I have a lottttt of data so I got this. I did not realize the transfer rates on 3.5inch spinning drives have gone up. With a USB 3 adapter/reader dock this was transferring over 100mbps. It makes the spinning drive sounds that these make, but it is actually quit quiet. The drives are great and quck shipping. I have about 10 dives of this type I use for cameras and backup system.
WD 10Tb HDD is a good economical solution for a recorder in a residential surveillance system.
