They weren't kidding when they told me this show provides the most cushion! These feel like mattresses, very springy and so much squish. That being said, they hurt my feet. I've noticed that my left toe and side of my foot hurts when wearing these. There may be a break in period because the more I wear them, the better they feel. I didn't have this problem with the Clifton, which is not as cushioned. I do not regret my purchase but I prefer the feel of the other style so far. I'm still experiencing some leg aches and fatigue. Is it possible that TOO much cushion isn't a good thing?

Mine are the 8 series. I have bone on bone pain in my knees. I also have spine and neck issues. These shoes are like walking on air. I have walked more in the last 2 weeks then I have in the last year. I just can’t say enough about them. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 shoes and the size 9 fits me perfectly. These do tend to run narrow, so if you have a wider foot, go wide. They have a size chart you can print out to make sure you get the perfect fit. 30 day trial is another plus for this brand. They have so many fun colors too. I don’t know about you, but if your shoes make you happy, you are gonna get up off that couch and move. I highly recommend these shoes.

After a badly broken ankle in 2020 and a stress heel fracture in 2021, I've had to do PT and foot exercises to resume any sort of running. I've purchased Hokas for the past few years both for running and everyday wear (walking, weight training, elliptical machine). This pair was used for everyday wear. They were really comfy, but after 5 months of wear, the padding in the interior heel areas of both shoes tore out exposing the hard plastic and the mid part of the bottom of the shoe started to come off (see images). For as pricey as these shoes are, I don't think an everyday wear shoe should be coming apart like that particularly since I've never had that issue with other Hokas or other brands of shoes I've worn (namely, Brooks and Saucony).

I had really high hopes for these shoes after reading numerous reviews and receiving recommendations. They are a very comfortable shoe with lots of cushion so I Could see if you have a job that requires long hours on your feet these would be good. They are wider which was a plus, as I have really bad bunion pain on one foot. I’ve been searching for a shoe that was a bid wider with more cushion on the ball of the foot, they were ok for that..However, after giving these a good try I have to give them away. The heel sits so high in the shoe it becomes uncomfortable when walking. They also run quite larger and even if I tie them super tight because the heel sits so high they constantly slid up and out of the shoe while walking. The top of the shoes is also not super comfortable on the foot. Again I needed them a bit tighter so they would nt feel like they were falling off but that didn’t help. The too high heel that doesn’t sit comfortably inside the shoe and it ruins the padded comfort of the soles unfortunately.
I've been a die hard Nike fan since I was 12 - Air Pegasus and I have been friends a very long time. My friends have been after me to try Hoka for years. I finally did, and wish I had years ago. I have broken my ankles, twisted, fractured, you name it since childhood (I'm an active woman in my early 50s). After my last ankle injury I thought that was it, I'd never run again, muchless walk long distances. Bone on bone rubbing, etc was mildly painful after a 25 min easy walk. I didn't expect miracles with these shoes, but I feel like that's what I got. I've been walking 60 min 2x a day for over a month - no issues. I started my first run this week in over 2 years. I feel confident in the cushion. My ankles are always going to be an issue, but I feel like these shoes ... MoreI've been a die hard Nike fan since I was 12 - Air Pegasus and I have been friends a very long time. This is my 5th pair of Hoka One Ones, after receiving a diagnosis of bone-on-bone osteoarthritis in BOTH feet, which made it increasingly more difficult to even walk my dog, much less attempt running. My doctor prescribed a lifetime of wearing nothing but Hoka One Ones forevermore. (Best thing he could've done for me!) These shoes are so well-structured that they're literally like walking on little clouds. Each foot is perfectly supported and so comfortable, I'm beyond happy with them... verging on 'transcendently delighted'. They ARE a bit bulky in appearance, but that's a VERY small price to pay for the comfort and support. The difference in wearing any of my Hokas- especially these- compared to my former admittedly more stylish, less bulky footwear, is like night ... MoreThis is my 5th pair of Hoka One Ones, after receiving a diagnosis of bone-on-bone osteoarthritis in BOTH feet, which made it increasingly more difficult to even walk my dog, much less attempt running. Every time I take even a one day 'vacation' from Hoka-wearing, my feet complain loudly. And these came in a lovely, soft shade of grey with peach laces- the very LAST pair of grey Hokas available in my size. I highly recommend them.
My daughter has had sesamoiditis for 2 years and it has been very painful. Suggested to wear these. She was very hesitant as she didn't like the appearance. It got so bad she finally agreed after seeing an orthopaedic surgeon. She wears these as her school shoes. She still does the same amount of sport with shoes specific to her sport, but finds these greatly relieve the pressure on her sesamoids in between training and games and she said she barely notices any pain anymore. She also wears the hokka recovery slider around the house. It is not a complete cure and she has to wear a moon boot for 6 weeks when her season has finished, but these have alleviated the pain to the point she has taken up running again and can continue netball. She was in a large amount of pain continuously before wearing these and would walk on the outside of her foot to take pressure off of her sesamoids. They have been very effective for her and money well spent. We had previously paid for 4 orthotics and different shoe recommendations within the space of a year, with no benefit at all.
I’ve had chronic foot pain & plantar fasciitis for over a year. This is the third brand of running shoes I’ve bought in the last 5 months to try to get some relief. I’ve been wearing the Hoka Bondi 7 for about 2 weeks & I can now walk 7 kms with the dog again without limping home. My feet are starting to feel a lot better. There was no 'break in' period required. They fit perfectly & are very comfortable. They are not overly attractive looking, but I’m not wearing them in a fashion show. I opted to go with Hoka Bondi 7 rather than the Hoka Bondi 8 because most of the reviews I read indicated people were less happy with the newer version. They are expensive running shoes, but for me they are well worth the money & I couldn’t be happier with them.
These are the worst shoes I have ever worn. The quality control is terrible. I have bought two pair. The first pair were marked as wide but were not. I put them up against a wide pair and they were noticeably smaller. The second pair one shoe was put together wrong causing the insert not to fit. This caused blisters along the arch support. The other shoe was cut wrong and was noticeably smaller than its pair. I know other people who have since told me they too had issues with Hoka shoes. Don't believe all they hype.
