Absolutely adore the style and subtle colors of this shoe. I got the Sea Salt with Sweet Caramel and Light Surf. It's super lightweight, provides very good stability, and serves many purposes. I use them for long walks, errands, fitness, sculpt and dance classes. They have a thick cushion and they are truly like walking on clouds!!!Unfortunately within the first few days of having them, I accidentally broke a liquidy bottle of brown brow mascara that went flying all over the shoes, and could not for the life of me scrub it off. I stuck the shoes in the luke warm machine wash as I do with all my running shoes and let them air dry, however the shoes became quite misshapen afterwards and took 5ish wears to go back to normal shape, hence my 4/5 stars. This is my second pair of the Fresh Foam 1080 V12’s and I absolutely love them!!! I’ve ran 2 half marathons, several 10K’s and some 5’s in them and they’re great for all distances. They would also be great for every day wear because of the great great cushioning and comfort. I also love all the cute colors they come in. I HUGELY rely on these shoes and wear them practically every day, even inside, which means I have to buy them at least every 6 months. I usually buy two so I can change them out. I bought the bright blue pair. Felt great, no problems, took their advice about going down a half size. Big mistake with these black ones. Same shoe, same size, EXTREMELY TIGHT AND UNCOMFORTABLE! I thought they would stretch but they have not. Now I'm stuck with these and horrible foot pain till I can wear them out. The clerk at a well known running shoe store told me sometimes they can be "built" differently. Really? Sounds like pour production practice to me. The new heel design features a lot more padding which kept rubbing on my heels and ankles. I kept pushing through the irritation saying I just needed to "break them in." But it did not improve and my ankles and heels just kept bothering me. I put on a pair of V11s I had laying around and saw a huge improvement. My ankles and heels stopped screaming at me and I was able to enjoy moving. Also the sizing runs large, I had to order half a size down from my usual. However, the soles were well padded and felt great. They were super supportive and I liked that they felt more cushioned than the V11. I hate to spend so much on shoes, but I did and I’m glad!I’ve been trying to get in better shape. As part of this, I’m waking a lot more, adding some jogging. But my feet were hurting! I first bought some OnCloud CloudRunners but they started to squeak non stop after 3 months. I’ve always liked New Balance so decided to give these a try. I’ve had them for a few weeks and they great! Super comfortable when doing a fast walk and slow jog. My only concern is the level of tread seems limited and I hope it hold up.
