Excellent baking almonds. I use these to make biscotti and they are always perfect. Bakes wonderfully and affordable if you only need a small amount. I usually have some in the cupboard. These aren’t for snacking so I only recommend for cooking purposes.

Great Australian Product - Good price and great taste. Bought these to use and add to Christmas Cake. They were great. Well priced compared to others. I like that they are Australian (and clearly displayed proudly on the packaging). They were great quality and fresh and certainly worked well in the Christmas Cake. Will definitely become a regular purchase now whenever I need more!

A bit nutty for Almonds. I must admit I have had this sample in my cupboard for sometime as we deal with covid I have been busy at work and have not had time for baking. Being on annual leave this week I decided now was the time. Well I opened the lovely blue packet with the see through window to find scrumptious blanched almonds to add to my cake baking. I did sneak a few for a little snack along the way. I don’t know why I waited so long to try but for some reason I didn’t think of these as snack nuts but only for baking. I was wrong. Great for a quick late afternoon pick me up Snack. I added some to a fruit cake I made and they were lovely. I also made chicken and almond stir fry and they added a lovey crunch. Almonds are so much nicer without the skin! Based on the packaging, I could tell it was a baking product and that is exactly where I found it. However, within this section, because all the packagings looked the same, it was slightly difficult to differentiate. I wished Woolworths would sort that section by variety?Fantastic that these are 100% Australian almonds I used these in almond cookies and they turned out great. They were lightly roasted and had a sweet, strong almond flavour with a slight crunch. I also tried one without roasting just to see what it was like. It wasn't as crunchy but wasn't terrible. You could probably get away with using it in a salad too. I also liked the usage suggestion on the packaging. These are more expensive than regular roasted almonds but that is expected for the extra work required to remove the skin. Most baking require blanched almond and they are hard to come by. Would buy again if a recipe calls for it.

Made a lovely sauce thickener. It’s great that these blanched almonds are an Australian product. These nuts were easy enough to find in the baking section, however, for some, the packaging is not too distinct and doesn’t stand out to well. Opening this product was easy enough but I did take note that a resealable bag would be appreciated. I used these blanched almonds as a sauce thickener to a chicken dish I was cooking. First I toasted them, then puréed them in my food processor then added a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil, making a paste. They gave my dish a lovely nutty flavour. These almonds were a tasty sample and I would definitely purchase again.

Top Aussie Blanched Almonds. Superb 100% Aussie Almonds. Easy to find on the shelf in the baking aisle next to the other Woolworths baking nuts and seeds. Nice Light blue packet which is easy to spot and well written with a window to view the blanched almonds. Priced at $4. 00 for 120gm so around $33 kg which is reasonable considering they are blanched and ready to go for your baking and cooking needs. The size packet seems just right for my baking needs without wastage or long term sitting in the pantry. They are easy to chop and crunch up and add to any favourite baking dish or savoury item. Very Versatile Product. I loved these blanched almonds, not just because they are 100% Australian with a 5 health rating. I love the versatility of these almonds as you can process it to make almond meal, dry toast or roast, add to your favourite stir fry or curry & great in baking. It's also a great idea to use this as almond meal to thicken curries. So many uses!I used these lightly toasted which brought out the wonderful nutty component in a stirfry instead of using cashew nuts. It was a hit, really enjoyed the flavour and crunch. * Product of Australia* 5 Health star rating* Great price point at $4* Packaging is return to storeAfter reading some reviews, I'd encourage Woolworths to add a small spiel on ideas for using blanched almonds on their packaging. Bland. Found with the rest of the packaged nuts this particular product didn’t stand out to me as it was amongst other nuts with similar sky blue packaging. Luckily there is a see through window on the packaging which allows you to see the nuts that are inside. The almonds themselves are very bland with a creamy texture and lacked crunch. I think these would be best for cooking with or including in a salad. Although healthy I couldn’t eat these on their own. Even my husband who loves nuts wasn’t impressed with how bland they are and would rather them roasted or salted. I wouldn’t purchase these again.

Lovely fresh blanched almonds. These blanched almonds are an absolutely great product, that I highly recommend, my review is based on the following. 1. They were nice and fresh. 2. They were exactly as stated beautifully blanched almonds. 3. They had a really nice crunch when bitten into indicating their freshness. 4. They make a quick healthy snack to have on the go. 5. They will be great for pounding into a lovely paste to thicken a curry. 6. They will make a great addition to homemade biscuits. The downfalls. 1. The packet unfortunately wasn’t resealable this can however be overcome by storing what is not needed in a resealable Armada bag for a later date. 2. I found that to recycle the packet I needed to take the empty packet back to my Woolworth’s store which ... MoreLovely fresh blanched almonds. Nice sized packet for baking or snacking. I really like the product and its presentation. Also I found it easily in the baking aisle with other nuts and dried fruits. I LOVE 100% AUSSIE ALMONDS and it clearly states it on the front of the packaging. There is a clear window for you to see the fresh nuts inside. The portion is ideal for a one baking dish, snack or add in to pilaf. It has a 5 star health rating and no artificial nasties, so big thumbs up from me. I liked the fresh crunch of the raw almond, but it is best eaten lightly toasted. I toasted mine in the oven and put it in almond bread. Will definitely buy again!!!!!
