Everyone said they run small - good - normally a 7.5 in athletic shoes, got an 8 - BUT - the sole is sooo thick and bulky, I felt like I was wearing monster foot wear! It looked awkward and felt awkward, too. I prefer a lighter sole that does not go over the foot bed and make you feel like you were wearing snow shoes! This went back s soon as I received it - same day! I was sad b/c I heard so many positive things about this brand - guess this style was not for my feet. In a Tory Burch (for reference) I wear the 7.5 and they look perfect - same with NB, Nike, etc. In shoes I am a perfect 8 in TOD's, Ferragamo and Stuart Weitzman. It has been recommended by orthopedic surgery and physical therapy that I wear shoes with high support when exercising because of this. Couldn’t wait for the new Arabic 7 to be available. I’ve worn nothing but the Arahi since they came out and had multiple pairs of each version. I wear them to walk mostly and they have been super. I have a narrow foot and the heel has been appropriately narrow with a bit wider toe box. Cushion has varied from version to version but has been a nice balance between soft and firm. Got these shoes from Fleet Feet today and immediately took them for an indoor walk at the local rec center. After buying & trying this shoe, I agree with the negative reviews. Cannot believe HOKA would drop the BEST part of the Arahi 6 shoe--the amazing out-of-the box comfortable cushioning! After a short walk in the 7's, my old foot pain returned, pain that I NEVER experienced while wearing the 6's. I bought 6 pair of Arahi 6's in 2023 and was looking forward to buying more in different colors since I wear them all the time. Now, I have to search for another shoe that feels like the Arahi 6. HOKA, please don't auto-respond suggesting we try the Gaviota shoe. Already tried those & didn't like them. Hard/firm cushion in those. BRING BACK THE ARAHI 6 and I promise, I will continue my buying spree!

There's nothing good about this shoe!I received the Ahari 6 as a gift in 2022. I was elated when I took my first walk in them. I finally found a shoe that actually had stability supporting my flat feet and pronation. I've bought a pair every 3 months since then and even purchase a pair of Bondis as a gift. That's how much confidence I had in the HOKA brand. When I went to place my last order, to my disappointment there was no Arahi 6. It's been my experience that whenever a shoe is undergoes a model change, the style is degraded and that's what has happened to the Arahi 7This shoe gives me the same stability, cushion and flexibility as it's precedessor. The Arahi 6 made me feel like I was walking on air.Please bring back the Arahi 6.
