This is by far the greatest and my favorite all time basketball to play with Period! You will feel like a professional and the moment u touch the quality of this ball, you will be hooked. The bounce is great and the grip is excellent. Would recommend if you're going to play mainly in gyms to actually preserve the life of the material on this, the concrete will absolutely wear out the leather after continued use. I previously had a Spalding which felt harder and slicker than it should have. I have very large hands but this Wilson Evolution grips nicely and has a soft spongy feel. It dribbles evenly and I get good overall control. I’m glad the lettering comes in different colors because it’s the most common ball at my gym. From casual games of 21, to full on game ... MoreThis is by far the greatest and my favorite all time basketball to play with Period! A must have for every basketball players who do not want a cheap rubber ball when it's time to play! Overall I highly recommend this one, it's available at most sporting goods stores and shopping centers.

This basketball is seriously top-notch. The grip is amazing, giving you excellent control and handling on the court. The size is perfect for players who want that authentic feel of a professional basketball. The bounce is just right, and the durability is impressive too. Whether you're playing indoors or outdoors, this ball is a game-changer. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I bought this ball at the beginning of 2023. It worked great until recently when I went to add some air. The next day I took it to an early morning run and it was completely deflated/flat. It won't hold air for more than an hour now. I have to keep pumping it up every time I want to play. I don't have the receipt anymore so I can't do the warranty claim. I invested $80 in a ball because I thought it was the best ball and great quality that would last. It's pretty disappointing.

Balls came in and look very nice. They are in stock in both male and female sizes which allowed uniformity for the School. They are not my personal preference however I have been using them for years. These balls hold up over several years, however, they will get slick especially when not used on a wooden floor. Most of our Games are played in Gyms with tile or painted concrete which very quickly makes these balls slick unlike the spalding Tf 1000 which keep their grip for far longer. But for most schools this probably no issue when wooden floors are the norm.
I bought the Evolution indoor basketball a couple of weeks ago and I am beyond impressed. Order ships fast, received within a few days. I highly recommend this ball for indoor use only to keep the composite leather in optimal condition over the life of the ball. Well worth the price! I play indoors a few times a week and I could not be happier. The materials are great quality, soft, awesome grip, great ball control, responsive bounce, and can shoot with ease. I considered other basketballs but this product truly lives up to the hype. Looking for a great indoor ball? Do not settle!
The Wilson Evolution basketball is one of the best and most popular basketballs there are. I’ve been playing basketball for as long as I can remember and have used a wide range of basketballs but this one has been the best so far. It’s an indoor game ball made with high quality composite leather, this ball has so far lasted me 2 years and still feels like its brand new. Although this is one of the best basketballs it does come with a bit of a price it starts at 70 dollars but if you catch it on sale, you can probably get It for cheaper. Even though the price is high it lasts for a very long time, instead of buying a decent ball that might only last half a year and cost 20 dollars you could save money in the long run by getting this ball that lasts a long time and is ... MoreThe Wilson Evolution basketball is one of the best and most popular basketballs there are. This ball also comes in 2 sizes 29.5 and 28.5 which is a women’s ball and men’s ball. The Wilson Evolution basketball has great grip but it’s also not sticky the thousands of micro touch points in the ball make the perfect grip and is great for dribbling and shooting. This basketball also doesn’t pick up the dust on the court like some others would, so it maintains the great grip and doesn’t wear down. The Wilson Evolution has one of the best and most consistent bounces on any ball I have ever tried. The ball was put through extreme tests to make sure the ball was perfect and had a consistent bounce and maintained good inflation before getting put on the market for sale. This ball has been approved by the NCAA and is the most used ball by high school athletes. This ball has also recently become the ball they use in the NBA.The Wilson Evolution basketball will make basketball way more enjoyable for you and the people you are playing around. It will also enhance your performance on the court with all the features that it has, this ball every year comes out with new and improved versions to stay at the top of list for the basketballs there are. This is a basketball I highly recommend you getting if you’re a hooper.
Bought this for my daughter so she can have a nice ball. Definitely needs broken in, but seems like a smooth shape, good bounce and looks like no cosmetic defects or blemishes. Color was exactly as portrayed(Royal or I think purple). Delivery was pretty quick, Like 3 days. Overall pretty happy, but I'm not a hooper and haven't played in years. So not sure what to expect from this exactly. I mean it's only 80 bucks. I play golf and I'd kill to pay 80$ to have a ball all year lol
I recently bought a Wilson Evolution (not online, but from a sporting goods store). When I get home, I realized that the air valve was notably raised from the ball surface and that it was separated all around from the material of the basketball itself, all of which seemed to be an obvious defect. I ended up reading a bunch of reviews online (mostly on Amazon) about the ball, and saw that many people complained of poor quality control, with issues like raised air valves, seams being sloppily glued together, and the synthetic leather surface peeling off. I also saw that people mentioned that the ball has a three letter code at the bottom of all the writing around the air valve, starting with either X or N, and that the N balls tend to be better finished. I also saw that people mentioned that the ball has a three letter code at the bottom of all the writing around the air valve, starting with either X or N, and that the N balls tend to be better finished. My ball had a code starting with X. I ended up going back to the store I bought it from and exchanged the ball. Interestingly, the store had a bunch Evolutions, and they were in three totally different kinds of boxes. I looked at least 6 different balls -- all the balls with the code starting with X had problems -- either the air valve was sloppily inserted, seams had glue or extra material showing where they met, or the synthetic leather surface wasn't glued down properly where it met some seams and you could see some of the white raw material from the underside that shouldn't be visible. There were two balls with the N code and both of them seemed pretty much perfect (the only issue with them is that where the writing is around the air valve, the surface of the ball is a bit indented/depressed, probably because of the printing mechanism they use -- it's a bit annoying, but I don't think it's a defect, and it will probably even out as I use the ball more. Plus, I'd rather have that than any of the problems I saw with the X balls). I'm guessing that Wilson must be using different factories and that's what the X and N codes mean -- seems like the X factory has terrible quality control (I don't think the problem is fake balls as some people have suggested, since all the balls I looked at were in store, and many still had problems). My new N ball is great so far, so if at all possible, I'd say make sure you get a ball with an N code.
Everyone loves this ball as it's everywhere. It's skin allows for some of my off shots to squeak through as it can get slippery. The skin on an Evo Nxt or Solution allows my average size hands to palm and extend, protecting from defenders. With that said, as a one on one connoisseur I choose the control over the "perceived" levity on off shots. The grippier balls seem to rim out more... but that applies to my opponents as well. I'll say that Evolutions are well constructed and optimally weighted overall. I'll say that as a slightly less expensive ball, with equal balance and optimal panel construction... The Baden Elite is a good option too. I can't say that I think it's better... just another option in a gym where most often the facility is full of Evo's and ... MoreEveryone loves this ball as it's everywhere. I feel the reticence in adoption of the Evo Nxt... but as the standard for the NCAA, we all might need to get on board. I'm glad to be able to handle the ball like a big man, as I love to play post. That's my primary focus in choosing a ball these days, so take the aforementioned with that in mind. Enjoy as Wilson Basketballs really are the best. :) :) ;)
I’ve been playing basketball for the last 15 of my 25 years. Since playing for my middle school team this has been my favorite ball maybe up to a week ago once I got the new version the Evo Nxt. This ball is loved for its soft touch and smoothness. The channels are easily findable making shots simple and thoughtless. Bounce in the ball lasts forever and so does the quality for the most part if USED ONLY INDOORS. Parents if your child is serious about basketball and say they want this ball ignore the price and get it for them. This will be the ball they play with in middle and high school for games practice open gyms everything. If taken care of you won’t need to buy but two their whole school careers. This ball will be stolen or lost before it is needed to be replaced. I’ve never damaged or had problems with mine and I hoop consistently. I will say for players or anyone who’s touched this ball or used it I will say the now NCAA official gameball the Evo Nxt which is the latest version of this ball is somehow even better then a near perfect ball. This ball isn’t the most grippy it gets slick and smooth the newer version somehow keeps the soft touch of the evolution while add a not tacky sticky feel but a soft grip that gets better as the ball gets wet from sweat. Also the ball is notably lighter then the well weighted evolution but slot of people love that if this ball. Either way this ball should be bought by all players if taking the sport seriously or just want the what I feel to be the best INDOOR BALL their are other great options but they are all the same price point of this and this one is just iPhone of basketballs if that makes sense.
