An okay drink. I do buy the Apple juice in this brand all the time, so was happy to see this pop up as a sample. Thanks for that Bunch. But that's where my nice comments stop, was just an okay drink and I did find it slightly sweeter than the plain Apple one. Has a big fat ZERO of Aussie ingredients in it, as does the apple one but I much prefer that one. It is packed in Australia though. Sadly this juice brand has gone up in price by $0. 15 cents but I do understand why, would probably enjoy this used as a mixer with gin and also in Summer. Thanks again for the sample Bunch but it's not one I'll be repurchasing, grandson didn't like this at all and Mrwas a bit 'meh' with the taste of it. Cheers to everyone who has a read, have a good one all.

Best Icy Cold. EDIT APRIL 2023I popped three small bottles in the freezer and took one out recently - today I had it with Gin and loads or ice and juice from a lime - Delicious Sweet but so good with the lime on a gorgeous sunny dayMARCH 2023The packaging is pretty standard for on the shelf juice and generally I don't buy juice and NEVER off the shelf juice. Deliciously Fruity. While I normally don’t buy a lot of fruit juice and what little I do is fresh, I had no trouble locating this Apple and Blackcurrant juice in the aisle that stocks the long life juice and milk. It was easy to spot on the middle shelf because of its bright label and the juice’s vibrant colour. I like the narrower shape of the container, it’s more refrigerator space friendly, makes for handy storage on the door and the thin neck also makes for ease of pouring. The plastic container and lid are recyclable or can be washed and reused, not only for cold liquids but for rice, and the smaller shaped types of pasta as well. The large 2 litre pack is very economical at only $2 and if you have the recommended serving size of 250mls you’ll get 8 serves. ... MoreDeliciously Fruity. This reconstituted juice has a Health Star Rating of 5, contains nothing artificial and importantly has no added sugar and is a source of Vitamin C. On opening the bottle, I was met with a delicious fruity smell and the taste was equally as good. The juice was a nice balance of sweet with a touch of tartness from the blackcurrants but flavour wise, it was definitely the blackcurrant that was predominant, even though the juice is made up of 94. 8% apples and only 4. 9% blackcurrants. The juice after opening is to be refrigerated and consumed within 5-7 days, or you could freeze it in ice cube trays or add fresh fruit and make your own ice blocks, perfect for those hot summer days. I made a Raspberry jelly by substituting this juice for the cold water ingredient, it made no difference to how the jelly set and the taste was fruity and delicious. Thanks Woolworths for the opportunity to try this sample. I will occasionally buy this Apple and Blackcurrant juice again because I was surprised by how delicious it tasted and the price but would be happier if it contained at least some Australian ingredients and wasn’t just packed here.

Unusual tasting juice. This product was easy to locate in store and the packaging and contents looked appealing enough for a $2 product. There was no need for the ‘shake before opening’ instruction as this filtered juice looked more like water cordial. The colour was ok but not reminiscent of fresh juice. The flavour was insipid and barely fruit juice-like with a strange (tannin-like?) and unpleasant lingering aftertaste. The package was easy to open and includes recycling instructions. But, unfortunately, if you lay this product down in the fridge it may leak even when fully tightened as mine did. Best to stand it up if you have fridge room, which I don’t. I don’t drink these ‘fruit juice’ products (whatever the claimed health rating) and instead prefer water or real fresh juice, preferably sourced locally. However, at the price, with the long shelf life prior to opening, it could be a handy pantry item especially on standby in shack/camping or other situations. Even so, based on taste alone, I would not buy this product again.
Quick fuel option before exercise. I don't normally buy reconstituted juice as I have been told they are not as nutritious as freshly squeezed juice or eating a while fruit. I did a quick search in the internet and here's what I have found - Reconstituted fruit juice is made from fruit juice concentrate and tastes slightly different from natural fruit juices. Unlike natural fruit juices that are manually extracted, reconstituted juice is produced with a juicing machine. Then the juice is placed on high heat to remove 80% of its water content. Reconstituted fruit juices do not offer the high nutritional qualities of their freshly squeezed counterparts. Enzymes required for adequate food metabolism and the immune system are destroyed through the process of heating and reconstitution. Vitamin C levels are also depleted significantly, but artificially added back by most manufacturers at a later date. Given the information, I regard this juice as a 'sometimes' food, consume them at weekend brunch. I water it down as it is a tad too sweet to my liking. I also serve it cold and add a few fresh mint leaves to give it an extra kick. The other way I have been using it is to have half a glass before my morning gym session - when I need to have some carbs but can't stomach any food first thing in the morning. The high carb content makes it and easy option to fuel and be ready for the workout. Will I buy it again? Probably not as 2L is a bit too much for my household, I may opt for the popper options as it has longer shelf life.
Economical and Delicious. I thought this was a delightful juice with the flavours of the Apples and Blackcurrants complementing one another. Surprisingly it wasn’t too sweet and I found it to be a lovely refreshing drink which would especially be great in Summer. Apart from having it straight I also popped some in a glass of sparkling mineral water which was most enjoyable as well. It is extremely economical at only $2 for 2 litres and also in this Woolworths range there are a number of other fruit flavours available. The product is made from 99% Fruit Juice with No Added Sugar and has a 5 Star Health Rating. As it is only packed in Australia using Imported Ingredients I personally doubt if I would purchase again as I would prefer to see it made with local produce ... MoreEconomical and Delicious. Where was the blackcurrant?? I've tried an apple/blackcurrant juice previously in another brand which was rather nice so I was expecting this to be lovely tasting however was beyond disappointing. All I can say was where was the blackcurrant??The juice of 'apple & blackcurrant' was basically an apple juice with 94. 8% of apple juice with a measly 4. 9% of blackcurrant which doesn't even add up to 100% when you add them both up so I'm not sure what the other bits equated too. Maybe preservatives, food colouring or I'm not quite sure?I really was not impressed with this juice as it was basically apple juice with a barely there hint of blackberry so there was false advertising as it tasted like a kind of sour with an after taste of apple which was quite unpleasant. The apple component was too dominant with basically no hint of blackberry aside from the colour so if you wish to continue this mixture then perhaps advertise as apple juice with blackcurrant colour. Or make both apple/blackberry both 50/50 to make it true & I think it would be better tasting. I was not impressed with this false advertising of sorts so a bit of work needs to be done to improve the product to make it ring true. Some additional notes to my original post about the price of $2 which I think is ok for a 2 litre container of juice. Also 'packed in Australia from imported ingredients' doesn't particularly phase me as long as it means a cheaper price on the shelf. Also I should add I did like the factor of being able to purchase it from the shelf to store in the cupboard to be able to put it in the fridge to chill rather than juice products in the fridge with a short shelf life.
Refreshing Flavour & Great Value. Usually one of my go to juices in the morning to wash down my breakfast as it has a refreshing true flavour without being over sweet and of good quality with some health benefit. Not usually a juice drinker but find this brand of good quality and a value price for 2 litres and is convenient if you require a refreshing chilled juice drink Not sure why they import the ingredients, therefore took a star off but overall it’s a juice I feel on par with the more well known expensive brands. Consistently on my shopping list.
A hit with the kids. I’m not one to usually buy juice, and if I ever do it’s for a party/treat so I get individual cartons for the kids. However, knowing my children’s love for any juice in particular, but especially apple juice, I knew this would be very well received by the family. Very easy to locate with the long life juices, distinctive in its red colour to identify it as a black currant apple flavoured juice, this product is exceptional value at $2 for a 2L bottle. I love that it had a long shelf life, so it can be something that is in your pantry for when needed. I also liked that this product is 99% fruit juice with no added sugar, so the total ‘natural’ sugar is relatively low at 8% (lower than orange juice for example. ) Ok for a treat, but not something ... MoreA hit with the kids. I decided to serve this juice chilled in a carafe, for my son’s 4th birthday party. It looked festive and allowed for 7 children to be suitably refreshed. Not too sweet and delicious in its flavour, this juice was a huge hit with all the children. It wasn’t watery and also not too tart. It is absolutely a product I’d recommend if you need or want to drink apple and black currant juice. It’s as nice as any brand and very well priced.
Economical and Tasty. This is an economical and tasty juice ideal for occasional purchase. At $2 for a two litre container. States there are no artificial colours flavours or preservatives. I did though note Natural colour (163) has been added. No added sugar but this does have 22. 3grams of sugar which would from the reconstituted fruit juices (94. 8%) Apple juice and Blackcurrant (4. 9%) based on serving size of 250mL which also yields 111 calories.
