The front panel heats up from the residual heat in the oven. The front panel reaches temperatures well above 70 degrees stated in the manual. Temperatures over 62 degrees can burn you.You can set the oven to Defrost after cooking to cool it down. However, this is not mentioned in the user manual, and it's not good having to remember to set Defrost after cooking.

We've been using our new gas oven for about a month now ad really loving the results - good consistent results and even coverage, especially the grill. Also finding the defrost setting handy. A few things we are disappointed in is the offset temperature dial settings for the oven (not aligned with the actual temp/text) and the digital display itself is also very basic and does not display the current temperature or the set temperature... something we assumed would be standard for an oven at this price point. One of the downsides to shopping online I guess.Be sure to read the operating manual BEFORE using it for the first time, to clean and prepare it correctly... as well as learn how to make the most of its features.

Yes, I can say that, because this is the best oven I bought. I replaced my old Chef oven after 20 years and I am glad I did.Very happy with baking and grilling. I cooked veggies, potatoes under the grill and result amazing. Cakes excellent. Baking meat very good results.Great product.
