This is the only high quality wet food in cans that my 3 cats will consistently gobble up. Although they will eat all the canned flavors in hydrating puree, this Chicken & Beef is their favorite. My cats will only eat pate and it has to be really moist so this puree consistency meets their rigid requirements. It's a really great way to get more liquid into them. I'm glad that Weruva came out with this new canned pate. They don't like the slide & serve pouches in hydrating puree so there must be some difference that they detect and reject. The canned version has been a big winner with them for several months now, causing all 3 to lick their bowls perfectly clean every time. As long as they continue to love it, I'll continue to buy it.

I have purchased other flavors of this cat food, and those are enjoyed by my cats and it doesn't upset their tummies. This particular one however, made them both VERY sick! I don't know if it was a bad batch or if it is the shrimp in it that has gone bad (cats are not allergic to shrimp). At first I was scratching my head, not sure if this was the cause of their severe vomiting. Waited a week and gave them just a Tbs. each, and sure enough, the same thing happened. Sick cats, out the cost of the food, and what a mess there was to clean up!

At mounds I found this brand and got a can of chicken & salmon and she actually ate it, so I decided to try this flavor because she loves chicken and has digestive issues so the pumpkin is really beneficial to her. I originally started purchasing this hydrating purée for my geriatric cats. As they aged, their stomachs became more sensitive and their teeth were not as strong. They absolutely loved this food and their tummies tolerated it beautifully.My younger cats started eating it as well and now prefer it to meatier canned foods. The kitties get what the kitties want!
Extra hydration is a must for my baby. I adopted a sick cat. Difficult uti constant infections. I need control now with meal or no deal jelly pate.Flushes her bladder out, along with cat drinking fountain. Litter is Dr. ETSYfor seniors..One word of caution: Cat vet to the richys in Manhattan told me never buy cat food with fish product in top 5 of ingredients. Weruva has extremely sub par cat food with fish. I accidentally bought one opened it and was shocked. Rancid and dank.
I’m a little confused at the inconsistency of the product. I bought a can of food for my cat to try and she chowed it right down. Although advertised as a pate, it was brimming in “sauce” and had the consistency of pudding. Some of the cans in the multi pack I purchased are like I described and some are like the dry, firm pate form I’ve bought from other brands!SO, if you hit it right and get the softer pate, your cat(s) will love this food
My cat is a very fussy eater and will only eat pate. All other food she licks any juice and leaves the rest, so am constantly looking for good, healthy food for her.I found this and she really loves it . Pumpkin is good for cats so this should be good for her
It smelled off (like fish gone bad) and made my cat vomit immediately after he tried to eat it. He has eaten this variety and brand before without any problems. I would like a refund or a credit towards a future purchase. I’m also concerned that this batch might make other cats sick. I’ve tried calling the customer service phone number 3 times and no one picked up. I’ve also tried emailing and it’s been a week w/ no reply.
My 3 cats love the pudding like consistency of the new canned pates in hydrating puree. They demand a moist, smooth pate and refuse to eat pieces of anything in it even though they love to chomp on dry food. :( Their bowls were licked clean with the exception of the tiny shrimp that were left at the bottom. They did the same thing with the chicken & pumpkin. Food was gone but little pieces of pumpkin were left in their bowls. Since they refuse to eat even tiny pieces of anything in their food, I'll stick with the flavors that are completely smooth like the chicken & beef. They loved the taste of this food (minus the shrimp) so it still gets 5 stars for the apparent great taste and healthy ingredients.
I just started feeding wet food about a month ago and have fed mainly Avoderm and some Solid Gold. I switched my kitty to Weruva about a week ago. The difference in the food is incredible. You can tell the difference just in looking at it. The food looks human grade, rather than a mound of jelly. It smells much better, too. My cat knows the difference as well. Where she went crazy for the Avoderm before, she won't even touch it now that she's had Weruva. We won't go back for sure!
