We purchased this from the Good Guys Maitland and have had it installed for less than a month. One knob has already broken, Electrolux have ordered the knob but it wont be here until august end. I find the knobs have no safety features to stop them turning on at all, an accidental nudge or touch whilst cleaning will turn on the hotplate which is not suitable for those with kids or aged adults as it happens so often. Most knobs should be a two part turn on system ie: push down and turn, but not these.

Cooktop does the job and does it well. This one was to replace one that failed. I was contemplating going induction but was told I would need new circuits/wiring so didn't go that route. After delivery of this one I found out by accident that the Westinghouse induction cooktop only uses 0.1kW more than this one, so I wouldn't need new wiring.Anyway this one is more than adequate and we are happy with it.

Works well. One thing to note - The knobs on the right hand side sometimes get in the way of the pots and pans when you have the range full.

Good cook top, fast to heat up, easy to use. Only negative is that the knobs are very easy to turn on - I have accidentally turned it on while cleaning

A very easy non-complicated purchase on line and even better delivered within a few days. Bravo! Previous reviews had indicated the dials were easily knocked. Yes this is true however they are springy and quite easy to put back in place. The red light indicator I wish came on as soon as the dial was turned however I suspect this only lights up when the plate it hot to touch. It does take some time for the light to go out i.e. when the plate cools down. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase, love the extra little bit of room (70cm vs 60cm). I would recommend this product for the basic everyday kitchen with no fuss.
We purchased this cooktop to replace a much more expensive one which had failed after only two years. This works well, has a good ceramic top, slipped perfectly into the 70 cm space and has knobs which directly access the hot plates. My only criticism is that it would be helpful to have an indicator light near the knob to indicate which hot plate is on. The knobs turn freely. A somewhat better approach would be for the knob to have a series of stops at different settings.
Only issue I have are:-1- the turning knobs do not have clear markings to indicate its position. The slit is not very visible on all knobs.
Works really well, only things I can fault is that there is no individual light to indicate which hotplate you are currently using ( like the old one we had ) other than the residual heat indicator, also the markings on the cooktop to indicate the level of heat selection and which rotor switch does what hotplate are not visible enough. Just need to pay more attention.Other than this, works really good.
Good size cooktop and the bigger heat zones at the front limit splashes to back tiles. Heats very quickly compered to our small cooktop
