Initially designed for the twilight of his playing career, the RF 01 Pro underwent exhaustive testing and tweaking by Federer, bearing the mark of insights gleaned over one of the most remarkable careers in tennis history. Compared to his RF97 Autograph, the RF 01 Pro has a slightly more forgiving head size, along with a lighter weight and thicker, more aerodynamic beam construction. The upshot is a more explosive weapon, one that is better suited to the speed, spin, and pop of the modern game. This racquet's design is appropriately named SABR, a moniker that epitomizes Federer's attacking style. It includes a powerful carbon fiber layup with Braid FORTYFIVE technology to enhance both dwell time and pocketing while helping the racquet bend in ways that complement the vertical mechanics of the modern game (think spin). It also features foam throughout the racquet to deliver a more solid feel, coupled with a reinforced shaft and yoke for more torsional stability (think less racquet flopping on volleys). Ultimately, the RF 01 Pro is not only a great snapshot of Federer’s evolution; it's also hard to put down.

I was one of the first to order this after the official US launch date. I selected the Pro version based upon the batch of racquets Tennis Warehouse measured for specs. I use TW data as Wilson doesn't publish target specs for swing weight, twist weight, etc.My RF arrived Saturday...awesome! However, when I did a pre-stringing inspection, I found the unstrung swing weight to be 294-295. That implies a string swing weight in the 321-322 range. That is way below the 331 that TW found in their batch. 10 points is a lot. As reference, 321 is where the base RF 01 swing weight (i.e., the $279 model) is claimed to shake out by TW.For one of the most expensive racquets on the market, other than a Yonex Regna, I was really hoping for more. I bought the Blade 104 v9 as soon as it came out and was happy with it. Then the guys at the shop suggested I demo the Wilson RF 01 Pro Tennis Racquet to see if it suited my game better. After a week with the RF, I was sold. The control and precision were on another level, so I went back and bought it. The shop guys definitely know their stuff! If you’re looking to up your game, I highly recommend trying out the RF 01 Pro.

As a long-time RF user, this racket holds up to the legacy Roger established. As the heaviest of the new 01's, the Pro it is still slightly lighter than the previous v14 gen and is designed with better aerodynamics and a similar, yet slightly more forgiving, stiffness factor.

Although I was saddened to see the demise of the old Roger racquet, I do like this a lot so far. It is a bit more forgiving and allow for more speed on the serve. So far so good!
Never been much of a Flat serve kind of player. Prefer a racquet I can throw with a lot of spin. Granted I have not had a new racquet since the K Tour, so going from a 95sq in to 98sq in feels better. Not to mention the RF01 Pro feels as though I can swing lighter, and get the same speed of the K Tour, or swing the same speed and the ball comes off faster with more spin than before.I highly recommend this racquet if you prefer placing your shots with spin
Many things are made to be hard and stiff... this is one that makes everyone feel good. A tall Swiss man to think of too? What's there not to love!
In the last 5-6 years, I’ve played with numerous big-name racquets to include the Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 v13 Autograph. The Wilson RF 01 Pro is by far the best racquet I’ve ever played with. This racquet has it all --- power, spin, control, comfort and stability. Even on shots that I barely get the racquet on --- this racquet returns the ball with power. Compared to other 98 head size racquets at the 11 to 11.4 ounce strung weight, the Wilson RF 01 Pro gives me 20-30% more power. Don’t let the 11.9 ounce strung weight deter you, as this racquet feels light and is easy to swing. If you want to get to the next level this racquet will get you there!!!
If you are an RF 97 User this racquet will be a completely different feel. The sweet spot is not readily available and there is simply not enough plough through. In my opinion its a fail.
if you loved the original prostaff but wished it had xtra power and spin and minimal penalty in control, RF 01 pro is the one! Been playing with it since July 31 [dont ask me how I got it :)]. Cant put it down and the leather grip is very nice.
