Wild Planet, Wild Albacore Tuna, No Salt Added, 6 x 142 g

The wild planet wild albacore tuna was absolutely delicious. It was a hit amongst the children as wall as the adults. It had a pleasant appearance, did not have a very fishy aroma nor did it have a very fishy taste. It’s great that it’s packed in its own juices and claims no need to drain but there was a bit much liquid for me to feel comfortable not draining it. Despite that one downfall this is an amazing quality product and it’s sustainability and environmentally friendly practices are a major plus. The cost is a bit high for me completely switch brands but most of my moms group are going to. I will definitely be purchasing wild planet wild albacore tuna as often as possible for my family.

I’ve been buying eating Starkist tuna for as long as I can remember and have been enjoying it. This is the first time I’ve tried a new tuna brand thought it was really good! It has flavor that is just as good as the brand I’m used too, but I think Wild Planets fishing practices are better. According to their brand, everything is caught sustainably by being 100% pole line caught. Which means they don’t use any long lines or nets to catch their tuna which is safer for other sea animals like turtles for example. 4 packages of Wild planet 3oz tuna

Although tuna tasted different than usual, I forced myself to eat 1/3 of the pouch. The more I ate, the worst I felt. I threw the rest of that package away and opened another package. The color in the odor were disgusting. Something had to have happened to it in transit before it was delivered. I suggest that you Get your tuna from the grocery store, don’t have it delivered.

I love this stuff. Cat loved it on the couple of occasions she had it. The negative reviews crack me up. Some are legit, like getting a bad can or one that arrived hot or whatever. It happens. But the complaints about it smelling and tasting like fish - got news for you people.It is a bit pricey, I'll grant that. Overall, though, it's great.

Disappointed

Two stars are for the fact it has no salt added. However with all the good reviews I expected way more! The tuna was extremely dry and tasted sour. One small bite and into the trash it went. Maybe a bad can? For the price and underwhelming experience I am not willing to try it twice.

Excellent!

This tuna was absolutely delicious and very high quality fish. Because it had no salt added, I knew that it would be a particularly healthy choice, but I thought that the taste/flavour might be rather bland, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Also, it made a very lovely change from any other brands of tuna that I have bought, because it contained no black bits, which I presume are scales from the fish. The packing and packaging were excellent, because although it travelled from the USA to Ireland, every tin was in perfect condition, unlike many other times, when the tins only had to travel a very short distance within Ireland, but arrived dented. Thank you very much for taking such really great care.

Great tuna

Great tasting Tuna fish from Wild Planet. Their flavorful seafood ingredients are always fresh and of the highest quality, I order it all the time. A beneficial staple and useful in any diet. the composition is fishy and delighteful.Package is easy to open and handle. smells adequately fishy. size is generous.

RECEIVED PUNCTURED LEAKING CANS OF TUNA ON PORCH!!

I never bought tuna by mail before, and I'm sorry I did this time. Cans of tuna inside a plastic envelope, no box, no bubble wrap,nothing! I smelled something bad. I could see liquid on outside of package. Cut it open a little and see liquid INSIDE the envelope! STINKS!Walmart is making me return punctured leaking stinking cans of rotten tuna in order to get a refund! Boy do I feel sorry for the Fed Ex guy!

Taste good and better for the planet

Tastes good and better for the planet. Large scale fishing kills many sea creatures like dolphins and sea horses. This company uses fishing poles instead and can catch and release unwanted fish and other sea creatures. Yes it does cost a little more but I think it’s definitely worth it.

What’s not to like?

This tuna has a great taste, whether it’s used in a tuna sandwich or in a recipe. Never has that fishy smell that some canned tuna can have. They never use nets to catch the tuna and it has lower mercury than other brands. Admittedly, a little pricier than other brands but I feel better using Wild Planet because of the low mercury and how the tuna is caught.
