I was never able to open and that's y it was greasy and later on started to dripping the stickiness thing on my food. And I am worried that it will happen again. I bought it this without seeing becasue this product was not on display so I bought it online without seeing otherwise I will never buy this product.

We bought this appliance as we were restricted to a fixed rangehood. Chose the stainless steel over white to blend in better. The appliance screws up underneath the cupboards, so easy install for recirculating. It was installed by the professional installer who installed our kitchen. However, it makes a whistling sound along with the normal air flow and I have contacted Westinghouse about this who advised me to get an appliance technician to check it out, which I would have to pay for if there is no fault found with the appliance. Given the easiness of the install, and the fact that it was installed by a professional, I am not prepared to pay for a technician to check it. Does the job, I just don’t like the noisy whistling sound.

So easy to change over to the new model as the dimensions remain the same. A little disappointed with the design in that the light bulbs are still in the same position, but covered by adhesive foil ??? presumably to prevent burning a hole in the metal as was the case with the older model. I assume this is a design fault and would have purchased another brand of rangehood had I known it had not been modified.
My initial thoughts when turning it on for the first time was it sucks!. After taking some additional time to consider, I still think it sucks, but then thats what its supposed to do. It sucks very well, and the filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher (unlike Dyson Air Filters). Now my Dyson Air Purifier doesnt have to work nearly as hard as before and will save me money on filter replacement. I can purify the whole house by just leaving the range hood on full power!
Doesn't take up too much room, easy to operate, the light could be brighter. Tthe edges are a bit sharp/hard at the front so if you bump your head you really know it. When you're busy cooking it's very easy to do. Overall, it looks quite nice and works well.
Our previous rangehood fan died and this rangehood is the new model so it made sense to buy this one as it fit the space & no electrician required as you just need to plug into the power socket. Very easy to put in. On the lower fan setting it is not as strong but for the price point & convenience, we can live with this.
Ordered online, and was very impressed with the quick delivery. It arrived the next day.I bought it for the purpose of using it on the recirculating mode in an apartment. It came with vent caps to enable this. If your buying it to use on the recirculating mode (non-ducting) you'll need to buy the carbon filter separately. Good guys didn't stock this item, but when I called and spoke to the closest store they were able to recommend a local appliance repairer who stocked the part. Overall the rangehood was simple to install and the fan isn't too loud.
Loving my new Westinghouse Range Hood. It is a great match for my new Westinghouse Oven in beautiful stainless steel. It updated the yellowed old white one I had for over 20 years and matches my cooktop perfectly and gives my kitchen a modern new look. Love having 3 speeds for the fan and the led lights make it a great and economical evening night ligh. Very reasonable price too. Thoroughly satisfied.
