I do appreciate the fact the Wild Planet submits their products to a third party for mercury testing, an often-unsung safety measure many popular canned tunas fail to do or mention to their customers, however at almost four dollars a can the markup of this tuna is rather expensive, especially when you consider there are many other healthy and sustainably caught canned tunas on the market. Overall, if you’re looking for a healthy and environmentally sustainable canned tuna there are many other options that taste better and are more reasonably priced.

I received a sample of Wild Planet SkipJack Wild Tuna from Peekageapp and Wild Planet Foods. I tasted the tuna before mixing in a small amount of mayonnaise and seasoned with lemon pepper. You are not to drain this tuna. There is not much juice in this can of tuna, and the flavor is good. After mixing in all the other ingredients, I will say this is a good brand of tuna. It has chunks of tuna, which is easy to cut up with a fork. I ate the tuna with some Cabaret butter crackers, and the flavors from the tuna and crackers melded well together. I can definitely see me purchasing this brand of tuna in the future. Thank you Peekageapp and Wild Planet Foods for sending me this tuna free for review.

This tuna is sustainably caught using the line and pole method instead of trawler nets, which is better for the planet. It does cost more than leading brands, but to me it's worth it. It comes in heartier chunks rather than minced mystery tuna and it tastes delicious. Makes the perfect quick wrap for lunch or light dinner. Love this product and will buy again.

Let me start out by saying that I don't normally eat meat of any kind out a can so this was new for me . I was also very glad I did. It was wonderful. It's not at all fishy tasting and it's just so flaky. Not like other Tuna I have seen all squished In a can of oil. This is just pure hand packed tuna with no water , oil, or filler added. You sure can tell it's of a higher standard than most. 🐟 Made from sustainably pole and line caught 100% pure tuna and sea salt. No fillers added. All omega 3's are retained . AVC 374mg EPA and DHA Omega 3's per serving. 🐟 Very high in protein-nonadded sugar or alcohol-no artificial ingredients-and completely shelf stable. 🐟 All around great product at a terrific value. Delicious tuna! The BEST!!!

BEST tuna ever! Tastes AMAZING. Once you go skipjack, you can't go back. I also find these 4 packs to be incredibly affordable, as compared to how they are sold in-store (which are always pricey). I will forever buy this brand of tuna! Does not have odd aftertaste and just overall a fulfilling and yummy

I have recently tried both the flex packaged version and this particular one of skipjack tuna, and I must say, this one tastes absolutely fantastic! It stands out as one of the best tuna in water options I have ever had. The quality is outstanding, and it offers acceptable value-for-money. I will definitely be reordering this product as it serves as a wonderful replacement for the oil-packed version, which is more suitable for my dietary needs. On the other hand, I strongly advise staying away from the flex packaged one, as it does not meet the same level of quality and taste.

Great, amazing, excellent composition. Suitable for many different diets, and their restrictions and requirements. Great, amazing, excellent serving size and packaging. I use it incredibly often, in my baking recipes.

Hard to find low sodium tuna!!

Great tasting low sodium tuna. Low sodium products are so hard to find. With so many people having heart disease now days. Low sodium products would be a gold mine if more manufacturers made them!! Thank you for being one of the few companies that make low sodium products!!! Bought these for my 80-year-old army veteran father who has heart disease!! He loves it!!

The BEST tuna I ever had

I LOVE this tuna. It comes with a little bit of oil, not a LOT like many other brands with a lesser amount of tuna. It's packed full of tuna. Plus I've read that Skipjack is a type of tuna that has the least amount of mercury (don't quote me on that...check for yourself). It's sustainably caught, pole and line caught which is want you want to look for in seafood. If it's caught by net everything else around it -- garbage, license plates, etc. -- is scooped up with it. I have made this my "go to" tuna. Sorry Charlie.

The perfect tuna for tuna melts!

I struggle to find high-quality tuna in Israel that isn't all water. It all has a grainy texture and is just ... well ... disgusting. I also find that the tuna here isn't devoted to sustainable practices. Luckily, Wild Planet is available on iHerb and I can order it as frequently as I want. The taste, quality, texture, and cost is right on the money, and I order this a few times a month for tuna melts!
