I love this Toppl. My pup goes crazy whenever she sees me start to prepare one for her. As with all the west paw rubber toys this washes up easy and lasts forever. My Golden is not an aggressive chewer but she is focused and determined. I love watching her figuring out how to get the very last piece of kibble that is wedged snugly all the way at the bottom. Her tongue is just a tad too short! She exhausts herself trying and I usually find her fast asleep with the Toppl between her paws. I take the Toppl and dislodge the last few pieces and place it back between her paws. When she awakes the look of sheer delight and victory as she gives one last try and cleans it out is great!Sometimes I prepare one and hide it in her toy box before leaving for a few hours. We purchased two, the larger size for our standard doodle and the small size for our mini doodle. They both LOVE their Toppls! I can easily fill with things like apple slices, carrots, red bell pepper, blueberries, venison jerky, dehydrated beef liver and chicken hearts, wedging some treats in to make it more challenging for them. Our mini knows how to bounce and roll his Toppl to get his treats. Our standard just manipulates his and has a ball doing so! Both love to play with them and have them thrown to retrieve after the treats are gone. They are easy to clean, too! Highly recommend for snack time!

These are great! Our border collie drastically prefers toppls to kongs (and they're so much easier to clean). I will say that these are basically useless for dry kibble unless you get the two different sizes and lock them together, but they've been awesome for freezing all sorts of things (her favorites are yogurt, banana, applesauce, and canned food. Unfortunately she actually detests soaked kibble so we haven't had much luck freezing that either).I was initially concerned she might chew out the interior stick things (not sure what they're called), but so far she's shown no interest in chewing on them at all. She does have some trouble getting things unstuck from the very bottom of the small and she can't reach the bottom of the large at all (16lbs currently, but ... MoreThese are great! The candy cane colour is basically just solid pink (rather than varied), at least for the one we received, which was slightly disappointing, but the puppy obviously doesn't care, so that's just an aesthetics thing.

I ordered two Toppls, L and XL, to use as an interlocking treat dispenser. It works marvelously for that. I stick two small high-value treats in the prongs and fill the rest with her kibble and she thinks she's getting something really special. Our GSD is old enough now that she no longer destroys toys (at least not usually!), but treat-dispensing toys take a harder beating. So far these have held up perfectly and I expect they'll last a good long while. I'm impressed with the quality AND the fact that West Paw will take them back and recycle them if they get to the point where they're no longer usable.
These are amazing. We're in the process of diagnosing some GI issues with our 8 month puppy, and she's on a very limited diet and can't have any treats, chews or bones. It's a terrible age to not be able to give anything but prescription food. She can't be trusted with soft toys or rope toys, and has no interest in kongs or other rubber things. These are perfect for keeping her busy. We pack her kibble and some wet food in them and freeze them. They take her a good 30 minutes or more to finish, and she has yet to damage one. Plus, they're super easy to clean. I just throw them in the dishwasher!
My 2 year old 70lb dog get 2 and a 1/2 cups of dry dog food twice a day. I have the XL Toppl. I take 1 cup of what will be his dinner, let it soak in some very hot water for about 5-10 minutes in the morning. After it’s soaked for a bit and the food is soft I mush it up a bit and put it in the toppl. I freeze it and then that will be part of his dinner. Takes him about 20-30 minutes to eat it. I love that it’s easy to fill and clean. It’s challenging for my dog but also easier to access the food than a kong which I like cause a lot of the time with a long my dog isn’t able to get everything out of it and it’s frustrating for him. Really good quality, I can tell this will be a life long product for him!
I purchased 2 toppls the large and the small so that I could fill them with treats and connect them so that my pup could play with them and be rewarded. I was surprised at how fast my pup was able to disconnect them to get to the treats. However, after disconnecting the toppl he started chewing on them. He chewed a portion of the rim off of the small toppl and started on the large one before I could take it away from him. This toy is better suited for a less aggressive chewer which my pup is not. I think that this toy is a quality toy, a great play toy and somewhat durable but it is not for my pup. Maybe when he gets past his chewing stage I will try it again.
I have had one topple for a long time and was not utilizing it enough. But once I had to move my dogs from a home with a yard to an apartment, I needed to get creative on how to keep them happy and stimulated. And that's when I realized I had been ignoring the incredible value of the toppl we already had. I bought more and now I fill them with healthy foods and freeze them and always keep them at the ready in the freezer. It takes the dogs awhile to eat all the goodies from them and it topples around, keeping the dogs engaged and in a sense, active while they eat their treat. The West Paw instagram page has incredible creative ideas on how to stuff these things with fancy treats and make them look so festive and cute. The West Paw instagram page has incredible creative ideas on how to stuff these things with fancy treats and make them look so festive and cute. I stick to low calorie, dog sage human foods to fill it (like apple sauce, fat free yogurt or veggie broth with some blueberries, broccoli or tomatoes hidden inside) and sometimes I top it with a few small dog treats. They are a great way to keep your dog busy if you need to get things done or have company, and it actually sort of wears them out once theyre done. Also can be a great distraction for fireworks.
The Toppl is a lifesaver! I arrive home from work late in the evening and all my dogs wanted to do is wolf down their food (like in 2 minutes) and horseplay. I am trying to rest and go to bed and was instead refereeing the horseplay. My cousin suggested the Toppl. I get their dry kibble, a little yogurt, a little soft food and water - mix together and freeze the mixture in in the Toppl. When I get home at night, I give them their frozen Toppl. It takes them at least 30 minutes to eat. It is good mind stimulation for them to have to work for their dinner. When they are done, they come up to bed and lay down and go to sleep. No more horseplay! They are tired and full when they are done eating out of their Toppl. The large holds a good cup of food, the X-large can hold ... MoreThe Toppl is a lifesaver! No more horseplay! They are tired and full when they are done eating out of their Toppl. The large holds a good cup of food, the X-large can hold closer to 2. They are very durable and holding up nicely. I have heavy chewers and I am seeing no signs of damage to the Toppls even after being chewed on repeatedly. And I will also make different mixtures, you can add fruit, veggies, other treats to the mixtures to mix up the flavors. My dogs love it! My one waits at the freezer when I come home because he is ready for his Toppl!!!
We LOVE the toppl! The shape is unique and provides a challenge for Murph to work for his food, but it's not too difficult. It's for moderate chewers, but its held up to Murph chewing on it and he's not gentle, so the quality exceeded my expectations. I don't let him chew on it much after he gets the food out, but it's sturdy enough that I don't need to worry about him destroying it before I can put it away. I love that it's dishwasher and freezer safe too! The possibilities for enrichment are endless! The bounce and fun rolling movement it does is a bonus for playing! Overall a fantastic toy!
