I bought these for interval training. At first I wasn't impressed and it's very difficult to get your foot into this shoe. Also the shoe laces are too short if you tie a runners loop, typical Asics problem.But after about 50km the shoe got "broken in". I find myself grabbing these more and more for speed and interval sessions.The shoe ran hard at first for a shoe with so much cushioning, but gets softer as the km's increase.Definitely not a marathon shoe, more for 5km-21km fast sessions.Overall it is a good shoe that really grows on you.

Great sturdy shoe. I’ve been wearing Metaspeed Skye and Edge for the past three releases so wanted to try something a little cheaper. I owned the first release of the Magic Speed and they are a huge improvement with a very high sole. A lot less spongy than the metaspeeds but ankle has less roll when I run. Slightly stiff around the ankle but hopefully improved with more use.

I've been a big fan of the Magic Speed shoes since they launched their first model. This is my 4th year of Magic with ASICS. I truly like the bright yellow color, it gives me energy. Also I like how responsive the shoe feels and their light weight. However in my opinion their fit in the two newest models is slightly tighter compared to their two first models. Otherwise this is a versatile shoe that works for both running outdoor or on the treadmill, they're perfect for intervals and faster runs, but also nice to run in even with a lower pace.

This is by far the best upgrade Asics have done in a long while. The third edition was good, but more of a interval shoe, with a stiffer feel. Suitable for races and and fast repeats. The fourth one is more built up and bouncy, making it perfect for my everyday choice. No matter if it's a distance run or some fast repeats!

The Magic Speed 4 are your go-to shoe for speedy intervals & road races with their carbon plate, FF Blast Turbo & FF Blast Plus foam, and an overall bouncy & comfortable feel. I have worn the Magic Speed 3 over the past few months and as my first carbon plated shoe I loved them. However, ASICS have really improved the model in the 4 with a more cushioned feel and softer/material upper that makes it feel like a more every day trainer initially but once you get running you can really feel that spring in your step! I'll be wearing these for my speed work during marathon training and any shorter road races I may have in the lead up. I wear the same size in these as I would in other ASICS road shoes and they fit perfectly.
This is my first pair of Magic Speed, and I have found them super comfortable and bouncy, perfect for shorter, faster runs. I will likely use these as racing shoes rather than everyday shoes. They're light and fast, and I love the 'safety yellow/black' color combo! They feel very similar to the Metaspeed Sky. I opted for a full size up from my regular shoe size.
I’ve owned Magic Speeds 2 & 3’s and these are different - in a good way. Brilliant for tempo work, with more cushioning than the previous models. I find these better for slightly longer runs over the 3’s which I still use for intervals/speed work. I own the magic speeds and the Meta speeds and these sit in between the two. To add, these have more of a rocker-style feel over the above.
Magic Speed 4 - another superb sequel to the Magic Speed range. I am a long time lover of them and have all four iterations. I wear them for all my interval sessions and tempo runs. I find with the carbon plate they are extremely responsive, energetic and with the updated FF TURBO cushioning it really is a premium quality shoe.Visually, the eye popping neon Safety Yellow/Black colour way is fabulous to jazz up any running wardrobe, I love it!!Would highly recommend these Magic Speeds 4, I’m obsessed so much so I have just purchased a pair for my husband - 10/10 🌟
My toes and my foot gets numb in this shoes which never happened before in any shoes. Ordered half size bigger to ensure not too small. Feels very hard when running, feels ok when walking. Done couple of runs so far and it’s only good for a short run as 5k. Will keep this shoes for casual wear and maybe short runs. This was my first acics shoes.
