Great for fibre. Found easily in the cereal isle. I was quite surprised at the size of the packet and thought I’ll never use it all as I’m not a cereal eater. Very versatile way to get more fibre into your diet and is 100% Australian wheat bran and nothing else. Extremely well priced at $1. 80 for 500gAs the bran is extremely fine it can be added to so many things where extra fibre is needed and no one would know as it just blended in and was tasteless. . I added to muffins, pancakes and crumbles. As the bag is so big I decanted into a glass jar as bag wasn’t resealable. I would definitely repurchase when I eventually run out.

Healthy. To be honest I was unsure what to do with this product as I’ve never used it before. I Googled some recipes and found a peanut butter bran cookies so I gave them ago. I didn’t love the recipe so I don’t think it showcased the item very well. I did use it to sPringle on cereal also which was a nice addition. Not sure I will buy again though.

What's not to like about this product? Easy to locate this product. Hard to miss with the green coloured packaging. Nice, simple design on the packaging and like the clear window on it so we can see what we are purchasing. It has "made in Australia" plastered all over the package, which is always a positive in my books. This is actually the first time I have used bran. I always try to make sure I get enough fibre in my diet by eating oats, wholemeal bread, weetbix etc. But having come across this product, this is honestly another very easy way of getting more fibre. Very versatile product. I sprinkled it in my yoghurt, milk and even some on my white bread. I can see myself incorporating this product into baking recipes. Great value for money. Hidden fibre!!! I have added this to Muffins, cookies, morning smoothies and to my yoghurt and Granola. It is great for adding fibre to my diet and really doesn't add much to the taste. I hadn't tried this one before and now it's a staple in our pantry as its cheaper than what I was previously getting.
Great for baking. I wasn't sure what to do with this one, so I consulted the good old internet. I made some Peanut butter, oat and bran cookies. Totally great for a family like ours, on a health kick lately. They tasted a lot like Belvita or Kelloggs breakfast biscuits. Even the picky husband liked them, and that is really saying something. The big pack goes a long way, so loads more creations on the horizon. Thanks very much for the sample, we will definitely get them again.
Great priced healthy addition. I used this in my morning Yoghurt and Granola and it's a great addition. The wife likes to bake so she used some in her cooking and she was pleased with the results. Would buy this as a cheaper alternative in the future
Hidden fibre. Well I haven't had this for years and used to put it in everything. So I did the same this time. This week I even put it in my stew. Just a little. When I used to make cakes and slices and even in cereal and porridge. Just a spoonful and it wasn''t noticed at all. I had a great savoury biscuit recipe that I will fish out from my cook books. When I had to look for the bran on the shelves it was with the oatmeals for porridge, right down the bottom. You can add it to your breadcrumbs when coating foods. This is a handy fibre addition. Good price and it lasts and stores for ages. Thanks for this product.
Australian wheat bran. To be honest - I have never tried this before and no idea what to use it for. So, searched some so, following are some suggestions - COPY1. Sprinkle it on top of warm oatmeal or cold cereal. 2. Add it to soups, stews and casseroles. 3. Top your yogurt or smoothies with wheat bran. 4. Bread your fish with a mixture of wheat bran and bread crumbs. 5. Use wheat bran to pancakes and waffles. 6. Add wheat bran to dinner rolls and breads. Tried 1, 3 and 5. Just not my cup of tea.
Extra fibre is great! I have never purchased bran before and upon picking up this sample I had no idea where I could find it. I went straight to the section that had the Macro products stored and then began searching around in the fruit and nuts aisle and started to scratch my head until a Woolworth's staff member let me know that it was in the cereal aisle. Ok, now that little adventure was over, I have placed a small amount of bran on my weetbix and again on my cornflakes the next day and didn't notice anything different in the taste so I feel its an added bonus to add fibre to support the digestive system. The price is great and I'm sure once this is finished (although it will last a long time) I'm sure I'll purchase it again. Thank you for the sample.
Great Product. To be truly honest I have never purchased or eaten bran before in my entire life. So I have nothing to compare it to. I added a bit to my cereal and a bit to a shake that I like to have a few times a week. Not sure if I added it at the correct rate, but it didn't affect the taste and added some good fibre. It was a very reasonable price and I love that it is Australian. Not sure if it can be done but would prefer it in a bag like flour rather than plastic, although bran may need more protection from oxygen? I am unsure? It was incredibly hard to find, but I am not sure if that is because it is a product I am not used to purchasing? I finally found it with the granola type products.
