Cavalier loved this, but note they are hollow and Not solid.

My 7 year old Cavalier loved this; but note they are hollow and Not solid. It took him about 30 minutes to devour the whole treat. Also the treats are approx. 3.5" tall. BUT at the end he had a good size corner left that he was cautious not to eat and I am glad and threw that away to prevent a choking hazard since they are of a medium hardness it would have gotten stuck in his throat. Please watch while your dog eats it to remove any potential pieces your dog can't grip and chew and might choke by swallowing. However, so far he seems to have no problem digesting and he enjoyed it. I was hoping it would be solid to make it last longer. My 11 year old Cavalier with old teeth enjoyed mouthing his just for fun and couldn't eat it very easily, it's still whole and smoother now, but loved the challenge and I can give it back to him each night to mouth it away little by little. I also want to mention you get 2 of each color hedgehog in the bag = 2 red, 2 yellow, 2 green. We started with the red but they seemed to have wanted to try all 3 flavors at once and didn't avoid any. I would buy again. If you want a very long lasting treat for a dog with normal teeth I suggest the Himalayan solid block sticks that last my 7 year old Cavalier a month of scrapping with his teeth; but when those get small enough to choke throw away stick or microwave to a chewable consistency. I buy a variety of treats for different situations and needs.

Recommended by my trainer. Great natural product that allows the dog to chew and clean their teeth at the same time. What I really like is that the chew last long enough to do the job! (cleaning teeth) last longer than most and my dog loves them. Just remember to buy the size suited best for your dog. My boxer has the large ones.

The trainer was nice and flexible with scheduling. He was almost 10 minutes late. The facility was dirty. There was a dead cricket in the floor that my dog almost ate. He did eat a piece of scrap paper that was in the floor. The station used for clean up was super dusty. We spent the first 20 minutes or so sitting in the floor with the trainer just giving our dog treats. I would have liked some communication around this like “what we are doing to do is give him some time to just get used to me” or something but instead we all just sat there. I just felt there could have been more communication during the visit about what we could be doing and what the trainer was doing even if it was just “ok so now I’m going to try to pet him or hold him”. He did give good explanations about what next steps would look like in future trainings. The main reason for the low score is the lack of cleanliness of the facility which is not the trainers fault.

Don't do it.
2 February 2022

The employee was very kind! Thankfully, she has dogs and knows all the basic things we know. We did NOT have a certified trainer as was advertised for the class. The corner we were put in for the class was disgusting. Disgusting. I saw three bugs. (Our puppy ate one bug.) There was trash all over the floor. It couldn't even be swept before we had our "private lesson with a certified trainer." I need more than 2-3 sentences to complain about it and ask for a REFUND. The store had plenty of notice we were coming. They freaked out when we arrived and did the best they could with what they had and we do appreciate that. However, stop advertise certified dog trainers when your company doesn't provide them. Will never go back.

Great occasional dental treat
4 April 2023

We give our pups dental treats daily but occasionally when we think our (5 year old) girl needs a little boost and pampering we give her a Whimsy hedgehog or a gator. She absolutely LOVES them. Plus we don't feel bad about their extra cost because they last 5x longer than her daily dental sticks. Her teeth are so clean she's never had to have a vet cleaning! Win/win!

Janice has been a life saver!
5 January 2022

Janice is awesome! Lady loves her and I’m so pleased with all we’re learning! Lady and I definitely needed more structure/training. Janice has taught me so much and Lady is really progressing the last few weeks. I was really struggling with our daily walks. While, Lady still has a little ways to go, out walks have completely turned around. She’s definitely consistence since our first session. She’s also learned more “tricks” and hand signals and she’s doing so well with learning patience!

No Nonsense Training Par Excellance!
8 April 2022

Nancy is a phenomenal, intutive & intelligent trainer. I thought it would be "work" to teach my energetic pointer to settle down. I was (am) amazed at Nancy's wizardry with my strong willed puppy. However, I marveled at how readily my puppy responded to Nancy's cues. I was delighted that when I followed Nancy's example, I was able to elicit the same behaviors using only body language and treats. The dreaded but necessary puppy class was a positive learning experience. Nancy is beyond excellent in her field of dog training! I will continue with ongoing classes so that my puppy will learn not to pester myself and others with jumping and bossy barking behaviors etc.

Pet 101 Individual Class
26 October 2021

Paid for an individual class which allows the trainer to evaluate your dog on a one on one basis. The class wasn’t for 3 weeks since that’s what worked best for us. I received an email from the trainer to call her, as I input my cell incorrectly. We have played phone tag and I have left a detailed message for her asking what she is calling about and asking if she’d please leave a detailed message so I know what she needs BEFORE the class starts. Now I’ve discovered that the private class is at my own location - nothing on the website suggested this and I don’t think that’s goi g to work for us. I’m disappointed, as I thought I had found what I needed but looks like I have to start over again finding a trainer to evaluate our new rescue.

Small space, Great trainer.
14 June 2021

Courtney was fantastic. In a short amount of time she was able to show us all the basics and she was so calm with my girl. She was prepared and on time and had all the advice you could want in a 101 class. My rescue pup is rowdy so we both agreed that that space is not suited for her training needs. The wall made her nervous since she could hear and smell lots of things going on the other side, but not see unless she put her front paws on the barrier. She is also not fond of other dogs yet so that was a challenge when they walked by. However, I didn't like the space even if she was better behaved. Anyone can walk by and see what you're doing and distract the lesson.Overall I would definitely recommend if your dog isn't easily distracted!

Tasty Healthy Treat
6 April 2024

Our dogs love these treats and will sit down to gnaw on them. They keep coming back for more so we do use them sparingly. They also hold together well and smell pretty good. I would recommend these for any pet parent looking to add to their dogs diet.
