Whether you're training for a marathon or just enjoying a casual run, the HOKA Clifton 9 is the ideal all-round running shoe. Experience the ultimate performance of the Clifton 9 every day. Midsole To make your runs comfortable, HOKA has added a CMEVA midsole that provides plenty of cushioning and effective protection while running. By placing the transition zone behind the metatarsals, the Early stage Meta-Rocker geometry contributes to a quick transition of the feet. With a smoother stride and a faster transition to the forefoot, you will feel more explosive. Upper A mesh upper makes the Clifton 9 highly breathable and comfortable to wear while running. The shoe's pleated tongue is attached to the upper on both sides, preventing debris from entering the shoe and keeping the tongue centered. Outsole The outsole is made of durabrasion rubber and has a coarse profile for a lot of grip on every type of surface. Zones of abrasion rubber have been added to the heel and forefoot for improved durability. The geometry of the outsole is designed in such a way to guarantee inherent stability and an efficient stride. Order and discover the versatility of the HOKA Clifton 9 within a few days.

I bought the new Clifton 9 in the cute pink color. I have owned multiple pairs of Clifton’s before and have been very happy with them.. no break in time, comfortable from first try on. When I first tried these on, I felt something was off. They just didn’t feel right.. more firm, rubbing my ankles. I wore them for 2 weeks to see if I could break them in but my feet ACHED when I wore them and hurt after I took them off too. So sad that they changed up these shoes. They are TTS as my others were but I just couldn’t keep wearing them as they hurt SO much.

I have loved the Clifton since version 1. Over the years they have tinkered with the formula. Some versions were better than others. I find the 9 a move in the right direction- back toward the roots of the shoe - light and soft. This shoe is. Both of those things with a supportive upper and a roomy toe box. It isn’t a very stable shoe and the sole is likely to wear quickly - but those are expected worthwhile trade offs for this type of trainer.

Iam a nurse who works 12 hour shifts and needed a comfortable and supportive shoe. Purchased pair clifton 9 two weeks ago. They have decent support which helped bottom of foot. However they are not soft and comfortable. They are very stiff and let me tell you they run small and narrow and purchased half soze larger than I normally wear. Typically shoes are big on my heel and upper foot but I need length. If your feet are wide at all these would not be for you. The shoes are rubbing too much against ankle and too of foot. Plus the toe is somewhat pointed leaving little room in the toe box. I am disappointed because I hear of many people who love their hokas. My husband too he wears the clufton 8. So clifton 9 was a mistake

So clifton 9 was a mistake
These are my 5th pair of Cliftons and there definitely is a difference. The toe box feels roomier than the 8's did, but I didn't have that sink in, ultra-comfy, "Aaah"-like experience when I first put them on. There feels like there is more bounce to them, and that makes them definitely feel more responsive than the 7's or 8's did. My first run was four miles--I don't run any other pace besides slow--and while comfortable, they felt like they need to be broken in, which I didn't have to do with previous models. I still like them, though, and hopefully the more miles I put on them, the cushier they'll feel. For reference I am a 148lb female.
I have Clifton 8's and I feel a good cushion when I have them on. These are supposed to be more cushion but I'm not feeling it at all. These feel hard underfoot to me. Nothing like the 8's. I have a problem with the ball of my left foot. It hurts quite a bit of the time. It does not hurt at all in the 8's but the 9's it hurts every step. Again, not feeling the cushion at all. I would not buy these. I already returned them. They are very cute and stylish but when that's said and done that's about all the good I can say about it.
I have short feet with a narrow heel but wide toe area. It is very difficult to find a match for the structure of my feet. I had always wanted to try Hoka and when this one came out, I went with it because of its wide availibility and weight. It is extremely light, I do not feel that I wear them at all. I wear 6.5 wide and it is perfect for me. However, avoid wearing it under the rain, it absorbs water so fast that it is unbelievable.
I got my daughter a pair of Clifton 9 since she starts running w her friends at school. I was worry that it will be too small and will not be comfortable from some of the review I read. I personally have two pairs of Hoka. Clifton 8 and mach 5. And I want my kid to have one. She got them yesterday. Try it on and went out for a 2 miles run. Her comments were. Perfect fit. Run likes she is on cloud. She is a size 6 and I got her a size 6.
These are my first pair of Hoka shoes, so while I can’t compare them to previous versions, I can say they’re super comfy and it feels like you’re walking on a cloud! I was a size 8 in my previous brand of running shoes and got a size 8 in these and they’re true to size. I didn’t have any knee or back pain after wearing them for a long walk and I did with my old shoes. My only complaint is that they look like they’ll get dirty very easily, but that’s to be expected with a white shoe.
I present to you my new daily running shoe. My last pair of shoe were the saucony Kinvara 8. I had order the new kinvara 12 but they didn’t fit my feet well. I needed new shoes and I found these. What a nice surprise, perfect combinaison of confort and performance with a toe box wide enough to fit my big hallux valgus(runner feet). I used to order 7.5 us women but for them I needed to take half a size smaller(so a 7). Would absolutely recommend. I run between 5k to 15k very easily without any problem.
Excellent shoe. I have arthritis on my left foot and these shoes have helped me. I am able to do my errands without the pain. I love them ♥️I am getting ready to order my 2nd pairI did go to a special foot store to have my foot measured and found out my left foot is wider . I think because of the arthritis. I normally wear a 6Fleet feet store to measure or order also
