Pathetic Packaging. Container has four 5mm diameter holes and the ground contents clump - that is, do not flow!. Three other 30g spices from the Select WOW range gave identical jar caps, apart from the colour, and are also subject to differing tendency for clumping. Already a favourite! This little winner was already a resident at our house. I really love the Woolies brand of herbs and spices and this All Spice is no exception! To me, there is absolutely no difference between the Woolies range, and the named brand. So. . . why would I pay any extra? The short answer is. . . I wonât be! AllSpice can been used for sweet and savoury dishes so itâs a great all rounder. I am grateful that I now have this sample to replace the one I already have in use! Thank you Bunch!

Great taste. So i got to try this first time and i had to search online what does it contain. To my surprise it is just one spice known as 'all spice'. I has combined flavour of a few spices. So i was happyto find one spice that gives flavour of different spices. I used it in savoury meal and loved the aroma and taste. I will soon try to use in baked goods too. I will hav ethis as a regular in my pantry.

Great. Funny enough, I don't use mix spice much, so I was hesitant to pick this one up. I'm so glad I did though. Complete coincidence but I tried a new recipe the very same day I picked it up and it needed mixed spice. I had a little happy dance and went on to complete the recipe without having to run out to get mixed spice! Oh and, I loved the recipe so I guess I'll be buying more of this now.
Just as good as other brands. This is probably one of the most used spices in my spice cabinet. I use it for savoury meals and for baking (cookies and cake). The Woolworths brand is just as good as any other brand in my experience, and is much cheaper. So I buy it because it's good quality and good value for money. I love the big A on the packaging - makes it stand out and easy to find the spice on the shelf. The packaging was easy to open and I like the split options for use - a pouring side, and a sprinkling side - very convenient. Wouldn't change anything about this product. Thank you for the sample Bunch!
Not the cheapest. We use quite a bit of allspice in baking, due to a family member's allergy to cinnamon (we use it as a substitute). This product is fine, but we'd prefer larger jars, or bags to refill the jars. The homebrand from another supermarket is also cheaper per 100g (and in a bigger jar) which makes that one a more attractive purchase.
Good for many uses. I used this today to sprinkle some on my meat and also in the cake i baked. It imparted a nice flavour. I also sprinkled some on my toast with butter this morning for something different. I liked it thoroughly. The product was easy to open and use. I found it easier to unscrew the lid to get my teaspoon inside the jar than use the large opening for fear of overdosing the product. Price was ok but can be bought cheaper elsewhere. Packed in Oz from imported ingredients? Which country. I donât like this statement on foods and generally donât buy items with such ambiguous statements.
A savoury spice. A sealed top spice jar of finely ground Allspice Pimento. Rated 4. 4. Packed in Australia from Imported ingredients. This spice blends well in savoury meals such as in home made tomato bolognaise sauce where it was used. It can be used in meat loaf, vegetable patties for a depth of flavour. Thank you.
Average. Nothing out of the ordinary. Easy to dispense from jar. Long shelf life. Great little bottle to reuse and refill. âMade from Imported Productsâ ???? Iâve noticed this more and more along with âIngredients from multiple countriesâ. I want to know where from. I find it a bit odd and not transparent hence the low score.
Same taste yet cheaper. Woolworths All Spice Ground 30g is $0. 70 / 10G ($ 2. 10 jar) and so much cheaper than the name brand at $1. 18 / 10G ($3. 55 jar) yet tastes the same. The packaging is very smart displaying the spice in the large letter âAâ. This makes it easy to locate on the shelf in alphabetical order. In fact, all the âspicesâ in this range are displayed in their first letter. The design looks much better than the name brand design. The green lid is divided into 2 parts, one for shaking, the other for larger quantities enabling it to be shaked onto a spoon. You do need to unscrew the green lid to peel off the safety top before use. The spice comes with a very long use by date, as you would expect being a spice. I like to use it in my Egyptian goulash (spiced beef pie), yummy!Yes, I have purchased this spice in the past and will continue to along with the other spices in the Woolworths range. Along with their great taste the packing is very smart with the large letters making each easy to locate in my cupboard.
