Although "Windows 10 Pro" DOES have numerous beneficial features, I'm NOT a 100% fan of this operating system. Nevertheless, finally upgrading from "Windows 7 Pro" (my all-time favourite version) became necessary in order to maintain system compatibility with SOME important software... In order to reduce the "intrusiveness" of "Windows 10," I, almost immediately, had to DISABLE the AUTOMATIC UPDATE feature... and MicroSoft had not made the process of so doing as straightforward as it should have been. I'm still in the process of adjusting to some of the "Windows 10 Pro" shortcomings... but, overall, I'm not unhappy. Windows 10 Pro is a reliable operating systems BUT. I understand that not everybody is an IT savvy person but why oh why does Windows 10 have to install as Window Home in S mode and then be upgraded to Pro? I also dislike being forced to install Teams, One Drive and other such worthless add-ins. (I took those right off). Teams in particular is a resource hog whether it is in use or not. So the initial install went smoothly but then the fun started. First obstacle was that I couldn't install anything that wasn't Microsoft certified (or even download it) because of 'S' mode. Excellent. I wanted this version of Windows because I'd not done my homework on upgrading with the free Windows 11 on my laptop. The Windows 11 install erased the most excellent photo program that came with Windows 10. That photo editing program was the thing I enjoyed most of that version. Actually, was mourning the loss of that program. Didn't realize it was missing from 11 until the time to revert back to the earlier version had passed. Am very pleased with this download and it is just what I wanted.

Who doesn't like getting a custom tower made for one's gaming needs? Well, the person usually putting your dream tower together usually uses a 'free' Windows trail version that usually expires after three to six months of use before it constantly leaves a water-mark on your monitor telling you that you need to activate your version of windows. If you TRY to fix this problem with hacks from online? This water-mark can become permanent or? Least I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. So my current new tower? Started showing me THAT warning... This Professional license was cheap enough and I didn't want the water-mark popping up every time I had my tower on for two plus hours so? GREAT having both the MAC OS and WINDOWS 10 on one machine!

After years of faithful service my old desktop - running VIsta - became too difficult to use since support for the old OS is gone now. I did try - just as I begun grad school - to continue after many years in the PC Windows world to buy a new PC laptop in 2013. I had a HUGE stack of books on my reading list for school and that laptop - running Windows 8 - was a nightmare. I simply didn't want to take a moment of time to learn how to use things I already knew how to use with Microsoft Office so I took that Win 8 laptop RIGHT back to the store and instead purchased my first new Mac. I also use a lot of other graphics software but for those of us who use graphics frequently publisher has it's benefits. SO I purchased Parallels to run Windows on my desktop (and my Mac Laptop too) but needed to have the Windows Operating system to use it. This product works very very well! Windows 10 installed easily on my Mac with Parallels. Since I'd never tried using 2 differentOS on a computer I was concerned about the process but everything worked well together seamlessly. The bonus for me is that with two monitors, I can have BOTH operating systems open side by side while I work. The price was great and the seller started communication ahead of my asking for any assistance. All in all one of the best tech software purchases I've made in a long time. I'm considering buying a second one to upgrade an older Win 7 laptop and my dear old Vista desktop. Both of those also contain perpetual software that I don't want to lose, which is the downside of considering an upgrade on older Windows machines. Great price for Windows 10 and an easy install make this a really great purchase.

Again, seller was excellent. I enlisted the assistance of the Microsoft community and one person gave me the perfect solution. Before disconnecting everything, download Microsoft 10 to an external device or USB drive. Disconnect everything from your PC or laptop except the keyboard and mouse. I mean everything other than the above. Use the USB drive to install to the PC. It went very smooth. It does take some time. I printed the Product key but at this point I did not require it.
