I like that if i want just a short couple of minutes cooking/heating, i only have to press the one button, for number of mins i want eg 1 for one minute or 2 for two mins cooking, and it auto starts cooking for that amount of time. LOVE THAT! It took some getting used to at first when i just wanted a few seconds heating, as i was inputting time i wanted in seconds and it started cooking in minutes instead. I now use the start button which auto starts for 30 seconds heating, OR, i can manually choose specific cook time by pressing the cook time button first then put in the specific time i want then press start. Too easy! Just took a few goes to get used to. We like it and it looks great and is very roomy for large family casserole dishes etc. The 500g Defrost button ... MoreI like that if i want just a short couple of minutes cooking/heating, i only have to press the one button, for number of mins i want eg 1 for one minute or 2 for two mins cooking, and it auto starts cooking for that amount of time. Bought 1/10/21.

I use a microwave quite regularly, after comparing other brands on the market I chose the Westinghouse. Firstly because it's Australian and I try to buy what is still manufactured here. Secondly the 40L capacity was a stand out from most if not all the other brands. Being able to put larger dishes on a turntable is a bonus for family meals, or reheating. Thirdly, for such a big unit it's not heavy. I was able to carry it in out of my car on my own to set up in my kitchen. I do also like fingerprint resistant stainless steel feature. I love my stainless steel kitchen appliances, but they can look so dirty if smears start to appear that don't come off all that easy. A damp cloth just wipes away any marks, while retaining the shine of stainless steel.

I love the Westinghouse microwave. It's not an Inverter, as having come from an Inverter, I didn't want another. I really disliked the constant need to 'cool'. My new Westinghouse is wonderful. It took a few minutes to learn the settings (reducing heat & timing) but now a breeze to use. It's a great size & being black, looks great in my kitchen. Highly recommend this product

I bought my first one for its ease of use and how it blended in with other kitchen appliances. When that one started blowing the circuit breaker every time I hit the "Start" button and after less than 3 years of use, I looked around at other options. I ended up back with the same model because it had worked really well before the electrical shorting behind the control panel happened and didn't cost way more. I'm hoping the first one was an anomaly and this one will last longer. For me, it is still the easiest one to operate, which was my main criterium.
The star rating is not a reflection on the legendary service provided by Appliances Online, but of the product itself. The product was ordered around 10pm and it was delivered at 12.20pm the following day.As soon as we opened the box we went "Oh No". We had checked the measurements before ordering and it seemed to fit, but due to a combination of a large mounting box for the GPO (power point) at the back of the recess; the power plug being of the straight-in-line type (rather than low profile) and the bulging protrusion from the back of the microwave, the machine sits forward of the opening of the recess. I've had to devise a shield to protect the mirowave door from the heat of the wall oven below.Unfortunately there was no point going back to Appliances Online ... MoreThe star rating is not a reflection on the legendary service provided by Appliances Online, but of the product itself. I've had to devise a shield to protect the mirowave door from the heat of the wall oven below.Unfortunately there was no point going back to Appliances Online because they prominantly stated on their website that due to COVID19 they would not be accepting returns. We will bear that in mind in future. Once bitten, twice shy. But we are also at fault because with the coronavirus lockdown we panicked and didn't take the time to fully research a new purchase. (And had we lived in Victoria we probably would not have been allowed out of doors anyway!)As for the microwave, I think we have a dud. Just have a look at the photo of cheese and baked beans on toast (if it loaded correctly). One half of the cheese has not melted, after 30 seconds at 1100W. I have not experienced that with any other microwave oven. With other dishes the outside can be hot but the centre cold. I thought microwave ovens worked by heating from inside out? The 'Sensor Reheat' setting certainly reheats. It does alot more. Even without a food cover interferring with the sensors, it will re-cook the food and is happy to reheat the contents on a plate for 4-5 minutes unless stopped beforehand. It does not cremate. (Our previous machine was a Panasonic and it had a very accurate and gentle reheat function.)
Really like this microwave, looks smart, easy to use. Generous size, not loud. Liking that you press 1-6 and it will automatically cook for that amount of minute/s. Each morning 2 minute oats - open door, place bowl, close door, press 2, cooks and hey presto breakfast ready.Very impressed with delivery from The Good Guys. Out of stock at my local stores, ordered online and received within 4 days to a regional area. Also received an online discount. Thank you Good Guys.
This is certainly a hard working and effective oven - a 40l capacity is necessary for serious food prep. However it's as noisy as a 1960's Hercules Starlifter in operation, especially when placed on a hard melamine covered bench. At first I thought I had a 'joke' model from good guys where I acquired it in fair exchange for one of those black window types that stymie monitoring one's cookery in action.I place 'heat wheat' bags on both top and sides adjacent the 'gun' with some noise dampening effect.I wonder whether those adhesive noise reduction carbon blocks on sale at hard wares dampeners, could work better - preferably placed inside, but at cost of a service call. But really, why hasn't noise reduction material already been applied by design? This is the first such microwave I've encountered in dozens I used at home and elsewhere. The key logic is also somewhat abstruse, like some early designs. Surely logic hasn't been patented by the opposition?
So far so good. Ive only had the microwave 3 week, but so far its exactly what I was after.I was lucky enough to get this on special for $199 all because it was black & not stainless steel as that one was a ridiculous $349.Same bloke, different hat in my book. I was nervous going in to the microwave buying process as i didnt want to buy a lemon. but this microwave has made me feel a lot more confident. Microwave heats up really well, and the different operations on it are fantastic. A real solid performer. Good size as well for those bigger dishes you might want to zap through the microwave. Would recommend so far.
We purchased this microwave to replace our previous LG which wasnt heating food through properly This one was just the same and also the turntable started shuddering and seizing up. We returned it and exchanged it for the Breville soft close 3 in 1 combo microwave oven, air fryer. So far so good. The replacement procedure in store through concierge was very very slow and drawn out.
Not crash hot. Opened box to find carousel wheel broken. Returned whole item to the store where they offered another caramel wheel replacement. As the sales person was holding the wheel it suddenly broke in the same place obviously an attempt to save plastic to the point where this one vital part has been compromised. Muciwaveboerfirmance nothing outstanding. Could do better Westinghouse. Have your other appliances installed in my home. All good but NzoT this product.
