I bought these for work. Most of the time I use aviation snips to cut 016 and 020 aluminum sheets. The main problem that I have with the Wiss offsets is that the nut which helps hold the blades together, continually loosens off. This causes the metal to curl between the blades, leaving an undesired "lip". In some cases, this causes the blades to not cut at all (during precise/short cuts).Another issue is that from new, the spring binds and does not offer a smooth cutting action. Crescent quality is historic with me (I’m now 78 y/o). Being left handed I struggled with straight snips for many years. These snips now make cutting many materials very easy and comfortable. I should have purchased them earlier. BTW, other brands will likely be cheaper but less effective.

I am a career HVAC tech. (Retired). I got fed up with my old pair and bought this pair to replace it. My bad. I should have paid attention to the fact that this is the M6. And I wanted the thinner jaw M7. Oh well. These are good quality and usable anyway.

These are not offset as claimed. Mitre10 should advertise correctly.
When you squeeze them all the way, they don't open back up on their own. I returned these and bought another from Home Depot and they did the exact same thing. This is something I'd expect from Harbor Freight. It says components made globally, so made in China? Next I bought Milwaukee offset aviation snips which work perfect, like the old Wiss offset worked!
The first night I tried them, I could not get them to work... but I tried again and found at first that I was trying to snip too much at one time. if you limit the amount of metal to about a quarter to a half-inch at a time, they get through some pretty thick metal.
The last wiss lefty's lasted forever. I expect these will also. They are razor sharp. Tad longer handles put open the same distance.
These only worked a few months before they won’t work. I only cut 26 gauge metal with them and they won’t cut anymore.
Quality snips that work well, bought as a replacement for a pair of Wiss snips with many hours of use. These snips will not disappoint you.
needed a new pair of offset tin snips. These are working great for a metal roofing project.
