I really, really wanted to love this but they caused me a lot of pain. Initially putting them on, they were extremely comfortable and I liked the feel and style of them. After taking them on a test run, these might be the worst shoes I have ever put on my feet. My calves and feet were killing me after two minutes, and I ended up with pretty bad shin splints for the next week or so.This is partly my fault, these just weren't the shoes for my feet. I am new to Asics. The GEL-NIMBUS 26 EXTRA WIDE is the first sneaker in quite some time that I have bought that has revolutionized my life! Yes...those are strong words! But these shoes are amazing. I wore them most of the day yesterday, took a walk with my dog with then, etc., and found them extremely comfortable! I was volunteering for a five-hour event today and chose to wear them for the event. They were so comfortable I felt like I was walking on air! If they made the black version with a black sole, I'd get a 2nd pair. I'm not a fan of all that white rubber on the bottom, so won't get a 2nd pair. Really great sneakers!

I have spent so much money on shoes that were recommended to me by the podiatrist that did my surgery, with no relief. I got my first pair of these gel-nimbus 26 shoes in June and used them for work (minimum of 10k steps per day every day). I did not get a wide, and they fit fine even though I’m a true wide, but I did get holes on the sides where my pinky toes are within 2 months of wear. I decided to order a pair in the same size but in a wide, and I got them today. I opened the box and was kinda confused because they look like a standard width despite the label inside saying wide. I was expecting something noticeably wider, but they feel the same as my normal ones. I really really like these shoes, the cushion is insane, but I don’t know if I can keep buying them every 2-3 months after the holes start. I wish they made these in a different material that was more tough on the top!
I bought these shoes after being fitted at Fleet Feet in February. At first, they seemed great. Despite being on the heavier side, they were very comfortable, and felt like they had decent spring. I wore them for part of my half marathon training and for the race itself. Unfortunately, once I hit about 120 miles of wear, they started giving me blisters. It seems that the cushion in the back of the heal has worn so much that it’s left the fabric loose, which is what’s causing the blisters. I normally get at least 250 miles out of my shoes before I even think about a new pair but already had to buy replacements. I’m very disappointed in the durability. This was my first experience with ASICS running shoes and makes me very hesitant to try the brand again.

ASICS Nimbus are the superior shoe. They are not clunky at all and I feel faster when I run in them. I al also a physician and I wear them for overnight shifts. My feet feel fantastic in this shoes. The Nimbus-26 are an improvement from the Nimbus-25. Same amazing support without the pillowy, slightly bouncy feel of the Nimbus-25. The 26’s are incredibly comfortable and I feel even faster in them without sacrificing the comfort of a more supportive shoe. Did a 15 miler along Boston’s Heartbreak Hills two days ago in the Nimbus-26. PHENOMENAL SHOE! Will be ordering another pair as soon as I ... You won’t think about your feet at all! They are truly amazing and a substantial improvement from the 25! Thank you ASICS!!!.
Just taken delivery of these. It’s my 10/11 pair of Gel Nimbus. Comfortable from the off and a great fit for me straight out of the box. I’m impressed with the slightly improved stability and cushioning as the bulk of my running is on road. As a “senior” older age runner of many years activity these are everything I’ve come to expect from ASICS Gel Nimbus shoes and more, helping to protect my knees and hips.One suggestion, a choice of laces would be good. These come with black but a choice to use white would be great.
I look for simplicity and dependency when I invest in a pair of running shoes. I want one that can support me in all the different types of runs. Nothing complicated. This is my 3rd pair of Gel Nimbus I will keep buying it over and over again. The support, the cushion of the sole and just everything about it is an all around great shoe. I would say best for people who are investing into buying good gear for training for marathons or half’s. No wonder there are 26 versions of this shoe. It just keeps getting better. Expensive but in my case I only use 1 shoe so that’s worth the investment.

The upper that is very comfortable but a lilttle bit too thick. In the summer days your feet get overheated.2. The weight.
