Convenience Meal. It is frustrating that with the more being done to reduce rubbish and waste there are still products like this being sold. The cardboard box that it comes in is huge in comparison to the amount of food. Once the two plastic bags are opened, heated and empties back into the box, it fills less than 1/3rd. The excess packaging creates a number of unnecessary problems which includes extra production, extra transport wastage and extra storage space required on shelves. There are a few other producers that simply staple two food bags together and wrap a label around it. The food is okay and if it was a choice between a canned meal and this, then this tastes better.

Don’t Buy. I was looking forward to trying this microwave meal but was extremely disappointed with it. The serving of rice was adequate but the rest of the product was mainly a strange tasting sauce with very little chicken in it. The sauce tasted salty too. There was barely any vegetables in it too. I didn’t like it at all and would not buy it again despite the convenience of 90 seconds in the microwave. The product was made in Thailand which I wasn’t particularly impressed about. The cardboard pack was quite colourful and stood out on the shelf & at least that could be recycled unlike the 2 plastic pouches inside.

Disappointing. The photo on the box looks fabulous with the picture of fresh chicken chunks and steamy soft rice, unfortunately the finished product looks nothing like this. The rice is gluggy and the chicken is a mushy grey mess in sauce. It looks and smells like tuna. The colour is unappealing. Taste wise, mild ginger but little else. Went in the bin. Made in ThailandBetter products around for the price.

Convenient but disappointing. I can appreciate the presentation of this product and the concept. The folding box is very cute with clear instructions. It's easy to store on the shelf and has a very long use-by date (over a year on the one that I picked up). The list of ingredients isn't too bad - with no artificial flavours, preservatives or colours and it has a 3. 5 star health rating. But the texture and taste once cooked wasn't very nice. Maybe it's too much to expect from a product with a long shelf life though. The sodium content is high for those watching it, 37% of R. D. I. I can see that this product could be useful, but it's too unappetizing for me.

Handy for lunch. Had this for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised how much chicken was there. Capsicum was just soggy, like it had been frozen, defrosted and put in with the sauce. I had to pick it out as not edible. Plenty of sauce and rice. Even though I shook rice packet very well before microwaving, still had to break it down with a fork before adding sauce. Like that both heated up at the same time. Don't really like it is 100% from Thailand and quite high in salt and garlic. Was tasting the garlic most of the afternoon. Not sure if would buy again. Not impressed. The picture on the box makes the meal look inviting. The reality is quite different. The instructions are easy to following and the cooking time is perfect. When putting the rice into the box the rice was just a gluggy mess. Adding the sauce to the rice it made it look like soup. It did not taste good as the only thing that could be tasted was the garlic and ginger. I had a very small amount and the rest went in the bin. Unfortunately I had to give it 1 star. Not impressed. The colourful packaging stood out on the supermarket shelf. The product description on the sturdy box made it sound appealing. However I was disappointed with this product. Easy to follow cooking instructions but the plastic packs didn't stand up properly in the microwave and I ended up spilling some of the contents. The chicken pieces were tender but scarce. It was more just sauce and rice. The smell was OK while cooking but the taste was strange and not appealing. It also looked like a box of mush once cooked. I tried some but couldn't stomach it and ended throwing the rest out. Not good value for what you get. Thanks for the sample but I wouldn't buy this again.

Nooooooo. I’m really not sure how this one made it to the shelves at all!The flavour was very unbalanced and confused. The rice was gluggy and there was so much sauce it was more of a soup. The chicken did not taste like chicken and felt more like you were eating tuna. If you somehow enjoyed this one, the serving size definitely would have disappointed. The daughter and I had tried a little and then it went in the bin. Sorry Woolies, this was definitely a Friday arvo job.

Just ok. I gave this sample to hubby to try as he was looking for a quick easy lunch. He found the heating instructions easy to follow and the packaging easy to open. As he wasn't sure of the power of our microwave he heated for 110sec and it was definitely hot enough. He doesn't really like ginger, but said the taste was rather mild. The flavour altogether was not what he expected as he said it tasted funny and the chicken was rubbery. The product is made in Thailand and has a 3. 5 SHR. Conclusion was that it would be ok if you were hungry and nothing else was available.
