The Arahi 6 D width shoe is almost perfect. One issue is that compared to the Hoka Bondi, I found this model not as roomy in the toe box. The other is the tread - there isn't much! I live in a four season area and find these prone to slipping on trails and icy or slushy spots. Definitely not a winter or mud run shoe!I have bunions and flat feet, and the Arahi cushioning, arch support and overall stability is fantastic. I especially appreciate the rocker construction which helps ease the pressure on my toes over long distances. I usually walk at least 15k per day, and these seem to be holding up nicely.

I absolutely loved the Arahi 6 and would have done a commercial for free! I purchased the 7 and it is like an entirely different shoe. The cushy padding that cradled my foot and made my run a joy was replaced with some hard feeling footbed! The tongue is also thin and not soft and padded like the Arahi 6. In desperation, I tried the Bondi... it was just as hard and I felt like Daffy Duck. My feet were ridiculously wide looking...like I could trip myself. It did not add stability or comfort so the look perplexes me. My knee actually started hurting and I took them off and put on my old Arahi 6....what a treat! Please bring the Arahi 6 back!

Background, I work on my feet, I walk to work. I have metal plates and pins in my right ankle, they have been there since I was a teenager. I was recently diagnosed with Mueller Weiss syndrome. I have previously worn the Bondi with a lot of comfort, but recently as my foot condition has worsened, and my arch is starting to fall, I still need a supportive shoe, I need stability, but I needed the arch to be a hair lower. The Arahi, is incredibly stable and the arch feels more comfortable on my feet. The stability track in these is great, I have a tendency to roll my foot when it feels crunchy, but the stability track in the shoe keeps my feet rolling front to back and overall being less painful. I do have to lace my shoes differently to keep the tops of my feet ... MoreBackground, I work on my feet, I walk to work. I do have to lace my shoes differently to keep the tops of my feet comfortable, and this shoe has a smaller tongue, so with my lacing technique change I need to make sure the tongue is pulled up while I tie my shoes. Overall, this shoe seems to be just what I needed. I took them to my last podiatry appointment, and the podiatrist said they are perfect for my condition.

I've never been excited about how a shoe feels (how it looks is a different story). The goal was always to find the cutest shoes that were the least uncomfortable, and there was always a bit of sacrificing one way or the other. My husband bought me these Hoka Arahi 6 Plein Air/Blue Fog shoes and from the second I put them on I didn't want to take them off. They are super light (I don't understand the lead-feet reviews) and have this perfect bounce that I swear makes it easier to move around. It's like an energy boost for my feet, which boosts my overall energy levels and-at the risk of sounding dramatic- even my mood. I didn't realize shoes affected/had the potential to affect so much until I put these on.I am a teacher and wore them every day to finish out the ... MoreI've never been excited about how a shoe feels (how it looks is a different story). It's like an energy boost for my feet, which boosts my overall energy levels and-at the risk of sounding dramatic- even my mood. I didn't realize shoes affected/had the potential to affect so much until I put these on.I am a teacher and wore them every day to finish out the year (up and down and on my feet all day). I wore them for a week of walking around Disney World and, despite being exhausted at the end of each day, my feet did not slow me down. The only problem is that I don't want to wear another type of shoe, so I look a little stupid on non-jean days. I realize that isn't the fault of the shoes/brand- athletic shoes are obviously designed to look athletic, and they are super cute! When a shoe feels as good as these, it's hard to want to wear my stylish "work" shoes again, though. I ended up buying a black pair to help me look a little more professional on non-Jean days, but I don't think I pulled it off... Maybe they'll expand their line and disguise their athletic shoes in cute "work" shoes.I normally wear a 9.5 shoe when widths are standard (Nike, Brooks), but I ordered a 9 wide (9D) and it's perfect!
I bought these shoes (along with 3 other shoes) in a size 9. The arch of the shoe was oddly placed and dug into my foot in a very painful way. I typically wear an 8.5 regular. It gave my toes the wiggle room they needed The stability is great I felt that my foot was supported and had great grip on the floor, However, the frame of the shoe was digging into the arch of my foot. I decided to find a store that sold Hoka brand and try them in-store to see if the other sizes or regular/wide would be better. I tried 9 pairs of shoes from this brand and they all did the same thing. I started to think I was going crazy and maybe my feet were just weird. I had my mother and friend try the shoes as well and they had the same complaint that it dug into their arch. I recommend ... MoreI bought these shoes (along with 3 other shoes) in a size 9. I recommend if you want to buy this brand that you find a store and try it on and save yourself the hassle of paying hundreds+ of dollars and having to return it. Like I did and play a game of ordering more and returning them. I would not recommend this shoe if you have not tried this brand before. After trying to see if this was just a few people's issues I have found multiple complaints and Readit threads about this issue.
I had heard about how fabulous Hokas were for a few years now...before COVID....but I never could get myself to a store here to actually try on a pair. Then, recently, I read an article (in Forbes magazine I believe) which was rating shoes that were great for heel eversion/pronation and walking.I was dismayed that there was nowhere on the site to see how Hoka's sizing is in respect to other companies (Merrell, Columbia, etc) for easier comparison, so I ordered the size I have used for the shoes I own.NOT true to size at all! the shoes were snug fitting..too short.I was dismayed at how "cheaply" constructed the shoe is...yet, I wanted to actually wear a pair so I sent mine back for an exchange for 1/2 size larger.I will await these and see...Also disappointed ... MoreI had heard about how fabulous Hokas were for a few years now...before COVID....but I never could get myself to a store here to actually try on a pair. Grabbed these on sale out of curiosity. The onlycolor left in my size were the lilac and mint colored ones. Wasn’t sure if I would like that color way in person, but I actually love it. They are super cute which makes wearing them even more fun. These are my first true stability shoes. I’ve run in them a couple of times and felt very comfortable. I didn’t feel myself over pronating like I’ve been told that I do. I felt very secure and balanced while running. I’ve also worn these during strength training. The stability factor was really great during leg focused exercises because I didn’t feel like my ankles or feet were wobbly. They helped me maintain balance and form during lunges and squats. Also, the width was great for me in the medium width. My feet are a ... MoreGrabbed these on sale out of curiosity. The onlycolor left in my size were the lilac and mint colored ones. My feet are a little wider than normal and these are not narrow cut like many other brands. I won’t need to replace these for a long time, but I’m hoping their successor, Arahi 7, will be just as great.
I bought this for my 84 year old mother in law who has some foot issues which make shoe fits challenging. I wear Cliftons and love them and she liked the fit of those, but not the wider base of the soles under the toe box. She was afraid she would clip the sides and trip when she was walking. I bought her the Arajis after reading online that they were a supportive all day shoe with good arch support, but the soles didn't flair out under the toe box. I bought a wide and she liked the shoe and the support, but after wearing them the outsides of her feet would be red from the toe box being just a tiny bit too firm for her. I wear them now (same size) and they seem like a good all day shoe. If they soften up a bit after harder wear from me, she may actually like them ... MoreI bought this for my 84 year old mother in law who has some foot issues which make shoe fits challenging. I purchased this shoe in black from a local retailer, but they didn't have it in the light blue. So I ordered the same shoe, same size, in blue directly from Hoka. However, the 2 shoes are different even though they should be the same. I was having difficulty tying the blue shoes ordered from Hoka because I had a hard time getting the laces over the tongue. The tongue seemed too short. Then, I realized I did not have that problem with the black shoes purchased locally. I put one of each on my feet and then I could see a big difference in tongue length.I called Hoka, but the person I talked to said the problem was probably with the retailer shoe, not the one purchased online from Hoka. I don't think he believed there was actually a problem with the tongue length. So I told him I would not be buying any shoes online again. But he said I should only buy online directly from Hoka; the shoe I bought at a retailer (which I like much better) is probably incorrect. Buying at the retailer I'll be able to see if there is a problem with the tongue. Even looking at the photo of this shoe I can see mine do not have as long a tongue. So I would recommend the shoe, but would suggest purchasing at a retailer so you can see what you're getting.
I bought these a few months ago after struggling with some foot issues which I needed to see a podiatrist for. They said the Hoka brand was good for my specific issues due to the rocker sole and I already had the Hoka Bondi’s for running which I liked. I wanted a pair for more everyday use that would be a less bright colour than my turquoise Bondi’s so this grey seemed like a good choice and I had heard good things about the Arahi. Unfortunately even though I would say I have quite an average width foot I find these incredibly narrow, to the extent that after prolonged wear they even give me oedema in my ankles from how compressed my feet are. I really should have returned them but didn’t because at the time I just needed something for my foot issues and the wide size was not available anywhere. I am surprised at the reviews from other people saying these run wide. Either their feet must be very narrow or the shoes they received must fit differently to what I received because I have never had such tight shoes. I gave them 2 stars because they do look good and I haven’t had issues with the material but true sizing seems way off.
