I bought 5 cans/10 pouches of each. Previous experience with this situation, I knew 5 days was enough for him to decide what he liked. It doesn't matter how hungry he is, he won't eat it. As a rule, after five tries, we move on to something else. He not only ate all of the tuna tiny tasters, but he ate all of in one sitting, prompting me to give him another one. Initially I thought he's just really hungry, but at the end of the five days of eating the tiny tasters, he's still eating all of it with no complaints.

Mealtime Magic

I was very lucky that in the beginning I found both a dry and wet food that Kitten found appeasing. Eventually the wet food brand was bought out by a major corporation and made changes that brought up quality concerns. This led to a once respectable brand having regular recalls on various pet foods, not this particular variation but I wasn't gonna take chances. So it was off to find a replacement. This was a challenge bc everything I tried for a few months faced two battles: she wouldn't eat it all (not even a bite to taste it) or the portion size was too much that she'd initially eat it when first opened but when I tried to use the remainder that had been refrigerated- she wouldn't touch it and I'd have to throw it out and open a new one. At times I had to resort to feeding her the very food I was trying to replace bc I feared she just wasn't eating very much. Finally I found "Tiny Tasters" and gave them a spin. She loved them immediately. She would eat the entire portion in one sitting and she didn't even do that with the other, she would eat about half and then come back later. After nearly six months now she still eats them mostly when I put it out, there's never been any waste. She specifically likes the "chicken and turkey" and the "duck" recipes. I give her three to four packets spaced tgrought the day, along with her dry food that remains available to her throughout the day. A few months ago it was hard to find any in stock and the two main places I bought it but luckily it's sold at enough retailers that I was able to find an alternative store to buy it locally. Since that short stock shortage, both stores have regularly had the food available again. Seriously without your food I'd literally be throwing away money or having to feed her something questionable. So thank you and hopefully it's something that you keep active for many years on.

Not a fan of the chicken & turkey recipe…
11 July 2021

When my cat transitioned from kitten food to adult food, I chose this brand because of the ingredients. I also love that it’s the perfect portion for a meal. He’s usually not too picky about his food and loved all of the flavors at first. I’m not sure if the recipe for the chicken and turkey has changed, but he absolutely will NOT eat this flavor anymore. I even tried mixing it 50/50 with one of the seafood flavors (which are his favorite) and he still turned away. It isn’t expired so I’m not sure if maybe this was a bad batch, or he just decided it wasn’t for him. The same thing happened with the duck flavor as well. I still give 3 stars because as I mentioned before, he LOVES the tuna, tuna and salmon, and chicken flavors.

Should’ve tried it sooner!
2 July 2022

I work in a pet store and usually do my shopping after my shifts. I have two cats with different preferences and eating styles, but they both seem to like pouches more than cans. I tried a few other brands and kept striking out. We finally had a merchandising reset and the Tiny Tasters were on an end cap display. Single servings, no leftovers caught my eye so I bought a few. My girls LOVE it! The pate comes out of the pouch without breaking up and leaving pieces behind to fish out. The pouch actually rips open in one piece, so I don’t need to keep scissors with the cat food. And the portion is actually perfect! 65-70 calories and enough food for them to eat over 30-45 mins since they like to take a break. Thanks Wellness!

Stormie Loves!
19 February 2023

My five year old cat would only lick the gravy from her food, didn't bother me to much since the second cat ate the rest. We currently travel full time in an RV and we only have Stormie, I tried SO MANY brands and types of wet cat food, someone told me about Core so I tried it, at first she would try everything, then it was only duck now for 2 years it's the salmon/tuna pate. Honestly this is all she will eat. A few times in a pinch I had to grab something from Walmart and she would NOT eat eat it. She also eats the wellness dry but not much. It's getting hard to find and I hope it's not going to be discontinued or I will be in trouble with her. My vet was impressed by her health!

TINY TASTERS is the BEST!
4 December 2021

just wanted to say thank you SOOO much for Tiny Tasters! It has saved my 16 yr old cats life as she wouldnt/couldnt really eat anything else except gerber beef or ham baby food and she's gets burned out on it. THEN i found Tiny Tasters! perfect size packets. (Love the packets as well). and she LOVES ALL the meat flavors (she cannot eat fish or throws up). so we got 4 different ones to bounce back and forth from and her 2 baby foods in between and life is so much better for her as she gets so excited to eat now again. THANK YOU!

Tiny Tasters are Core for my Kitty
20 December 2022

My geriatric rescued, special needs, male kitty, with surgically-removed teeth, has to have his thyroid medication ground up and disguised in a tasty, smooth, pate wet food formula. He is very fussy about his food, and if he can taste his meds in the food at all, he won't eat it. World pickiest cat LOVES this food!

I don't think I've ever written a cat food review in my life. One if my 3 cats has always had a sensitive stomach and it's impossible to find food that he will eat consistently. It's been extremely hard to get him to maintain his weight. Now at first I wasn't thrilled with the idea of this food (too many gum ingredients) but out of desperation I tried it. Well my cat devours this food in a way I've never seen him do. I can already see him looking healthier because he's finally eating his food completely as opposed to just leaving most of it. My only issues again would be the use of too many gum stabilizers in one food....(most cat food uses one gum...but 3 seems excessive...is that even safe to be fed long term??) and I would love this is a bigger size in addition ... MoreI don't think I've ever written a cat food review in my life.
