I bought these for my girlfriend's 60th birthday. This is not her first pair of Hokas; I think these are pair #6. She had purchased another expensive shoe that was marketed as being very comfortable for walking and running and the shoe was rubbing against the back of her heel. I didn't know this when I purchased her new Hokas, so it was really just good coincidental timing. She loved the color of the new Hokas and immediately put them on for a grocery store trip. As usual, the Hokas came through and she called back to say her Hokas were perfect; very comfortable and like walking on air.

I really like these shoes. This is the third pair I have bought. I would recommend buying a half size up. I did this on the last 2 I purchased and they fit so much better. I didn't know they would exchange your shoes after wearing them. But now I do and I think this is a great way to do business. I love the color schemes they offer, you can be bold or plain! The comfort, fit and support of these shoes are amazing. I recommend wearing a few hours a day to break the shoes in. Now I wear them for 12 hour shifts. I cut hair so I'm on my feet all day but the support these shoes offer your feet will feel great. I have nothing but good things to say about Hoka shoes! Go buy the ones that scream your name. Maybe buy 2 you won't go wrong!!

The 8 and 7.5 seem the best. The 7.5 fits my feet better but the 8 seems more comfotable initially. The 8 seems to bother my arch more but the 7.5 isn't perfect for my arch either. Sadly, these are not going to work for me long term. I'm going to have to go to a local store where I can try on and test shoes. No RoadRunner nearby :(

This shoe is very uncomfortable. I don't understand how Hoka gets these great reviews. The left shoe, in particular, feels like it was made incorrectly/is a reject shoe. Specifically - the curvature of the shoe makes my toes force the side walls to their maximum stretching point. I am a regular width shoe person, definitely not a wide. Previously, I have purchased Brooks and Saucony and have never had any problems. The only reason I switched to Hoka was due to all the reviews for cushioning and heel pain. Definitely not worth the price tag and definitely does not live up to the hype.
I wear a 10.5 and these fit perfectly! And they're so soft, I feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I can't believe I've lived my entire life and I'm just now discovering this amazing shoe. I need a large toe box and long enough that my big toe doesn't hit the front of the shoe and this shoe is perfect in every way. And it's sliming on my feet, they don't make me look like I'm wearing clown shoes (because my feet are so big for a woman). And I love the color!! I was disappointed that the glue was defective where it attaches the mesh to the rubber sole, but Hoka doesn't charge you return shipping which I think is amazing in itself, and returns/exchanges are super easy I just exchanged them and I'm waiting for the new pair. I love these so much I ordered three pair! :-)
This is my first time purchasing a pair of Hoka kicks. I'm usually a Nike or New Balance type of girl but I thought these were cute and I liked the color combo. Unfortunately I had to return them the first time I ordered them because they were too big. I usually wear a size 6 1/2 in women but they were really big once I tried them on. I almost thought I got a men's size shoe because of how big they felt. I returned them and got a 6 instead and honestly, they still feel a tad big but better. I have to break them in to really be able to say if I like them but so far so good. I will write another review later to update you guys. Customer service is excellent though so I had to problem exchanging them.
I purchased the Clifton 8 on sale. I wasn't sure I would like it because I purchased it in the past and wasn't a big fan of that model. I thought for the sale price I could wear it for errand days. I love the bondi and have been wearing it for years. I put the Clifton 8 on and it has this weird hard piece between my heel and my midsole on the outside of my foot. I immediately thought this won't work as I noticed it every time I took a step. I do not like to send purchases back so I decided to give it a try for my 12 hour shift at the hospital. I took my bondi as a back up. For the first hour or two I felt that piece I mentioned but after several hours I didn't notice it at all. I purchased a wide width because I wanted the extra room which in reality is only like 1/8 of an inch but it definitely felt good to have that extra room. After 12 hours I didn't feel any fatigue in my foot other than the fact that I walk on them for 12 hours a day at work. I still love my bondi but the Clifton has a slimmer and nicer appearance compared to the bondi that is plush and has that heel height that you get with plush cushion. I like the plush cushion of bondi but the Clifton 8 appears to work just fine with the wider width even though the heel isn't as cushioned as the bondi. I would definitely recommend the Clifton 8 I don't know about whether the Clifton 9 is the exact same shoe as the 8 but it's worth trying. I have plantar fasciitis and I have supination on my right foot that is pronounced. I don't run but I do walk about 13-14 thousand steps a day at work. As a Respiratory Therapist who is on my feet the majority of my day I would say the Clifton is a good choice. I would like to try the Rocket but the price is a little out of my price range. Definitely a good purchase.
I have a myriad of foot problems and my Doctor recommended a couple of things. One was the purchase of a brand of shoes I wasn't yet familiar with. I purchased my first pair of HOKA shoes and I am in love. I walk daily and have several pair of tennis shoes but almost solely wear my HOKA's. I have high arches and wide feet and these shoes are amazingly comfortable. I just bought my second pair and I am certain, not my last. I don't normally order shoes o line because my feet are not the same and I like to try them on first. After reading reviews, I ordered my normal size and they fit like a glove. Very happy with my purchase.
I posted a request to friends on Facebook for recommendations on the best shoes for nurses who are on their feet a lot. I wanted to buy a good pair of shoes for my daughter who is a nurse. I'd say 90% of those who responded suggested HOKA. So not only did I buy her a pair (haven't given them to her yet) I bought a pair for myself! They are incredibly comfortable and I used to be a runner so I've tried many shoes. I wear a size 9 and I'd say they feel slightly bigger than a 9 but not so much that I'd downsize. One suggestion to HOKA is to stop making the logo so huge in the shoe. I bought a pair with the smaller logo and don't think I'd choose a pair with the big logo. It just looks obnoxiously big.
I am extremely disappointed in the Clifton 8s. I usually buy Brooks for work and everyday wear, but I had heard good things so I decided to try Hokas. When I first began wearing them, I noticed that they squeaked with every step. I thought it would go away as I broke them in, but it did not. I have been wearing them for about five months and they already have holes worn into the fabric. The bottom of the sole has begun peeling up in some places so badly that it almost trips me at times. Overall, compared to the Brooks I have had, which usually last over a year, the Hokas are much worse quality. I would not recommend them and will not be purchasing them again.
