Looked after by Mark, salesman, thank you Mark. It was unboxed having been purchased then returned by previous customer. Store should have informed me there was a scratch on front fascia. I found it by chance after I cleaned the product myself JUST before purchasing it. Salesman gave it a further nominal discount. Installed the rangehood myself THEN realised there was damage done by previous client who had damaged the guiderail, causing a tilt visible when unit slid out. Will affect longevity of the unit itself. Not impressed that competitors starting price is $30 cheaper than yourself, but I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt to begin with. I expect a phone call if you read this review.

I have the Westinghouse oven, cooktop and rangehood. Rangehood is terribly noisy and have to turn it off to talk or hear conversation. Extraction is better from the back hotplates than the front hot plates. I would call it and entry level rangehood. I am currently looking to upgrade ours, as I'm not overly happy with its performance.

No noisier than the 6x more expensive old Miele it replaced (if installed correctly). Easy to self install and connect to our existing duct. It did however need to be installed to the base of a cupboard which the old one did not (top brackets) so I had to make and put one in first. A paper cut out template in the box would have been useful, but not too difficult to make your own (highly recommended to get the screw hole positions just right). A power switch on the unit itself to enable safe power off when removing filters for cleaning would be nice rather than accessing the power socket it plugs into (near top of high cupboard). The Good Guys had a great price and in-store service was excellent.

Excellent rangehood. The stock lights cast an awful tint but are easily replaced with warm LEDs. Reducing the ducting to 125mm significantly reduces extraction and increases noise. With a 150mm duct and the new lights though it works perfectly: quiet and powerful. Great design which allows you to swap out the face for your own.
Not a bad rangehood. Has 3x speeds (you activate this by sliding it out in increments, I think some reviewers are unaware of this) I'm impressed by the quiet sound of the fan (on the two lower speeds) but don't love the slight scraping sound it makes when you slide it back and forth. Overall very good value for money
This is a slide out rangehood where the further you slide it the stronger the fan. I gave it 3 stars as I don't think it's an easy rangehood to clean. There is no way of cleaning it without having to turn of the main power, there is no on/off switch. Also the light stays on continually while in use which is annoying and a waste of electricity. I preferred my old one where there was an on/off switch for both the light and fan. You get what you pay for.
This Westinghouse range hood was purchased to replace a previous similar hood that was 20 years old and falling apart. The size exactly fitted the available space after removal of the old range hood. However, installation was difficult because access above the range hood was restricted by the existing kitchen wall cabinet cupboard and exhaust duct. Unlike the original hood, the screws supplied with the new range hood were designed to be fixed from above the hood, which was not possible without a lot of work to temporarily remove the wall cabinet and duct. The hood has not been installed yet until a way of fixing it in place from below is found.
The rangehood works well. It had the width that I expected, but I didn't realise that the inner part that is hidden inside the cupboard was a different size to my existing rangehood. This produced problems with the installation which were overcome, but I felt really foolish that I didn't check in person with the shop. Moral to the story is don't believe you can do everything online without talking to a real person!
We bought the rangehood to replace an existing Westinghouse that had stopped working, after 10 years. The new one fits the existing space exactly, and although silver, rather than the previous white one, matches the silver cupboard door handles in the kitchen and looks very good. The only part visible is the silver strip across the front. The rangehood works very well and I am completely satisfied with it.
This unit did not specify the venting options - we needed a rear venting unit. The optional retro fit venting kits are all for ceiling venting. This is very misleading. We now have to return the unit and cop a "re-stocking" fee. Very frustrating & disappointing. Will not be recommending Appliances On Line for these types of products.
